[[tsukasa, I did interact with your character. It was my last post actually. Not to worry. This situation will be resolved soon enough, Im sure.]]
"Outai, I think we should head over to the infirmary. One of the other mercs might be there," He suggested to Outai with a small nod. They went past the library on the way to the infirmary. He hoped someone would be there. He really wasn't prepared to answer the possible questions that would come up. He didn't want to give answers that weren't accurate, or could be slightly inaccurate.

Outai followed Shadow to the infirmary, which was about as large as she had imagined, given how large the library - hell, even the whole company - seemed to be. With as many mercenaries that worked here, they would need one very large infirmary for all those who returned injured, and possibly ill with some sort of micro-organism they picked up at various places.

Archives, MMHQ Riku sat at the Archives computer, watching several screens at once. His elbow rested on the armrest, and his head was propped up on his hand. In some way, he felt like Batman, watching over Gotham City from the Batcave. Of course, Batman wasn't an assassin from another world trying to bring down a huge corporation and destroy a demon at the same time. He turned his attention to three monitors. On one, MM soldiers were engaged in battle with Kavinsky's forces in South America, as they advanced on one of his hidden labs. The soldiers had been equipped with plasma weapons stolen from Kavinsky's labs, and the screen lit up as flashes of superheated gas flew both ways. On another screen, Urkhal was shown. The city itself seemed normal, but that wasn't what Riku was watching. In the distance, almost in the mountains, what looked like a large construction site had been erected; Kavinsky was building yet another base, this time in a bronze-age world which couldn't defend itself against his superior forces. The screen zoomed in, and Riku saw who was leading the construction- Tatiyana Putin, or "Blitz", as she was known. She had apparently recovered from the injuries she sustained in the assault on MMHQ. It figured that Kavinsky would only trust one of his own Uroboros to head up construction of another base. Finally, he looked over the third screen, which showed Riku's homeworld; Valhalla. As the camera panned over, what looked like demons rushed towards a group of humans, who fired magical blasts back at them. As the demons reach their lines, swords were drawn, and the screen turned into a frenzy of swords, limbs and blood. The worst part wasn't that the demons were winning, it was that they were DEVOURING his people. Unable to watch more, he turned off the monitors, then got up. He was heading to Urkhal, to stop the construction.

[[I appologise for all the 'running' around. Maybe we should just go to one place and wait there for further instruction.]]
"He doesn't seem to be here any more. I don't know where he disappeared to, but apperantly he is busy. I don't think you will mind it if we wait in the library for someone to direct us."
They turned back and went to the library to wait. He figured Outai would go and read some more, which would keep her preocupied hopefully long enough for someone to direct them.

"You're right about that. At least we won't be bored while waiting, not with all those books just waiting to be read." Once they were back in the library, Outai wasted no time in finding more books to read. So much to read....and yet, she always had time to read, even if it meant putting the books on hold for a while. It was a good pass time for someone like her, cursed for eternity it seemed.

((OOC:There. edited the post a bit. now it makes a bit of sense. But I'm sorry, I'd edited the post last night. Gaia must have glitched again. Oh well. I'll meet up with you in the library, then..))
As Martin continued to look around in the library, he noticed the two people in the room. He gripped his suitcase handle tighter, and checked on the fox in his hood, making sure he was ready.
"Um.. Hello. I'm sorry, but... I think I'm lost. I'm a new recruit. My name's Martin Brevaly." H said as he put the briefcase down. Turning to Shadow, he commented, " Ah... Were you in the lobby earlier, or was I hallucinating? I don't remember much... I must've still been a little light-headed from sleeping. I'd only just woke up. not really a morning person. "

With a bow, "Hello young man. I was in the lobby for a few minutes. Its ok, don't worry about it. I think I understand."
Shadow adjusted his location. He was on alert, something felt strange to him. He didn't think anyone noticed it. It could have just been him. He wasn't being paranoid. He didn't have a reason to be. But he felt as though he was being watched.
[[This situation will be updated later. I was bored, and decided to set up a personal 'event'.]]

