Okay, how about this:
Modify existing ability:
Gout of Flame becomes Greek Fire: Fireside's gout of flame functions as before, but with the added effect of sticking to the target (or any surface struck) after making contact, continuing to burn for an additional two rounds unless they spend a full round to do nothing except scrape it off. The persisting burn burns at the same temperature as the color of the flame when it struck, and does not increase, however, further exposure to the gout will renew the effect at the new temperature. The range, cast time, and concentration requirements of this ability remain the same as before.

Does doing a direct upgrade for the whole body also branch off into mental aspects as well? I know the power gets spread out more that way, but was just wondering.

Can I PM my upgrade directly to you Vin? It's simple, so will probably not need much of anything.
Also, I appreciate the support Myth. :3 If I could tip your post, Sigil, about Wots cheesing it, I would. He's just scared cause he knows that he will inevitably lose.

@Wots: What are the nature of these shock waves? You say their shock waves, but they're "cutting" shock waves. So, what exactly does that mean since shock implies a burst of blunt force, and sharp means cutting.
@Sigil: This works. It's improved.
@Virtue: Well, to be honest, other than maybe slightly slightly faster reflexes, not really. That'll have to be more specific if you're looking for a mental upgrade of sorts.
@Red: You can do that. Just pm it to me.
Also, I won't start the round until all four of you are approved, so there will be a delay. I will have an announcement ready when everyone is done, and extend the days to compensate.

I was just thinking along the lines of minor resistance buff to mind attacks and stuff, it's not that big of a deal.
I'll just do the full body upgrade. MUSCLE MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILK

You know when you see a swordsman in an anime cut super fast and then like 100 feet away something is cut in half? That kind of shockwave, though I suppose it isn't really a shockwave but condensed blood being sent through the air. Like I said though, due to the sharpness and distance (3 feet) it's considered more of a blade extension.

Your character will be one class higher in his capabilities. Follow the normal weight rules used in UFC, for instance, as reference. But nothing too significant.

After cutting his hand with his kunai, Thoma slashed at the enemy. The attack would obviously miss being over two feet away from making contact but the length of the attack was misjudged as the the blood is sent flying from the blade, slicing deep into the opponent.

So, it's a single ranged cut that is meant to go further than the blade, much like a "spirit slash" that you see in many shonens?

Yeah, basically. A lot shorter ranged than most of them, but that's the principle behind it.

As long as it stays that way, it's accepted. That means only one slash per attack. In addition, once he uses blood, it's considered unusable. That means he has to draw more if he wants to do the attack again. If you manage to get some blood from cutting someone, that works, but you can't extract any blood from a person unless you have a weapon that scars into their body. That means no pulling blood from a person just because they have an open wound through mental means.

That's fine, as the whole blood manip powers weren't accepted. He still has that one power, but it would be hard to effectively put these two together ^.^

I know I am no lomnger in the tournament but this is a terrible idea. ninja
It is good in some aspects but eh, I would not be a fan of this if I was still around.
But I am not so my entire base of debating this is null in void.
O wells. ninja *Tackles Vintrict.*
