So Wash had many siblings. Otto wondered what it must have been like to have siblings. Once or twice a year he'd meet with his cousins, but their ages were much older than his. He didn't think it would be the same as living with a sibling all their life. Maybe it was annoying. Siblings had to share things, right?
Somehow it didn't surprise Otto that Wash was a big brother. That just seemed to suit him. The man had an aura about him.
"No. I didn't have any." Otto mumbled, a sheepish expression briefly flickered over his face. He didn't seem to have any stories to share like Wash did, no experiences worth giving in turn. Most of the trainees and hunters were all older. They all had lives so different than his. The more he introspected, the more he realized how sheltered and limited a life he had led.
Then again, Otto didn't much care for talking and sharing usually, anyway. It was an activity that made him anxious. Listening to other people was okay, in moderation. Or one on one, like he was with Wash. And so far he liked Wash. He seemed sane and together; a decent guy. That was a rare thing on the island.
Maybe Wash would just keep chatting despite Otto's quiet nature.

"Really?" Huh. He hadn't known many people growing up who were only children, but he supposed it had become more common by and by.
"Where you from, anyway?" Wash crossed his legs, leaning back comfortably.

"Louisiana." Otto answered, staring at Wash with a thoughtful, lidded gaze. His accent had been familiar, so he was expecting he too was from the South. He knew a few people on the island who seemed to retain a sort of drawl and twang. It was something familiar amongst all of the stark atmosphere Deus tended to give off.
"Yourself?"
