Kenta nodded in quiet admiration, she did this all by herself (except of course the things she had just said) if he even attempted this it would never be as close as the beauty that was in front of him. He gave out an sigh as the woman turned down his offer but her reasons were perfectly correct, he had to agree. He was just a little guilty of not helping, no doubt that characteristic of his personality was already built in.
"It's alright," his voice was polite as he said this, "..Of course I will." he said, turning his head to the cowboy host. He walked over a little closer to Xan, his eyes appeared to be looking at him but unconsciously still observing the colorful surroundings. Glancing over his shoulder he watched as the other two started going into the house once again to set up the tables and such outside. Maybe he could help them with things when they came back, he nodded his head. He couldn't help that he wanted to help out.

Xan had felt someone's presence behind him as he admired the garden. He turned to find the stoic waiter taking in he foliage as well though his unreadable expression seemed slightly concerned. Placing a hand on his shoulder he looked down upon the man with a soft smile. "Chin up, sport. It's not every day that you have someone wait on you. Don't look so down, just enjoy being the guest." He spoke, he had overheard Hae-min speaking with Kenta and expected that his helping would not be considered since he was the guest. He knew these customs all too well with his mother... a traditional woman after his own heart.
Instead he tried distracting the other ushering him toward the tree for shade. "You have to admit with help or not she really out did herself. I've not seen a garden so refined such as this in a while." He gave another appreciative glance around before settling on the waiter. "Tell me Kenta, have you done any star gazing lately? I recall a certain waiter promising a cowboy his first taco... " He was looking up at the sky now but managed a side long glance to the waiter.

"Thank you," she said, then she hurried back to Brad's side and took his hand. If she didn't look, she didn't see the scars there- her grip, she thought, was tight enough anyway. Brad and Kenta, they were okay- their hair was dark, she could pass them off for almost Korean in her thoughts, but Xan was taller even than Brad and light-haired besides. Inside the door, she slipped her shoes back on. With a cheerful smile, she tugged him through a small sitting room and into the brightly-lit kitchen. On an island in the center of the room was a stack of four plates with a small basket of cutlery beside it. Several covered bowls of varying size were placed on the counter, each piece of pottery warm to the touch. She walked down the row, peeking inside to ascertain the contents.
Yes, it looked like everything was already out except cups (she pulled four delicate-looking cups from a glass-fronted cabinet and placed them on the stack of plates). She handed off the basket, plates and cups to Brad, along with two smaller bowls. "Be very careful, oppa." Then she shooed him back outside, following to open the screen for him. In several trips, she brought out the food and two jugs (tea and water). For another two minutes, she organized everything properly on the square table- the four small bowls in the corners, the plates (actually very shallow bowls) in their proper places, and the rest of the food organized. She took chopsticks for herself and laid out a choice of both for the others. Personally, she found knives and forks rather awkward.
She paused, looking over her handiwork with a critical eye. "It okay to come over now," she announced, smirking victoriously at the arrangement.

The older man squeezed Hae-min's hand as his own was grasped, moving at her pace with a fond smile. He had no idea his scars bothered her, of course, or he'd take more caution, but for the time being he was happy to be lead back into the house by the young woman. Brad slipped his makeshift shoes back on as Hae-min did, chuckling at her bright smile as she continued to lead him like a lost lamb. He didn't mind in the least.
He observed all that was made, whistling softly under his breath. "Were you intending to feed a small army, sorella?" he asked with humor, taking everything that was handed to him as gracefully as possible. Balancing the finer things and tucking others against his chest, he carefully made his way back outside, taking twice as much care to put the items down in a mindful manner. Brad waited by the table, making sure he wouldn't be required for any more moving, watching her fuss over the table just so with a quiet shake of his head. She was a work of art, his 'sister,' and he doted on her for it.
The man could have kissed her at the sight of the fork and knives; he would not embarrass himself or her this eve with chopsticks. His off-blue gaze turned towards his two friends, watching them for a time before turning his attention back to Hae-min at her final approval. "You're going to spoil us rotten, you know," he commented softly. "Everything looks perfect." He meant the arrangements, of course, and it seemed proper to compliment her after all the work put into it.

The waiter turned to the man with a kind and soft expression on his face, feeling a lot more light hearted at his words. He couldn't help it though, he was used to busying himself with something and helping anybody whenever he had the chance. But nevertheless he agreed with Xan and understood why Hae-Min did not accept his help. Kenta moved a little closer to the older man sand in their current positions it was clear that Xan towered over Kenta's modest frame. He felt comforted by the fact that the other man was so tall for some reason, the only thing that was bad about the man's height was that Kenta had a slightly hard time patting the man on the shoulder. He touched Xan lightly on the back in thanks for his kind words.
"Yes, she did. I've never seen a garden quite like this." he took another glance at the plants before turning back to the older man again. He followed him to the shade and stood beside him as he spoke, a small smile appering on his face at the man's last few words. "I'll get to that one time. I didn't forget that wish of yours of course." he paused, looking thoughtful, "It's hard to find a good taco place around here.. i've never tried one as well i'm afraid." He almost didn't notice the two other people come out again and et up the table. The young man looked at them as they fixed the table, wanting to help but restraining himself since they were done with settting up quite quickly.

