“Something new?” He tilted his head. ‘Something like us? I keep getting odd reactions when I see other people; maybe it’s… well damn if I know. It’s all Greek to me still. Who might know though? There must be someone who’s seen… “ He trailed off thoughtful and shook his head thinking. “Maybe if we told the senshi, maybe they’d know. Perhaps we should call a.” He hesitated and waved a hand around searching for the words. “A meeting. Do we do meetings? That one with Camelot went a bit off, maybe it’s too risky.”

“Thar must be someone in this city who has answers eh? Don’t worry about it.” He patted a hand to her shoulder and then fetched her a hot tea, nothing to sooth the nerves like a good peppermint tea, plus it’d help sooth her stomach if she’d eaten too fast.

He gave her a light nudge to the shoulder, companionable and reassuring. “We’re in this together, ages aside we’re both knights, to me that means a great deal. It represents a lot of something I’ve dreamed about for a long time. A… chivalrous world where evil can be fought and overcome instead of being this amorphous thing that infects every day and everyone.” He nodded. “So if you look at it that way, this is what people should do for each other, it’s what we did once upon a time after all, but people got scared and when they get scared it’s easy to turn to angry, after that it’s a short step to worse things.”

He said the words as carefully as he could to minimize that accent, though it never really went away. He just wanted to be sure that he was clear in what he said.
“We’ll figure out what’s going on, dun you fret that, I’ll keep my eyes peeled and you wait, we’ll find em and ye’ll be just fine.”

“…I din’a know we could go actually.” He said blinking thoughtfully. “I didn’t know we could ‘go’ anywhere. How did you…” He tilted his head unsure how to ask how she ‘got’ there. “So, tell me about it? Tell me how you ‘got’ there, what it look like? This was before the ah…” He waved a hand trying to indicate the missing days. God knew he of all people knew how real dreams could be. The thought alone made him unconsciously raise a hand to trace the fine scar that traced his features.

“Humm” He murmured thoughtful. “I had thought I heard…something, I just thought I was imagining.” He gave a small laugh. “Well, Annwn means the deep place among other things.” He looked thoughtful. It was also tied to ideas like Avalon, to death and rest and reward. It depended a great deal on where you looked for the information.
After all, the hounds of Annwn were sent to punish oath breakers.

How much of that was tied to fighting people like Painite, who felt fundamentally ‘wrong’? How much of earth mythology was tied to something real but quite different from what they imagined?

“I think perhaps not tonight fach, not tonight. Another day we’ll find where lies Anwnn, and I promise to take you with for what that’s worth. For tonight I think sleeping somewhere warm will do a world of good.” He shifted, helping her lay down on the thick couch, he’d slept on it often enough he didn’t feel bad for it, and found her a blanket and throws to tuck her in.

“The John is to the left, if you need the mirror put the towel back when yer done, I’d appreciate, I’ll leave a light for you alright? Sleep then, fair dreams.”
