Lewis smiled to everyone and took a sip from the cup."Thank you," came his deep voice as he spoke. Rowan giggled as he felt the male's voice in his back. Cade's eyes narrowed down over Rowan who gave a shy giggle. "It's not what you think, Cade. I'm just having a good time." Cade nodded. "Remember Rosemary..." Rowan's face kinda fell with Cade's comment. Asmeral smacked Cade's hand. "Don't ruin the girl's fun!" Cade rolled his eyes but it was Lewis who spoke up. "Don't worry, I'll be kind to Rose and there's nothing she can tell me that I haven't seen or heard before at this point. I'm from the Western Isles.

Rowan gasped. "Really? I mean you don't even look it!" Lewis shrugged. "i got off easy as a kid, the right areas at the right time and left the moment I could escape. Now I'm here mixing drinks for the rich and getting tips for my accent and shy smiles." Rowan giggled and tapped her fingertips over his hands. "Isn't he just a doll?" Asmeral lifted her glass to him. "A keeper a'right! I say stick him in your pocket while you have the chance!"

Leo watched them interact and smiled to himself. "i agree, Rose." he bowed his head to Rose and Lewis, "you two are cute if you forgive me for saying so." he looked at Asmeral and Cade and then Rowan and Lewis and dropped his eyes. he was the odd man out, but that was ok with him he would rather be alone than the toy of some rich master who was showing him off.

Asmeral placed a soft kiss on Cade's cheek. "Remember the parties there? Wild!" Cade smiled. "I don't think we so much as danced as more as we made love with clothes at that point. How dances change from area to area." Asmeral chuckled. "At least I didn't have to worry with getting pregnant." Rowan's eyes widened, that subject always made Cade grumpy. To her surprise, Cade laughed. "Yes, but that was just me! With the way your hips swished when you walked, I'm surprised you didn't even up carrying children just from having them watch you." Asmeral playfully slapped his arm ."You know I'm better than that. They have to pay extra for that bit." The two gave roars of laughter.

Lewis smiled shyly and cuddled his face into Rowan's back. "Are you going home tonight?" Rowan looked over to Leo's slightly sad face and smiled. "Yes, I have to keep my friend company until her knight comes to get her." Lewis nodded again. "Will I see you again after tonight?" Rowan tapped his fingers to Lewis's arm. "Depends on if you want to see me again." Lewis rolled his eyes. "And why wouldn't I?" Rowan smiled, eyes not looking at anything. "Oh, I have a few secrets you might not like. I don't want you to feel bad for running away or to get yourself involved in something you don't wanna handle." Lewis rolled his eyes and wrapped his arms around Rowan's tiny waist again. "I doubt I'd be shocked or horrified."

Rowan shifted his waist on Lewis's lap and Lewis's eyes widened. Rowan shifted back and sighed. "See?" Lewis smiled into Rowan's side and gave his stomach a slight tickle. "That doesn't change anything at all. That might make everything easier."

Leo smiled when he saw Lewis' easy acceptance. he was a little curious about the easier part, but he gently took Rowan's hand and leaned up to whisper into his ear. "you can go if you want, i will be fine." he pulled away and smiled with a nod to the other. he didn't want Rowan to have to miss out because of him.

Cade lifted an eyebrow to the male. "What makes it easier?" Lewis's withered beneath Cade's intense eyes. 'N-N-Nothing! I didn't mean it in that context, sir! I swear! I just meant it would make it easier to be with Rose seeing as I prefer Bentains over others." Rose's eyes widened. "What?!" Rose almost lept from the male's lap. Lewis turned to him and stared at her. "What's wrong?! Did I say the wrong thing?" Rowan's hand went to his hips and he nodded. "Very wrong!" Lewis face-palmed himself and sighed. "Let me explain. I like boys and I like girls but boys are too gruff and girls to soft for me. A Bentain is the perfect mix in the middle for me." Rowan's face turned and angry shade of red and Lewis began to sink into the seat.

