Remarque wanted so badly to roll his eyes. He didn’t necessarily know what was going on, and when things weren’t making sense, he got frustrated. A Senshi wanting to fight him, he understood. Someone affiliated with Chaos? Teaming up with a Senshi to fight against him?

God damn.

He might not understand their motives, but he understood at least one thing. If they wanted a fight, he’d give them a fight. Endymion might have had a sword, but Remarque came fully equipped with his own weapons.

His fists might not have been metal or bladed, but he was proficient with them.

He had the benefit of an attack well equipped to help him deal with two opponents at once.

“Oh, just taking a stroll,” he replied, glancing back to Tsui. “You’ll recall I asked you a similar question when I first approached you. There’s no one around to gather energy from, so obviously I wasn’t doing that. Perhaps I was just looking for conversation. What about you, Tsui?” he challenged, looking to the Tiger Senshi. “You look healthy. I’m pleased to see you haven’t gotten yourself killed. Yet. I thought I warned you that what you were doing was dangerous. Were you looking for blood, or did you just want to drop in and say hello, too?”
PostPosted: Sun Aug 12, 2012 7:04 pm

"If by 'drop in and say hi' you mean ' punch you in that handsome face of yours', then we can go with that," Tsui said, not at all intimidated by the rank increase he had experienced in the past few months nor the fact that she had no idea what the Senshi of Puppetry was capable of, magic-wise, though she knew she should have been. She had dusted a few youma before, enough to where she was confident in her own abilities, and after what Kallichore had told her of the Dark Mirror Court and everyone involved, there was no conflict ion within her, nor the confusion to weigh her down like last time. Oh, and of course the mysterious Prince Endymion, her ally, by her side.

Yes, to say that Tsui was feeling a little cocky was an understatement, but she was set on her path and there was nothing to be done to convince her otherwise (at least not with words). Without taking her golden eyes off of Remarque, she addressed Endymion, trying her best to sound respectful given his rank. "He's quick with his fists and has a lot of strength behind his punches, so he'll be dangerous at a close range. I hope your sword has a long enough range..."

She shouldn't have been 'tutoring' a Prince, Tsui thought, but she figured she'd try her best to prepare him for the fight ahead. Remarque may have let her go without too many scratches the last time, but that was likely because he had some hope of converting her. Now that he knew where her alliances were, she was sure that Remarque wouldn't show her much mercy this time. "Well, now or never. You take the left- I'll take the right."

And with that, she ran forward, her fists clenched but refraining from summoning her Tiger Fist Strike so soon. No, she went straight for Remarque with nothing but her fists and perhaps some bit of rage to accompany her. He was likely to dodge, but if Endymion was able to get a hit, then it would have been worth the effort...

Oh great. He was stuck in a fight against a senshi and another senshi and expected to slice one up? Yeah, right. Not gonna happen - at least not for now. The senshi however was all gung-ho for beating this other senshi to a pulp, and had decided that he really was on his side. Too trusting - which wasn't bad for what he was going for. However, things were delicate.

As he moved in, he looked at his sword and knew he would be far too tempted, and slowly moved in, watching the other senshi rush in. Well, if she wanted to rush in, he'd let her take the first hit. Then step in - maybe. He was playing this sticky situation by ear, and followed in alongside him and hoped sheer numbers would make the other senshi run away.

Remarque was one to test the odds. He had been since he was too young to understand the dangers of what he was doing, and he was still doing it now. Tsui and her fists of fury? Piece of cake. Creep in a cape wielding a sword? Not a problem.

The Prince—poor, confused b*****d that he was—wasn't really Remarque's concern. He wasn't the one trying to punch his teeth in.

He was the lucky one.

On some vague level, Remarque wanted to think that Endymion wasn't a problem. Wanted to think that he would mind his own business and butt out while he had the chance. Remarque might not have understood the situation, but he understood that chaos was not supposed to fight chaos.

That didn't stop him from keeping his eye on the male, though with Tsui charging, he couldn't really afford too many distractions. She was just a basic senshi—and made it very clear that their last run in had not been sufficient to warrant any interest on her behalf.

