She ready herself, legs ready to jump, sharp teeth, ready to sink in, it was all very exciting, she could hardly wait any longer. She spotted a slower youngin, and stalked a bit closer, waiting for the correct moment, when the preys back was turned.

Once he felt he was close enough, he picked out and watched his prey. He hoped that they hadn't sighted the same one so it wouldn't lead to a disaster. He crouched down and waited. He took a deep breath and launched himself at one of the younger members of the herd.

Now was the moment. She launched herself from her position and bit her prey hard. The rest of the herd galloped away, leaving it easy for them to finish their prey off. She kept a hold of her prey until it stopped squirming and making noise. she lied down while they youngin flopped its lifeless body onn the ground in front of her.

Once Ciaran pounced and had the youngling he had found on the ground, he ended up wrestling with it for a bit. Right before he delivered the killing blow, the youngling managed to get a decent kick in against his stomach. The lion roared and fought until his prey finally stilled under him. Once he was sure that it wouldn't be getting back up, he pulled back and looked over to Nyota to see if she had been successful as well.
"Did you get one?"

She nodded
"i did, and it didnt put up much of a fight as i expected, either that, or i just dont know my own hunting skills?"
she wasnt trying to brag, as she clearly only hunted smaller prey half the time. But she always ran to her favorite hunting spots, and that gave her good muscles in her legs. If she joined a pride, she would go for the rank of huntress. She always hunted, it was her life.
She started to eat her prey as she bit a chunk of tender young meat off it.

"Great," Ciaran replied as he bit into his kill. He tore a chunk off and chewed it, making sure to swallow before speaking again. "It's great when they don't fight back too much." he added before returning to the carcass in front of him.
Though a fight made the kill a bit more worth it, it was nice to come back from a hunting trip without being kicked or nearly trampled by the other members of a herd. He hated trying to do his job in the Sikukku while he was injured because of a meal.
Once he had his fill, he pulled back and proceeded to clean himself up. When he was sure he had gotten rid of the blood, it was hard to tell though with his coat, he nodded to the lioness.
"Thank you for hunting with me."

She had her fill by now, and mostly all of the meat was gone, she hadnt realized how hungry she had gotten.
"your welcome, glad you tagged along."
She smiled and slowly started to lick her paws and picked a few rib bones to bring back 'home'. they still had some meat on them, prefect for a midnight or early morning snack.
"so, would you like to walk back to my den before we part ways?"
she thought she may as well try to spend a bit more time with him, seeing as she liked meeting new creatures, and never really wanted to say goodbye.

Ciaran stood up and stretched. He should get back on his way to his pride but it probably wouldn't hurt to walk the lioness back to her den. He could walk her back before he headed home since he had walked past it on the way out to where they had found their meals.
"Sure, I could do that," he replied, "Do you want to lead the way?" he was sure he could find it again but he wanted to make sure he dropped her off at the right den.

"sure, i dont mind"
she smiled at him and ran ahead a little then stopping to wait for him, signaling this was the way they wanted to go. It was getting to her favorite time of the evening, where the sun was just thinking about going down into a beautiful savanna sunset.

Ciaran nodded to Nyota and followed after her in the direction of her den as the sun slowly continued to set.
