Noticing the zombie hands pop out the ground, Evans knew it wasn't too much of a problem. He simply just stepped on most of them, knowing that they were just hands after all. Normally, he would just consider that too much work. But seeing as how he needed food-and the fact that her pendant was connected with necromancy- he couldn't just pass up the opportunity. So, he decided to take the to the rooftops and prowl them there. Then he'd strike when he had the chance.

*Amelie watched as he moved then redirected her focus on Meph.* "So where are you heading?"

Mephistopheles says:
((I already have it set up, so we can move over to it right away)) "I was wandering, but I'm headed back home now. You can come if you want."

Evans would have followed them until his own feet had fallen off, if not for the sounds of explosions and battle off near the castle walls. Now, a necromancy amulet was one thing, but a battlefield full of dead men was easy pickins for at least something of value. So, he headed out to the battlefield, hoping to find some free valuables for his meal.

Walking slowly down the crowed streets of the city the red head held her pack close to her. She didn’t want to look like an easy target. But then again what was one girl going to do against any sort of assault. There was supposed to be some sort of opportunity here, or that was the excuse she gave to come here. Something inside had told her to come to this city after the unfortunate happenings in the small city she had last been in. Sighing a little she tucked a bit of unruly hair behind her ear. “Well, maybe something will look familiar,” she said to herself. To many times before random people and words would trigger a past memory. Sage was pretty sure that this place would be no differnet as she continued to walk down the street searching for help wanted signs.
Stealing without protection didn’t seem like a good course or action. Her hand moved to her heart or rather the last bit of money she had left. It was like touching it made it seem more real. Looking around she started down a street to make it at least appear like she knew where she was going. Perhaps she did? She didn’t know, but at least for now walking seemed safe then standing still in a crowd of action.

Maverick walked the streets of the market looking for another sword. preferably one that is longer and sharper. A Naginata would be good but so would a Katana with a 4 foot to 5 foot blade... How does a 5 foot blade come out of its sheath? He pondered these questions as he continued to walk around. He spotted a girl that seemed to be nervous about something walking around the market.

There was a strange feeling that washed over Sage. The feeling of someone’s eyes on her. It caused her shoulders to slightly roll. Chestnut colored eyes flicked around the marketplace. No ones eyes were on her, or so she could tell. “You’re just being paranoid,” she told herself as tried to shake the feeling, but only caused her sneeze. Chuckling softly she thought about how that meant someone was thinking about you. Looking up and around once more, her eyes strayed over a man. Yikes, she thought as here eyes flicked over the man. Her eyes quickly left him hoping that his gaze wouldn’t stay on her for to long. But maybe he is friendly? Do you want to take that risk? Chewing on her lip softly she tilted her head to the nearest store or table. Letting her hair fall softly over her face she gave a sigh. Looking over to the man once more, she weighed out the options and if he did attack her did she have anything she could defend herself with? Or perhaps she could out run him?

Maverick caught her gaze as she looked his way. He could of sworn he had seen her before within the last millennium... But then again he has seen plenty of people come and go throughout his life... What the hell he might as well go and say hi. the worst she could do is just say no or not interested right there on the spot. but then again there were those girls that over reacted and cut heads off when surprised... He walked over to the stand she was on. "Interesting wears huh?" he asked her "You a traveler as well mam?"

Taking a deep breath she went to touch one of the shiny babbles that were on the table before her. Distraction, that was the name of the game, though truly she was all to aware of his approach. Please be pleasant, please… she thought as the merchant whose wares she was eyeing lowered his gaze to her as to make sure she wasn’t going to steal anything. Breathing in and out slowly she knew he was close even before he spoke. Something about his energy was rather familiar. Was this the reason she came to this city. Or perhaps she was searching for something and since he spoke pleasantly to her Sage couldn’t help but relax… just the smallest bit. But not enough to let him see her apprehension. “Interesting, if not a bit over priced,” she said thinking of the small amount she had left. That would go towards food and lodgings until she could find some place to stay. In a causal manner as she turned slightly to him. “I suppose you would call me a traveler.” She didn’t know whether she should talk to much about why she was here. Looking crazy and pathetic was not something she relished. “I came to the city to find employment. Are you just passing through?” There polite but not overly probing. This guy still could go crazy on her. But then again… Something about him still was familiar, she couldn’t put her finger on it. Maybe they had crossed paths before in one of her former lives.