He dodged her punch—only because it was easy to predict and he had seen his fair share of punches. "You're still as wet behind the ears as the day you first thought to attack me," Remarque growled, very shortly before he retaliated with his attack and drove his fist towards her stomach with great force. He wanted to chase her off before he massacred her, but—hell—she deserved a little bruising for this run-in.

And all he'd wanted was a little friendly chatter. The nerve.

Tsui was expecting him to dodge, though the follow up came as a bit of a surprise to her. No, she expected him to retaliate and to retaliate fast, but she wasn't sure where he'd aim his punch. She wasn't a very tall or large person (in fact, she was rather short and small), but at this range, he could literally hit any part of her body, but Kallichore's lessons had paid off in some aspect in that she managed to dodge the blow, though at the cost of throwing off her balance. She felt herself falling forward and she fell into a tuck and roll to spare herself from the embarrassment of falling flat on her face.

The first time she had managed to launch herself into the wall. This time, she wasn't going to make anymore mistakes like that. This time she was going to aim her Tiger Fist Strike and hit him! She just needed the chance!

She had almost forgotten that she had a partner in this little dance, as she tried sweeping the leg to knock Remarque off balance. A cheap tactic, but Tsui had no qualms in fighting dirty. Sure she'd be missing out on an honorable victory, but honor was wasted on the likes of the Dark Mirror Court, and given how it was two against one, she was already breaking that rule, wasn't she?

The sword was a risk. Any jab could result in a cut, and he was in no way allowed to harm anyone on the Chaos side. As much as Beryl probably cared less about these pawns in her army, they were still HER pawns, and striking one down would result in a hell of a lot of trouble for him. It was messy, but it was also an opportunity to get another senshi on his side.

This was yet another performance.

Seething the sword, he moved in. Blunt force was best, and just bruising up the man a little for show would work better than putting him in any fatal or traumatic danger. The senshi on his side had missed her mark, rolled, and then kicked out. He wanted her move, but then as she took one side, he threw a punch at the Chaos Senshi's back, hoping it would floor him enough to get him to pin the boy and then leave.

Remarque did happen to think very highly of himself, though perhaps taking on two opponents at once was a little more than he could handle. Tsui's speed made her hard to keep up with, and Endymion was a sneaky little b*****d that he hadn't yet begun to comprehend.

It didn't help that he'd gotten used to easy, straightforward fights. Keeping your eyes on one opponent was easy enough, but on two? Even though Remarque was well braced when Tsui went to kick out his legs, he wasn't invincible. She knocked him so hard in the back of one leg that he was thrown off balance.

And then he felt the punch on his back.

Remarque was not used to being hit in the back, so it was understandably an odd sensation to him. By no means was it the weakest part of his body—and in many ways he probably should have been thankful for Endymion's well timed blow. When Remarque should have been toppling backwards from Tsui's sweep, the momentum from Endymion's blow gave him just enough to keep him upright.

But that didn't make him any happier to be hit.

…And if Endymion could hit him, that meant that he was fair game, too. Remarque wasted no effort in throwing a punch while he could; he didn't know if he'd be as lucky the next time either of these punks threw an attack his way, so if they were gonna play that way, he was going to give them something to make them regret picking a fight with him.

As many times that Sailor Tsui had gotten herself into fights, some with impossible odds stacked high against her, she never really seemed to learn her lesson as far as picking her fights well, not did she seem to understand that the time to boast one's feat, such as successfully leg sweeping an Eternal ranked Senshi, was after the fight was done, as no sooner did she open her mouth to throw an insult at the Dark Mirror Senshi did his fist collide with her jaw. She was strong and nimble, but nothing could really prepare her for accuracy of that blow, as well as the force behind it, as she went tumbling backwards and fell flat on her back.

A great achievement was turned into a pretty humiliating set back, and Tsui often prided herself in how quickly she could bounce back from any predicament. Now would be no different, as the moment she flopped on her back, she jumped back to her feet... and immediately regretted it.