Asmeral tapped her nails on her glass, drawing attention to herself. "Let the boy explain before you slay him like a dragon Rose. He is from the Western Isles, things are different out there. What might be abstract or weird here maybe the normal where he's from. So Lewis, further explain yourself, i think I bought you two minutes or so." Lewis nodded deeply to Asmeral then turned back to Rowan. "Rose, please, all I was saying is that Bentians are the most beautiful and sweet creatures. Where I'm from, they're all so dolled up and led around by chains, but here they're free. Its so amazing. Back home it was normal for freed Bentians to conjugate with everyone else and I began to see them as normal people, not as rarities. The Bentian population in the Westens is almost like a whole culture on its on! I've been with boys and I've been with girls, but the Bentians were always the best. I just....I forget where I am and how different things are here...I didn't mean to offend...I swear."

Leo was bracing for a fight but when Asmeral drew attention to herself he was greatful. he listened to Lewis' explination and felt a little whistful. to go to a place like that, even the owned beantian's treatment seemed a little better than that which he was used to. he smiled a little at Lewis and then looked at Rowan, "dearest, i really don't think he ment anything wrong by it. he is simply saying that you are the perfect person for him. neither weak nor overbearing. you are perfect."

Rowan's face cooled down and the anger seeped away. "So you're not some creeper?" Lewis shook his head. "I don't think I have enough weird traits to fall into creeper category." Rowan pouted. "And your not a Trader?" Lewis stuck his tongue out. "I'd be insulted if I didn't know how things worked here. Traders disgusting themselves as normal people to collect the innocent. Disgusting. I'd never do that. I just wanted to make sure you knew you were beautiful. I've never seen someone with red hair of that shade with ringlets so tight yet have your body be flawless. In the Westerns, the Bentians are either altered to make prettier, held hostage for being natural, or are broken." Rose's face twisted up with horror. "B-B-Broken?"

Lewis nodded. "Common place to find a freed Bentian who was beaten or abused until they were broken. Limps mangled beyond repair, bodies covered in scars unhealable, or even some just brutalized to the point where they don't respond at all. I met one who just sat in a chair all day and stared at the sky. She was so pretty on the left side of her face, but the right side was nothing but a long scar were someone had cut her from chin to forehead. She smiled so softly then turned away. The Bentains here have it lucky, there at laws against such horrors here. Back home, Bentains were beaten and raped in the streets." Lewis rolled up his sleeve to show off his left arm were there was a long red scar across bicep but also a black band tattoed to his skin. The band hand barbed wire and roses hanging from it. "Got this in honor of the little Bentian I tried to save after I caught some guys brutalizing her in the street. She didn't survive the night, but I got this done in her honor and hopped the next boat from the Isles."

Rowan started at Lewis in a mix of horror and admiration. Asmeral looked to Cade who looked to Asmeral and they nodded. "He speaks truth, th Westerns are a vicious place." Asmeral reached over and touched Lewis's arm. "You're a brave man to take thugs like that in a fight." Rowan touched the scar then the tattoo then the scar. "And I complain about my life here." Lewis took Rowan's hand and smiled. "We all fight our own battles in our own ways.

Leo felt himself paling as Lewis spoke, and he nodded. "Bentians originated in my country. though their-use is not as public as it seems it was in the Western Isles, but there were many times when a bentian was used beyind her mental endurance. then she was either sold to men who prefered their woman to be irresponcove or didn't care, or they were put down." his hands were in his lap and he was glad because they were trembling. "the same was done to a bentian who had visable scaring. she would be sold to the most brutal of masters who would only add to the scars already there." he smiled weakly, "i was lucky, no matter how deep or bad the wound i never scared." in all truth there wasn't an inch of his body that shouldn't have been marked with evidence of his brutal past, but no mater what his masters did to him it would heal and in less than a third of the time that a normal human would. it had been one of the reasons he had been in such high demand

Rowan looked down. "Had I been born in the Westerns...I'd be dead." Lewis's eyes widened as well as Cade's and Asmeral. "What are you talking about, Rose! You have no scars," uttered a stunned Cade. Rowan shook his head. "The soles of my feet are covered in scars. How else to you punish someone and not let it be known? Whip their feet until they bleed and make them walk in heels. These shoes I'm wearing now? I don't feel anything. There is not feeling in my feet." Lewis took Rowan's hand and patted it. "But those are minor scars." Rowan shook his head. He reached up and began to rub at his throat.

