Gethin finally sat down, loosely curling his tail around him. "Perhaps something will, or perhaps something will not." He glanced at Kega, deciding to inform her in. "Melpomene is the muse of tragedies, Kega. Tragedy follows in her wake."

Kega's tail twisted back and forth. " Well I'm sorry for you then Melpomene..." She said truly and generously the best she could. She felt sad for the wolf but wasn't sure what he meant.

Melpomene looked at Gethin and shook her head with a smile. "Ever the optimist." She said frowning at Kega, "Save your pity and your sorry's. I am used to it already so there is no need for that kind of stuff. It's something that I have accepted as my fate."

Gethin shrugged lightly, smiling in return. "Just who I am." He paused, his tail flickering against the ground lightly as he glanced between the two. Should he try and change the subject? "What brings you out this way?"

Kega saw that her leader let go of the subject and she let it go also. It was so confusing everyone was. She wandere how these 2 had met. How did he know how unfortunate she was It was possibly before he met her. Probably. She was confused while she had not joined the pack.

Melpomene noticed the change in the subject and smirked. "My wanderings have brought me around here. Then I caught your scents and decided to see who had join you." She said looking to Kega, "I suppose it's nice to have a pack. I hope you have good times Kega with yours." She noticed a confused look on the other female. "What confuses you?"

Gethin nodded, smiling lightly though remaining quiet. His amber eyes strayed between both females, before curiously looking to Kega. "Something on your mind, Kega?"

Kega snapped out of the small trance and swished her tail. " Ohh uhh nothing... just wandering... what time... of day it is.." She lied the said " i am confused because I don't know what time of day it is..." She comfirmed.

Melpomene looked at Kega with her head cocked. "Really? Well it's twilight.... night has almost fallen on us." She said moving her tail before scratching an ear.

Gethin stared at Kega for a moment longer, exhaling softly. Perhaps he'd ask what was truly bothering her later. He glanced up at the sky, a thought rolling across his mind. Should he ask? What was the worst she could say... "Melpomene, why don't you stay here, with us..?" True, it was going out on a limb. But he could try..

Kega's ears perked at the question. She pondered a second. She knew it would be great for another helix to be here. But was she really dangerous? She would not let her leader get harmed.

Melpomene looked at Gethin shocked. He knew about her past.... some of it anyways. She told him. Yet he was still offering her a place to call home once again. "......... That's...... a generous offer....... Are you sure?" She said quietly. She was truly touched by the offer.

Gethin smiled in return to pair, nodding to Melpomene. "Yes," He paused lightly, shifting where he sat. "I am sure. Afterall, everyone deserves another chance." He had, or he would not be where he sat at that moment.

Kega looked at Melpomene. She wouldn't say it but she thought what her leader was doing was exactly what he should do, what Gethin would do. The Gethin that she knew not the other half that she had seen or will see on a hunt.

Melpomene looked at Gethin for a moment before slowly nodding her head. "Well I guess I'll take this chance and join you and Kega. It'll be nice to have a place to call home." She said with her tail wagging.