"Oh, someone tell the world to stop for a moment!" Tsui spat, trying to regain her balance and resorting to dropping down to one knee to get her bearings straight. She didn't think that Remarque had punched her that hard, then again, she swore she could feel a tooth loose in the back, though that could have been her imagination. "Oh, you'll pay for that, Remarque... once I get my equilibrium back..."

She said that with a low growl, looking towards the fight and trying to stay focused on her enemy, despite the dizzy spell that tried to keep her grounded. There was no point in rushing in until everything stopped spinning, but Tsui hated to wait...

The hit made it's mark, but it didn't floor the boy. In addition, the senshi was punched and tossed aside, no good for the moment. Then again, she was a girl who didn't seem to have much magic or anything in the way of useful magic. Great. It was just him and senshi of obstacles here. Sailor Tsui at least took the damage for him, and that was one thing at least.

With Remarque punching Tsui, he had the opportunity to try again, and this time he went for punching between the shoulder blades. He just needed to have him floored, and then he could just leave this situation without having to go further. Killing was not even an option. Beryl would be down his throat if he went that far even if Endymion felt Remarque was worth keeping. Still, this was politics, and he had to play by the rules - for now.

With Tsui down, Remarque had thought the odds would be a little more in his favor. Unfortunately, that two-against-one mentality wasn't really doing him many favors and he took Endymion's hit—hard. While Remarque didn't like to think he had many tender points, too many hours slouching over and rifling through boxes in the past week had not done him any favors, and a burst of pain radiated from the Captain's blow. It wasn't enough to massively debilitate him, but it was enough to push him forward and with as off balance he'd been to begin with, the blow finally sent him towards the ground.

Theoretically, Remarque should have been able to catch himself with his hands, but if the ring had taught him anything, it was that you don't want to wind up on the ground, on your stomach—ever. Using his momentum, he offered a half-twist—just enough to have him land on his back.

His breathing was jostled for a few seconds after the landing, but at least he hadn't landed on his face or scratched up his hands in the landing. He'd take the bruising on his back, or the bumps on his elbows just to make sure that he was facing his opponents.

As long as he could see them, he wasn't helpless. He wasn't happy about being on the ground, but Jesus, they were ******** crazy. He'd take a few seconds to catch his breath and figure out just what the hell they were up to. And if they decided to keep pressing the matter? Well, hell. He still had a few tricks up his sleeves.

Tsui was down, but she wasn't out. She was determined to get back into the fray, despite being horribly outmatched by both of her opponents, and it was that stubborn nature that would continue to land her a possible victory, or, more likely, even more trouble. But the fear of defeat was far from her mind, as she shook back the dizzy spell and charged forward again, this time, more than ready to strike at Remarque's open back, until Endymion's strike had left the Dark Mirror Senshi on the ground.

Now she was stuck with a small impasse. Part of her wanted to slow down, give him the chance to get back to his feet and defend himself, as he had done for her in the past. Yet, another part of her, perhaps the quick-tempered and maybe vindictive side of her, told her that allowing the Eternal ranked the chance to get up was bad for the overall strategy.

'But I may never get this chance again... oh well, sometimes it's okay to jump into the gray area. Black and white is for pansies!' Tsui thought to herself, instead speeding up and trying to take advantage of Remarque's fall. She shouted a warning to her ally, not wanting to risk hitting him in the crossfire, as white aura formed in her wrists and traveled up her arms. "Endymion, make way for the tiger's claws!"

She suspected that Remarque would dance out of the way like he did before or that his fall was a clever ruse, but who was she to pass up a chance? 'If one wants the cub, she must go into the tiger's den.'

