“Well, it can’t yet, certainly,” she hedged. Running away wasn’t her thing at all, truth be told, but it was nice to have a place to go to. “With the way you talk,” she said with a sardonic smirk, “I was half expecting you to suggest going and joining the Negaverse, though I can see why you might want someone to...keep an eye out for you.” She shook her head before continuing. “I’m not really in the habit of blithely joining things without knowing what it’s about—though I suppose I did that with this Senshi business, so my track record isn’t flawless. What’s your vendetta against the DMC, anyway? I’ve spoken with…one of them, and he, at least, seemed reasonable enough.”

His face dropped, and there was a gleam to his green eye that was sharp and deep. ."They tortured and murdered my friends. They made a monster of the other. They ******** with me." He said, staring dead center into her eyes. "They have no pride and no honor."

"Well, s**t," was about all Hypatia could manage to say in response to that for a few moments. "What about the...newer, younger ones?" she ventured. "I mean, I can understand wanting revenge for...something like that, but to just kill everybody? Isn't that a bit, uh, much?" "And, wouldn't that be...making yourself into a monster?"

"The only thing that makes you a monster or a war hero is on what side wins in the end. People kill each other in a war. You get sent out and neutralize threats to keep the peace at home for the sake of your family and friends sleeping soundly at night. The senshi. The Knights. The Negaverse. The DMCers. They all are killing and fighting so they can win, and they are praised for their duty in the war by eliminating the enemy. Whoever kills you would be praised for eliminating a threat and your friends and family would call them monsters."
He said in a very simple explanation.
"The newer recruits are being taught by their seniors the same values and beliefs. They are just as capable of growing more powerful, powering up to another rank, and killing many more people. Sympathy would only bring about more deaths." He said, not that he wanted to tell her that he also greatly enjoyed the idea of wiping out the entire DMC and basking in the pride of their destruction.
"But you can call me a monster. I don't care. It's not the point of painting myself as a hero that matters to me. I'm just here to kill off something that should have never existed here in the first place."
He watched her. "At least I'm wearing my uniform and on patrol for a reason."

“Easy there,” she said, holding a hand out at about waist height briefly, “I didn’t figure you one to be offended by being called a monster.” A wry grin crossed her face as she said that. “Maybe you aren’t so jaded.” She sighed. “Look. This…war. It’s still...well, not very clear to me. I’m completely certain more than a few people deserve killing. But not all of them. The Dark senshis, the negaverse…they can’t all be evil lunatics that need to die…just like not all the senshis are good people who should be saved.” A shrug, then. “Either way, I’m not likely to be good at taking people down. My senshi powers are healing. I can fix you up if you get sliced up,” she paused, and eyed him a moment, “Though, don’t think I could replace missing parts.”

He watched her and then let his head drop to one side in thought, looking out quietly before looking back at her. "The negaverse has good people. I used to be one. They don't all deserve to be killed. They just know the value of sticking together. Being loyal. They're great because they work together. This side isn't." He admitted, and went quiet again, looking out across the night of Destiny City.
"And mention my eye again and I'll punch you."

Hypatia smirked ever so slightly at his eye sensitivity, but wisely chose to not remark further. "Yes, so...I hope you can understand why I, a confused, doe-eyed little baby senshi," perhaps she was laying that on a bit thick...but oh well. "am still a bit leery about killing people out of hand, without having any real idea who they are." She sighed. "That said, if you need my help after one of your...hunts, or whatever you want to call it, I'll do my best to fix you up if you ask me to...or I see it."

“Honestly,” Hypatia replied with a small frown, “Not a whole lot…yet. I mean, I haven’t tested it on anything big yet—I can’t exactly walk into a hospital and declare ‘LET ME HEAL YOU,’ and expect that to work.” She shrugged. “I’ve been able to fix any cuts, scrapes, and bruises I’ve gotten since getting the power, so I can definitely do that.” “I have the feeling that I could probably do better on my world, although that’s not terribly useful most of the time, either. So, I’d say, if you come to me, don’t expect any miracles. Might just be pushing back the pain and death a little ways so you can go visit a proper doctor.” “As for how to find me…” she paused, and moved her hand so a smartphone appeared in it. “As I understand it, knights don’t get their own…er…magic smartphones? But maybe there’s still a way to use this. Something about text messages, I think somebody mentioned.”

"Knights have rings. We don't have cell phones. You can try calling me. I don't know how it works. I have never chatted with senshi." He wasn't sure if it woukd work or not.
He showed his ring. "I don't have any paper on me to send you a note right now." The rings were a bit flawed with that small need.

"Paper?" she asked, considering. "Ah, I don't have any either, sorry. But your ring there," she gestured at it vaguely, "can send me a note? That works, then." She held up her phone, poked it a couple times, then pointed it at Gev. "I add Senshi contacts like this...let's see if it works for you, too..." Click. A small frown, then a shrug. "I'll give that a strong 'maybe.'"

He stared st her phone and then at his ring. Looking up he coukd only shrug. "Who knows. I don't really talk to senshi." He admitted.
He guessed it wasn't the end of the world if it didn't work.

She shrugged as well. "Yes, well. It's not as if I'm going anywhere any time soon, although finding me for fixing sound wounds may be tough. Do try not to get stabbed too much without help, will ya? Enough people die as it is."

"If it doesn't work I know doctors who can see me without documentation and I'll just ask another knight about these rings."
He wasn't sure how communication worked between groups. "I make no promises on not getting hurt. It happens enough times when I fight. It goes hand in hand. It's just cheaper to have magic heal you."

“Oh,” Hypatia said lightly, with a small, dismissive wave, “Of course you’re gonna get hurt. Comes with the territory. It’s when you find all your blood outside your body that there’s a problem.” She shook her head, then. “No, I’m sure you’ll be fine. Just offering a way around healthcare costs for the occasional problem. If we meet again.” She glanced around. “I’m sure we will, after all. It’s not that big a city…”
