A slight purr escaped at the affection and attention, and she gave a light nod of her head. Weither she actually heard and understood his words was debatable, but, she was silent as she moved to follow him along wherever he wished to lead her.
In her own strange way, she too seem to be becoming just as attached to the young rebel as he was to her. As they went, away from the more busy, and populated section of the land, she suddenly stopped, green eyes roaming about. " She speaks... " It was barely a whisper as she stood still, ears perked, as it listening for something.
" Yes, she calls... " Turning away from him, Yu padded out into the desert, eyes moving across the rocks in search of something. " A home~ Home for Yu is close~ "

Jua had to admit, he only understood... maybe half of the things that Yu told him. But he was alright with that. He liked her... and he doubted that many would, considering how... well, odd she seemed to be. He didn't get her, but he liked her.
"Whatever you say pet. Now come on, let's find you a nice place to stay where you can gain some strength... after all, the desert isn't the kindest place." He said, guiding her towards some of the abandoned caves. Best to keep her out of the way where no one would see her...
...he didn't want someone attacking her.

She happily moved after him again after her slight wander, running ahead into one of the caves. " The light! She ate it! " She said quite cheerfully as she went into the cool darkness. " Yes. Home. Jua and Yu's home now. " She smiled, spinning around to pad back across to him. " You like our new home, daddy? Mummy likes it very much. "
They were fairly nice. Likely only abandoned due to the sudden decrease in the size of the pride after the Rebellion. It was just close enough for no guards to patrol to near, and just far enough to be forgotten. Yu should be, for the most part, safe in 'their home'. If she would actually bother to stay near to it most days, of course.
The word 'danger' had yet to ever really register in her mind. She held no caution toward anything, least of all creatures that were similar to herself. In a logically illogical way, she believed that those who were so like herself had no reason to hurt her.

"Of course she did Yu." He told her, smiling as Yu ran around inside her new home. "Now... quick ground rules love. You have to stay in here whenever I'm not around. I'll bring you food whenever I can, and I'll do my best to keep you nice and safe and the like. But you can't leave, or daddy will be displeased if you know what I mean."
Maybe he should have talked slower? He wasn't sure. Yu seemed to be barely certain of what was happening around her half the time. Oh well, he'd have to find some way to work around it. He couldn't let something awful happen to her.
She needed him. She actually needed him to protect her... and no one had ever done that before. No one had ever NEEDED him to keep them safe... and now he felt like he had a calling. And he was starting to love his calling.

A light pout appeared at his words, and her head cocked to the side, slowly making her way back towards him with that surprising amount of grace.
She seemed to fully take in what he said this time, and certainly didn't seem entirely happy about it. " You'll come back often, wont you? My sweet wouldn't leave me here all alone... "
Indeed, the young girl seemed to very much need protecting. Perhaps more from herself, than any other. She had little care towards herself on the best of days. While she kept up with her appearance, wounds, hunger, and various more vital things could be completely ignored.
She smiled, before he had the chance to reply, sitting in front of him. " Yes.. You'll come back. My Jua will always come back. "

Jua smiled at her, putting his paw on her head and grinning, "Of course love. Never fret. I'll always be looking out for you..." He couldn't really take his eyes off her. For all that she was strange he also found her beautiful... clearly completely insane, but beautiful. And the way he felt for her... he had never felt for anyone else.
"Never worry about me my pet. I'll always come back to you and I'll never forget." He swore to her, standing up and turning to go. "I'll go and get you something to eat. Stay here... I promise I'll watch over you. Always."
And he would. Because there was something special about her. And he would protect her until he died, or she did. And he certainly wasn't about to let that happen... even if she was technically the enemy. But he would sort that out later. "I'll come back..."

" Always, always. " She smiled, settling down in the cave, against the wall to nap while she awaited his return. He would never leave her, like the others. No this one would always be at her side. No matter the pain she could bring him in the end.
Stretching out slowly, Yu let a content smile pass over her lips. " A bloody end it shall be, how nice... But no... No time soon. "
In a moment, she was sound asleep, hidden by the darkness of the cave, their new secret home.
