im looking for some disadvantages they would have

hmm...well like i said they will not notice traps to well so jsut stand on the other side of a pit and they will run into it for a while. one may get smart, but that's one about of every oh...i'd say about 20 to 40. jsut to be safe.

The average sight of a zombie is no different than human.
Zombies have excellent hearing, and can determine the direction from where it came.
They have a more acute sense of smell. They can distinguish the smell of living prey above all others.
The undead have no physical sensations, no sense of touch.
The average life-span of a zombie (before completely rotting away) is 3-5 years.
Their strength is the same as the human they once were, however they possess alot of stamina. They do not feel pain or exhaustion past their limits and will continue until the muscles literally disintegrate.
As for speed they tend to limp, due to the lack of coordination.
The average human possesses a dexterity level 90 percent greater than zombies. In even the simple coordination needed for climbing a ladder, only 1 out of 4 will succeed.
The average mental capacity of a zombie it that of about an insect.

Our greatest advantage over the undead is our ability to think.

wishful thinker. if your right( and i wish you would be) then things would be a lot easyer.

That theory was based on research and studies.

look why would they be decaying?
that would mean their muscles would not be geting o2 which would means the lungs and heart are not working which would mean they couldn't move. and they will can't smell better. why would their sences be better then a humans? that makes no sence at all! and why will they be walking? there will be at least a few that can run.

AGAIN:

the virus that infects them makes them have no need for human dependencies like food or air
they do not sleep or rest.
the virus makes for a completely self-sufficient organism.
the circulatory, digestive, or respiratory system are no longer needed to support the brain, making attempts to destroy or severely damage them useless.
the lack of fluid mass prevents easy transmutation, otherwise close-range combat would be nearly impossible

i dont think your completely right
they wouldnt be decaying
and they would still need food just would actually try to get any
if they didnt get anyfood they would probaly starve after a week or two or three

yes they would need food. it is impossable for a vire to chang the human body's systems that much. and how could you study a viruse that does not exist?
PostPosted: Wed Aug 05, 2009 4:12 pm
um....why are you guys arguing? You guys have two diffent view that I don't think you will chang.

If anyone needs further info on such a topic as this,
I would highly suggest you read "The Zombie Survival
Guide" By Max Brooks (Son of famous funny guy and
director, Mel Brooks). I would also highly suggest you
read "World War Z" Also by Max Brooks. The first one
goes into comedic detail and the second one comes
from a serious POV. One detail I find fascinating about
Zombies that I read in TZSG is that (And I quote directly
from the book I might add) "Due to Mortis Urgen, the
process of oxygen leaving the body during the decaying
of human muscle, a Ghoul (Aka Zombie) will have no
limitations on strength and agility as there is a substantial
increase of released oxygen being emitted throughout the
muscles. It stays with the muscle until a 'Clot' forms and
cause spontaneous dysfunction of the nervous system
leading to permanent paralysis from which the Ghoul may
no longer move and die of starvation..."

End quote. Hope this sheds some light on this conversation
piece. =3

do you think we would be able to find any use for them if we could manipulate them or somthing?
PostPosted: Thu Aug 27, 2009 6:36 pm
peobly. They don't tire and feel no pain so they could work at all hours. plus the tempature doesn't really effect them.

Well folks I have gotten my hands on a copy of World War Z and well…….the science is crap. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good work of FICTION. But the way the virus works isn’t possible. And I admit the way the army failed and well everything failed was right on the mark of what I see happening but I still can’t get over the virus and how it works.