"Tiger Fist STRIKE!"*

-------------------------------------------

Sailor Scout Attack: Tiger Fist Strike.
Sailor Tsui focuses her energy onto her fists and envelopes them into the form of white energy that look like a pair of tiger claws, charging forward and striking at her enemy in close range in an X-like slash, moving her arms outward to inward to cross at the end of the blow. If the blow hits, it is not powerful but quick and is meant to knock the enemy back, not knocking them to the ground but throwing them into the path for another Senshi to attack if there is one nearby. Because it requires her to be within arm’s reach of her enemy (and she doesn’t have very long arms), this leaves an opening for the opponent or another to strike her.

*Can strike two times in a battle.
*Knocks back the enemy by 4 feet (no stun effect)

As the enemy senshi dropped, Endymion breathed out and regarded the boy on the floor. He could tell by the aura that this was not a normal senshi now and wasn't a weak one either. It would be a bad more to do anything to this senshi until he had more information, but he had already been told there were other fractions on the Negaverse side working with them. Numbers were key after all, and even Queen Beryl knew that an army needed weight.

Turning, he looked up to see Sailor Tsui race at him, sending magic up her arm and moving to the fallen senshi. He was rather alarmed she was going for a striking blow, but stepped in front of Remarque with his sword, seethed, out and set to block her.

"STOP!" He ordered.

Well, if that wasn't a nifty turn of events.

Remarque was not anticipating the blow that Tsui was about to deliver, though he'd dodged before—he could do it again. Probably. And—what, worst comes to worst—say she landed it. She wasn't half as powerful as him (especially by his own standards). Even with her little senshi boost, he hadn't figured she'd be able to strike him with a blow that actually did anything.

Too bad he wouldn’t be able to find out what would have happened.

That confused moron decided to interfere—not like Remarque needed him to, or anything.

With Tsui distracted and Endymion busy 'defending' him, Remarque took the opportunity to rise. He did so in a quick, fluid action, and while he probably should have planted a blow to the back of Endymion's head while he was distracted, he instead brushed himself off, watching Tsui with a particularly smug look.

He didn't know what the guy was up to, but at least he had a little extra time to figure that out.

Tsui was expecting Remarque to simply waltz out of the way in some flashy fashion, or perhaps he would take the blow and merely shrug it off given his rank and strength. But what she WASN'T expecting was Endyimion to intervene, and Tsui did everything she could to either stop her attack all together or divert it away from him. Not an easy task, given that once she was charging forward, she'd stick to that direction until she either hit something or she petered out. She tried to move, but she was bracing for impact none the less, even as she was able to swerve herself and her attack in a direction away from Endymion.

She went tumbling forward and rolling to a stop, her usual finesse when it came to sticking her landing gone. Dust and grass was thrown in the air, and though it took awhile, Tsui had managed to come to a halt, though at the cost of dirt under her fingernails and scraps all along her shins and knees. She gave a grunt, her attention completely diverted away from Remarque for the time being and looking to Endymion, trying not to sound TOO angry when she snapped. "W-what? Why? That was the perfect opportunity..."

One that she was certain she'd never get again, but she tried not to dwell on that too much. She hardly noticed the pain on her legs; it was easy to ignore such things when you were piping mad about other things. But she'd give him the chance to explain himself before she decided her next course of action...

He was bracing himself for a attack, but was relieved to see that the senshi had turned her swipe at the last second to them go tumbling beside them. Sidestepping to be beside them both, but keeping his eye at the dark senshi to make sure he didn't try and backstab him, he lowered his hands and rested one on his sword. "You had your fight and he fell. To then go and strike him down before he has a chance to get up is not honorable. What did you intend to do to him? Destroy him? Damage him beyond repair? That is not the type of conduct that my wife nor my daughter would want." His voice was firm as he regarded her like one regarded a child.

"You are both from Earth, and are of my planet. I won't have you killing someone as you are driven by hate and bloodlust. As Prince of this planet, I won't have it. Not without a chance for redemption or just cause." He looked back to Remaque. "He is a knight of this planet just as you are a senshi to yours." He looked back at the Tiger senshi. "I am disappointed my daughter has not taught you better." He sighed. "..but she is only a child."

"Go now. You have fought, battled, and that is enough for today. If you feel one life will win a battle, then you are no better or worse than the other."