Asmeral gasped, her hands going to her face to hide the terror. Rowan rubbed away a layer of make-up at his throat and exposed layers of thin lines that were scars at his throat. "These would've gotten me killed had they not healed up the way they did. When I first had them, I'd have been shipped off." Cade looked at the wounds with shock. "How..." Rowan gently touched his throat. "Punishment. Wrapped wires around my neck and used it as a leash to pull me back onto them when they were torturing me. I'd wiggle my body free and they'd drag me back on. Then I tried to hang myself with the same wires, but they caught me and whipped me with them. They cut me so many times...but the wounds weren't deep enough so they never scared."

Lewis's hand balled into a fist. "And they said this place was better." Rowan smiled sadly. "I'm not dead am I? The man was executed for brutality beyond what the laws allowed."

Leo reached over and slipped his hand into Rowan's, giving it a gentle squeeze. "i am sorry" he said softly, meaning it fully. he leaned closer and once more whispered to the other. "if you wish it, i can take those scars from you. when we are alone tonight, i can cleanse your body so it is as pure as your heart." he pulled away and smiled, "Think about it."

Rowan smiled and squeezed the male's hand back. Rowan took Lewis's hand and smiled. "I want to be something you can court, but I was sought after by a Duke from the Isles." Lewis smiled and shook his head. "I'll still seek you out. Until he comes to claim you, I will seek you out like a real man should." Rowan bit his lip and shook his head. "But i don't want to remain in this shell they've forced me into. i want to try and become a...a..." Lewis placed his finger to Rowan's lips. "I understand. We'll deal with that in time." Rowan's eyes watered. "We'll?" Lewis smiled again. "Yup, we'll as in we will, as in you and I together." Rowan smiled and couldn't stop.

Cade lifted his glass and smiled. "To the new cute couple, Rose and Lewis!"

Leo smiled widely and lifted his drink to them. "i am happy for you my friend" he said and nodded to Lewis, "and for you too." but if you hurt him i'll make you wish you'd never been born his eyes said around his smile. he may be bentian, and he may be vertually powerless, but he knew a certain prince who would do anything Leo wanted him to. Leo was a little surpised by that thought and it made him think of Lucian. his eyes drifted off , looking towards the castle without conciously knowing where it lie. he just felt a pull in that direction and knew Lucian was there.

Lewis saw the fire in Leo's eyes and nodded. He knew what the look meant and took it to heart. Rowan sank back into Lewis's lap and smiled. Asmeral smiled and poured more of the champagne into the upheld glasses."Why don't we all go home now? We'll all be wasted soon if we keep drinking like this." Cade smiled and shook his head. "You and I are the only ones who are supposed to be drinking. Shall we escort the kiddies home and then come back for a few more?" Lewis gave a soft cough. "If I may, would you allow me to take them home? I'm off until midnight and I'd be happy to discount all your drinks." Rowan smiled. "I think I've found me a good one."

Lucian looked up suddenly, his messing hair falling around his head and pillow. After hours of restless pacing, Lucian had fallen asleep. He felt a warm rush of pleasure creep up his spine and he knew his Lily was safe. He sighed and laid his head back onto the pillow and drifted back off to sleep, his mind now wrapped in delicate dreams.

Leo closed his eyes as he felt something warm in the pit of his stomach. "lulu" he whispered softly before blinking his eyes open and looking at the others. "huh?" he said in a extreamly unrefined way, which made him blush and clear his throat. "yes, um, i agree we should be heading back." he smiled weakly and stood up to bow low. "thank you for this Cade-sama. i enjoyed myself."

Cade smiled and took Asmeral's hand. "Then be good kids. As long as your happy Lily. I'll see you guys up nice and early for work tomorrow. We've got training to for you Lily."

Lewis took Rowan's hand who took Leo's and they headed back out onto the street. Rowan cuddled his body against Lewis's and smiled.