He could sense how tense she was. Her energy reflected it. But she did look familiar even more now that he was closer to her. He looked at the item she was eying. The price was not too bad. However the merchant looked like he was ready to call the guards cause of her constant eying of the items with no purchase. He smiled over to the merchant and placed his empty hand on the table. When he removed it coins were now underneath it. "My friend would like to purchase something from here this should be enough to cover the costs" he said as he looked over to her. "Im a wanderer. Yes i am passing through but i might end up staying here for a little while longer then i previously thought. There are plenty of jobs here actually. It just depends on what you like to do"

Sage couldn’t help but blink several times when the man some how magically put down the money for her to pick out something. It crossed her mind how a wanderer had the money to just buy something from someone he didn’t know. Or did he know her? Confused chestnut eyes looked over to him. Friend? she thought looking the guy over a little then to the disgruntled merchant. It was then she became very aware of rag a muffin looks. She hadn’t gotten fully cleaned in awhile. A random river was the last time she had washed her face fully. The sun had done its worst lately with making her freckles sprout out everywhere. Her hair wasn’t combed because she hadn’t really thought about it. Grabbing up one of the smaller items she said, “Thanks.” A small smile came easily over her lips as she backed away from the table. She didn’t want to bother the poor merchant who was probably annoyed at her enough. “I really can’t find work for what I like to do. Not many people want someone that likes to tinker. But I can do and done just about anything.” she said with a shrug. “We should probably get moving,” she said looking over to the merchant. “Since you seem to have been here longer than me. Know any place to get a good cheap meal? My treat?” What was she doing? Inviting this random man to dinner. She didn't even know his name. "My name is Sage Rose, most people call me by one name or the other," she started, "Its the least I could do for this?" She said holding up the item.

Bale walked into the trade district with no real direction in mind. All she knew was she needed to replace her dress. She moved through the people in the market without really paying attention. Her blood stained dress caught peoples eyes but who hadn't seen something strange in this city?

Maverick smiled as he walked with her "Its a pleasure to meet you Sage. My name is Maverick. Its really not necessary to buy anything for me. " he told her. after all he only ate and drank socially. "So you tinker with stuff? You create items and improve old ones hmm? Thats a pretty good talent. Not many people here that can do that but for that same reason not many jobs for it either...." he made note of her looks. She looked like she had not had a good place to rest in a while. He was sure he could hook her up with a place back at the mercenary camp. "So where are you resting tonight miss Sage?" he asked her.

Sage chuckled a little for some reason when he said his name. Swallowing she held it back, it wasn’t that his name was funny. Just it reminded of her of something. What she couldn’t remember but something that was slightly humorous. God, don’t look like a jerk to someone that is being nice to you, she thought as she pocketed the newly acquired bracelet. Since that was what she had picked up she had finally realized. With her hand in her pocket she found the small set of knives had had been given from her old group. “Yeah, which is why I am not holding my breath for that kind of job,” she sighed, “The closest I get is fixing very small mechanical things. Mostly jammed weapons.” She put her hand to her belly. “Well if you aren’t going to take me up on my offer I might grab a …,” she started but stopped when he asked her where she was staying. “I haven’t figured that part out yet,” she said with outstanding honesty. Perhaps the familiar feeling was a welcome one. But she had to be careful incase he turned out not to be so nice as he seemed. “I figure I have some money to rent a place… and its just Sage,” a giggle slipped while saying, “Unless you want me to call you Mr. Maverick….” She paused for a second the sound of that joke sounding awfully similar to a conversation she didn’t remember having in this life time.

She was finally relaxing. Her energy reflected this. and because of that the energy she had was getting more and more familiar. That giggle also brought back some of those feelings. "Mr Maverick... Well i cant say you are the first to call me that so i wouldnt mind" he told her. "By all means if you are hungry you should grab a bite to eat." he told her "I dont know how this will come out since we just met, Im currently doing Mercenary work and im ganna be staying at the camp. If you want i can see to it that i get you a room and a place to wash up after wards" he told her
