[ A] Repondez S'il Vous Plait [ A] Entry by SaigeToday I got this strange letter, one simply asking for me to appear at a strange address. I couldn't really pass the idea, I've never gotten a letter before, and the seal of the letter caught my eye. Usually, I'm a very cautious person, and I keep to myself since I work both day and night shifts, but this just called to me. So, I took the day off and headed to the compound, not too sure what to expect.
When I got there, no one was around, just the sound of Christmas music and the air off. However, a girl appeared out of nowhere and fixed the problem with the compound, and seemed to bring her own heat to the room. She was absolutely happy that I was there, and offered a warm smile and a welcoming explanation as to why I was summoned.
She explained to me that children were created, with unique blood, and were waiting for parents to take them in and give them a life in the real world. I never expected to have kids, but just the sound of these lonely children called to me and I accepted to take one without thinking. Maybe if I thought it over, I might have decided otherwise, but in all honesty, I doubt it. The story, and the background, was just too sad for me to turn down.
So, she led me to where the children lived, and I looked in and right away fell in love. The girl left to get the paperwork, but all I could see was a beautiful girl sitting in a tub of water, her hair translucent and her skin different, but she was still a child. Her name was Saar, and she needed a home, and I decided to take her in. And at that moment, I became a mother, of the most beautiful child I have ever seen.

[ J] Getting Used To The House [ J] Entry by SaigeOn the way home, Saar was quite silent, instead she seemed taken with the view of the world. I am not sure if she has ever really gone outside of the compound she was born in, but even if she has, I'm sure she hasn't been this far out. So, we didn't really talk at all while we walked back, and she just held my hand as we walked home.
When we got inside, she became more reserved, as if she didn't think she belonged. So, I gave her some time to adjust, and before long she was ready to look around the house. Saar is a silent child, though she is still young, and I think once she gets used to this new world, she'll be happy and vibrant like many of the other children in this town.

[ PD] Baby's First Haircut [ PD] Entry by Saige
Today I took Saar to get her haircut for the first time, at least for her first time with me. I am not sure if she has ever gotten a real haircut in the lab, but I'm sure there were some trimmings here and there. So as we walked down the street, she still was quite shy and never left my side, and for some reason she seemed to want to go back home and hide in the tub.
When we arrived, we actually saw another little girl just like Saar, basically it seemed there are more children from the Lab. This girl, named Layla, was a cheeky little thing, who held a lot of spirit and actually came up to Saar on her own. Though my little girl seemed a bit shy at first, but they hit it off after a little persistence from Layla.
I also was able to get the girl's information, so we could set up a playdate later. From the sound of Saar's chatter, it seemed like a swimming party would be in the near future.
Thankfully, the thought of friends distracted my little girl from the fear of getting her haircut.

[J] Decorating Her Room [J]
Entry by Saige It was hard work deciding how to decorate Saar's room, because even the girl was not sure exactly what she wanted. So first, we decided to paint the walls a stormy sea color, first painting it a dark blue and than using sponges to lightly splatter colors of lighter blue and even white. In the end, it looked like swirls of waves with the splashes of white dotting the tips.
Than, I brought in her bed, which was small and had dark blue sheets like the wall with silver pillows. The carpet to her room stayed white, and her lights were covered with blue to give off the glow of the sea. Her window had drapes of white like the carpet, and next to her bed was a night stand. On the other side of the window we put a shelf and bookcase for some reading stuff, and next to the door I put my old desk from when I was a child.
Saar seemed pretty excited about the end result of her room, and right away she seemed happy to look at the journal and crystal ball I placed on her desk. I think this will be a great place for her to grow up in.

Last night I went to a sleepover! Momma dropped me off, and only kids my age were allowed to go. I saw Layla and Albin and met lots of new kids. They all were special like me, and we had a lot of fun. We ordered pizza and played games and stayed up late because the momma there didn't care what we did. I stayed up later than my momma would ever let me!
I even was able to compare my hair with Layla's, but I think she is growing faster than me. I need to catch up, because I dont want her to look prettier than me, because momma says I'm the prettiest of them all!
I hope I can have another sleepover soon, I had a lot of fun and met a lot of cool new people!

[J] Movie Night [J]
Entry by Saar Momma brought a movie home today, a Disney one about a princess who kisses a frog. She really wanted to watch it as soon as she got home. She said it was new, and good. So we watched it with popcorn and drinks.
I really liked the movie, it was very colorful and lots of fun. Momma said she always wanted to be a princess, just like in the movie. I wouldn't want to kiss a frog...though I would like to be pretty and loved by men. One day I will find a prince, but not by waiting, I will find him and drag him home. Momma will see that it's easy to get princes. Plus, I'm also very pretty, and princes like pretty princesses.

Today momma took me to see my other parent, the one that wasn't a siren. I was told by momma on the way there that I needed to spend time with them to get to know myself. So I went into a pretty room where there were a few horses. Two of them were white, but according to my momma my horse would be black with glowing eyes.
That horse was all the way across the room eating something that smelt sharp, and I could hear her all the way from the door. When I tried to go over and get her attention, she seemed to have nothing to do with me. She even turned away from me completely. Just like when I visited the siren, they didn't seem like they cared. So, I walked back to the door and sat down, watching her eat the whole time until momma came back.
I don't really like her that much...I would rather be with momma than both of my parents. Momma at least buys me pretty stuff.

Entry By Saige A few months back I sent in a favor to an old friend to paint a picture of my Saar. It was back when she first arrived in the house, and still was accustomed to her fin and lack of clothing. It was a great day, and we had a lot of fun working on the sketches despite how antsy my girl got.
When I got the painting, though, I nearly had forgotten all about the request. So, it was such a surprise that I started to cry. It reminded me just how much my baby has grown since the day I picked her up at the lab. She's such a beautiful girl, and I can't wait to see where she goes from here...

[M] Ghosts and Ghouls and Haunted Trees, Oh My! [M] Entry By Saar
It's Halloween time and momma let me trick-or-treat at the lab! I dressed up as a witch and went from room to room to get lots and lots of candy! The first place I went no one answered, but after that I got lots of candy from lots of cool people. I even saw a big tree that winked at me!
It was lots of fun, and I really liked how my outfit looked...I can't wait until next year, and hopefully I'll get even more candy!!
