 "Perhaps, or perhaps the loss is yours."
Red eyes narrowed, the hint of a smirk on his maw. He watched in silence, her posture, the change in her breath, each flick of muscle followed with a warrior's eye. He could see it, the effect that her feelings had on her physical form, as clearly as if it had been written in the sand.
"Then show me, if you think you can."
Ashi remained unreadable, eyes as cold as his coat was brilliant, ironic that such a creature should appear to burn as fire. On another day he might have simply slain her, it made no difference to him whether she lived or died. But she was far to interesting for such a fate, why did she care so, where did that irritating stubbornness come from, and why did he see sorrow in her eyes? Perhaps if he mimicked emotion she would show him what he wanted to know. It wouldn't hurt, to know what it was like to be with another.

She listened as she drank but her head shot up at his second comment. Show him? Show him what? That he was missing out on something or that it made you stronger... there were many things he could mean!
"Show you what?"
Her eyes stared at his, full of curiosity. She wanted to know what he wanted her to show him and of course she would do it. She would do anything to try and teach this male something. He was a curious thing and so she knew she would always have a soft spot for him, even if he did try to kill her one day as he had threatened before. She just wasn't bothered, if thats what he had to do, fine so be it but she would do her best to show him that emotions weren't as bad as he made them out to be.

"Show me what emotion means, and why it is worth holding on to."
His tail flicked once, his gaze unwavering. He had caught her off guard, good, it would make her that much easier to manipulate. But then, maybe he didn't need to manipulate her at all, it seemed she was willing before he had even spoken. Would she do whatever he asked?
"Show me what it means to be with another."
It was what seemed most important to her, he wished to know why. Did others long for companionship as well? He had never seen such in his own mother, who had only sought to create strong offspring, yet for some there was more than that. Why?
And perhaps there was more she could show him, in understanding perhaps he would come to feel himself. Or at least, that was what he would allow her to believe, until the time when she was no longer interesting.

She knew what was coming in some ways and well she didn't really mind. She was all too willing if only because the one she loved was now gone forever. She let out a soft sigh and then nodded.
"I will allow you though you will not find out what emotions mean or why they are worth holding onto."
She stated the fact. It didn't take a genius to work out that just being with another wouldn't show what feelings were, why they were so essential but for a while it would ease her own pain that she had learnt to hide so well.
"However if knowing that you still want to..."
She lowered herself in submission, not something she would normally do but she had to hope that her own pain would ease. For that reason alone she would go through with this because she knew it wouldn't change Ashi's mind.

A smirk spread across his maw, it was all too easy, how easily manipulated these emotions were. She hadn't even objected, did she really think he could offer what she could not have, that such a cold creature could stop the pain he saw in her eyes? Foolishness, he would have pitied her if he could.
The time they spent together would be brief, there would be no tenderness, no attachment. For Ashi it was nothing more than a physical contact necessary to learn what he needed to know, a source of valuable information.
When the moment was over they would part ways, he would leave without a passing thought. For Saburi the effects may have been much greater, and act she was not so likely to forget, but for Ashi that was the end, there was nothing more to be gained. He had what he wanted, learned what he needed, and there was simply nothing else to it. If he had learned the value of emotion, it was that it was a far greater weakness than he could have ever imagined, a dangerous tool in the hands of an assassin.
