An announcer girl popped out of nowhere with a microphone. Teleporter Sam decided.
"Now! We're going to start with a fight between Ty and Aku!" The girl called into the microphone. "Could the two fighters advance into the ring and prepare to fight!"

Aku stepped back into a defensive position and placed a hand on the hilt of his sword. "Ready yourself!"
The bell rang...
Aku was gone.

"oh boy... i guess the tough guy in the first match...." he said as he closed his eyes in an attempt to sense Aku's whereabouts before he could do any damage.

"Right here." Aku said with a slight laugh from behind. He pushed on the guard of his katana, making a small click sound as the tanka cleared the edge of the scabbard, sending the butt of the sword straight into Ty's back.

Ty stumbled forward after the hit and dropped down as he kicked behind him to trip his opponent for an opening for attack.

((sorry about that. I guess you don't know the anatomy of a katana sweatdrop Not many people do. The Tanka is a small metal band just under the hand guard that keeps the blade attached. If you watch a samurai draw his blade... thats what Aku just did. They hold the scabbard and push the guard with their thumb so that the blade is released from the sheath, then they pull it out.))
Aku let out a short cry of surprise and tried to dodge last second, but the foot came too fast and caught him in the hip, causing his center of balance to be thrown off.

(( not that, you accidentally typed "Yu" istead of "Ty" so i immediatly thought you were talking about stargate yu XD, it just had me confused for a second, but i didn't know that little tidbit about katanas so, it's all good 3nodding ))
Seizing the opportunity Ty spun around while still on the ground and brought his arm to meet with Aku's side.