Xan chuckled kindly a light rumble from his chest. "To be honest I don't really like tacos but how about we make an adventure of it. We'll go for lunch in search of the elusive taco joint. You up for it?" He questioned as he eyed the waiter with baited breath. He didn't mind spending some more time with the waiter, in fact, it might be fun to invite another. His gaze slide past the waiter to Brad but then he went back to Kenta his expression revealing nothing more.
"Anyway..." again his eyes trailed to the other two for a moment before he looked to Kenta. "Think they're ready for us?" He questioned already set to coming over. He hoped he wasn't being rude but wanted to make certain everything was going well with them. "Pardon if I'm intruding but if you need an extra hand, it's no problem, Ms. Hae-Min." He offered trying not to over exert himself but being polite just the same. He knew it was impolite to be overbearing at another's house when they insisted on being a proper host/hostesses. He remained in a safe distance admiring the set up in silence.

"It not meal for small army. It tradition, oppa," she said in a slightly scolding tone. Of course she was kidding, though, she would never ever ever even dream of scolding Brad for real. She stood and hurried back inside for just a moment, returning with two jugs that filled the empty space on the table. "Tea," she said, pointing, "and water." Then she sat, and waited for everyone else to do the same.
She tilted her head back to look at Xan properly, though she still refrained from eye contact. "Of course it alright, please sit."

A bit of a grin lit his features, nodding to Hae-min to indicate he wasn't offended. Even if she had been serious, she was so cute in her indignant statement that Brad couldn't have been offended if she tried. He carefully lowered himself into one of the seats, sitting closest to Hae-min, craning his neck around to turn his smile onto Xan. His expression was one of gratitude; he was grateful both his friends were so helpful and considerate.
He remained silent otherwise, resting his hands in his lap, not knowing if it was rude to place them on the table just yet. Truthfully he didn't know a lot of what would be considered rude in Hae-min's home, so he felt it might be best to simply parrot the younger woman unless told otherwise. Brad figured he couldn't stick his foot too far in his mouth if he didn't open it, right?

Kenta was a little surprised at the man's invitation but gave him a small smile instead, nodding his head in agreement "That sounds great," he paused and thought of possible places where the both of them could go. "I look forward to that time." he thought of it as a little one on one time that he could have with Xan, it never crossed his mind that they would possibly have other company besides themselves.
The young waiter looked over his shoulder and saw the two other people reappear, setting up the table in a very nice and organized manner. Kenta walked over to the table and took bow before taking the empty seat nearest to him, keeping silent as he did this. He noticed the chopsticks on the table and felt rather happy seeing those utensils beside the knives and forks.
He kept his hands on his lap, taking time to straighten up the blouse he was wearing as he sat. Kenta waited until the woman told them it was alright to start doing anything, after all, he knew some traditions were strict since he came from a family like that.

Xan smiled to Hae-Min then Brad, giving Kenta time to take his seat before occupying the last remaining chair. He sat quietly folding his hands within each other as he set them on the table mindful to keep his elbows off. Looking around at the group he looked down at his plate quickly wondering what was next and deciding he'd wait on the hostess before doing anything that could otherwise be offensive.
He gave Kenta a reassuring smile before dropping his attention on Hae-Min. It was at this point with his family they all would hold hands and say a prayer of thanks but he wasn't sure of Hae-Min's background and so waited patiently.

She bent forward a little in her seat to start taking off lids from the dishes; these she placed in a neat stack next to her chair. "Kimchii," she said, pointing, "pickled radishes. Spicy, so please be careful!" Like a good hostess, she explained what each thing was as she took the lid off. Then, determined to set a good example, she plucked a (small, as she was too nervous to eat much) helping of each dish and put it on her plate. With a curious look around the table, Hae-min gestured that they should do the same.

'Amused' didn't quite cover Brad's expression as he watched everyone, lips curving almost dangerously into a smile. He was not good at walking on eggshells, and it seemed like his current company was positively waltzing on said eggshells. With a quiet chuckle he tried to keep to himself, he followed his sister's lead, eyes lingering over the 'kimchii' with interest. Those sounded quite tasty, as he had a tooth for spicy things.
He relaxed in his seat, eyes shifting over the trio thoughtfully. Hae-min, looking as lovely as ever, was nervous but doing her best; he was very proud of her. Xan, the engimatic cowboy, as polite and courteous as any one person could or should be. And Kenta, just being himself. That made him grin a bit, attention lingering on the latter of the three. The waiter would have made quite a Host, if he'd just smile more.