LOCATION: Urkhal, outskirts OBJECTIVE: destroy Kavinsky construction site Riku crept towards the facility, darkness covering his approach. His trip through Urkhal had been most unusual- none of Kavinsky's soldiers were in the city. Maybe they didn't think there was anything worth going there for? It didn't matter, though. Riku was carrying a bomb stolen from Kavinsky. It was known simply as an implosion bomb, and did exactly what it's name implied- it would implode, and suck everything in it's range in with it. Just powerful enough to destroy the construction site. He arrived on a cliff above the site, and his natural eagle's eye ability kicked in. Down below, several soldiers were on patrol, carrying AK-107 rifles, and an impromptu sniper tower sat nearby. Two MG nests were on the ground, both armed with .50 cal. MGs. And of course, Blitz was down there. His eyes adjusted back to normal vision, and he cloaked and jumped from the cliff. A guard heard his muffled landing, and turned to see. However, Riku, who's cloaking magic bended the light around him, was invisible- the guard couldn't see him, and turned away. This gave Riku the chance he needed- a small throwing dagger appeared in his hand, and he threw it straight into the guard's medulla oblongata. The guard dropped, and Riku dragged him behind a nearby crate. He carefully crept along, assassinating any guards he found and hiding their bodies. He made his way to the center- this was where the reactor would eventually be placed-, and looked down, seeing both Blitz- and the clones of him, standing silently behind her. She was barking orders in Russian. "Hurry up, you stupid fools! The faster we get this base built, the sooner I can get out of this dreaded heat!" Riku decloaked, drew his blades, and then, in a scene almost out of Star Wars, dropped down into the pit below, and smiled. "Why, hello there." Almost simulatneously, all the workers, the clones, and Blitz turned to face him. She was pissed off. "Vat? How DARE you come to zis place and interrupt our vork! GUARDS!" "Your guards are dead," Riku said calmly, still smiling. "As you will be soon." "You mock me? One of ze mighty Urroborros?!" Riku smirked at her thick Russian accent; it almost sounded French. She waved to the clones, then pointed at him. "KILL HIM!" Four clones drew Chaos-infused swords and charged. Riku easily dodged the first attack, and landed a killing blow on the second. The three clones remaining regrouped and charged at him again. But he had a new trick up his sleeve- literally. He pulled back his sleeve, revealing an armband with the Emperium crystal in the center. All at once, the blades stopped glowing with Chaos, and the clones looked confused. This gave Riku the chance he needed. He moved in, and using his speed, delivered three killing blows. The clones fell dead. Blitz was now beyond furious. "So, ve have to play zat vay, do ve? Well, I shall enjoy killing you, Assassin!" She pulled a dagger from her belt, and slit her wrists. Blood poured down her arms, and she smiled as the blood crackled with electricity.

((OOC: Sorry for shirking duty for so long. I was busy applying to college. I'll "cleverly" cover up the lost time.))
Larry spent the next couple of days after the game with his sisters, just catching up on things. It didn't matter that he was not getting paid to talk to his sisters, in fact, it was probably most important that he got away from money for a day or two.
For the next two days the three of them made their way about the city, seeing all there was to see. The Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, the former site of the World Trade Center. It was a good day, especially for Larry because his sisters had ceased to spite him with their dressing and now dressed like a normal set of twins.
The last leg of their outing led the three of them on a train trip on the Rock Island Railroad from Long Island to Manhattan. It had been a long day of walking and laughing and the three of them were tired. They all sat in the back, huddled together like siblings in the back seat of a car. At least one of them was clearly sleeping, because Larry could hear Marissa snoring softly.
Larry sat with his sisters and laid back, minding his own and listening to Clarissa's iPod. He was just beginning to get a bit sleepy himself when something caught his attention.
In the middle of the crowd on the car, there stood a group of girls. They were too obstructed for Larry to tell if they were college or high school age. But if anything gave their age group away, it was the fact that they were all somehow listening to the same song on their iPod and singing at the top of their lungs "I KISSED A GIRL AND I LIKED IIIIIT!!!".
Larry rolled his eyes and turned up his music a little bit, hoping they would stop eventually but they didn't. In fact, for a while the girls were getting quite an amount of applause from the crowd. The crowd calmed down after a few seconds, but the girls did not.
Larry was not a fan of Katy Perry, so he started to turn up his volume some more until he heard someone else speak up.
"'Ey why don' chu SHUT UP!??" a gravelly voice near Larry yelled. Just a few feet from him stood a couple of construction workers going to an afternoon-night shift. This provoked an immediate smattering of applause in favor of the workers and a reaction from the girls. "YOU shut up!" one of them yelled.
At this point, Larry had turned off his iPod and sat up to watch just as people began to take sides. To him, watching people make a scene on public transportation was better than trying to listen to Eric Clapton any day.
"You shut up!!" one of the girls, a redhead, cried out "AH shut up ya WHORE!" the second worker yelled "Hey ******** you!" "OH! OHHHHH!! Nice mouth ya WHORE! Way to prove my point ya WHORE!"
The insult match continued all the way to the station where a female NYPD blue entered the car and stepped in between them.
"What's goin' on in here!?" the officer demanded "HE called me a whore!" "SHE'S a whore!" "Hey, I don't know who called what who! Alright? But y'all gonna respect me up in here! Okay?"
The officer escorted both parties to her "office", the corner near the phones, and had a little talk with them. Larry wound down his laughing and suddenly remembered his sisters. Amazingly, both of them sat sound asleep against him. He gave Marissa a kiss on her head.
"Mmm." she mumbled, eyes still closed "Larry, we almost there?" "Yes, just keep on sleepin'." he responded "Hey Larry?" "What?" Marissa paused for a second. "Ya think the redhead kisses girls with that dirty mouth of hers?" Larry chuckled and put his arm around her.
Soon they reached their destination and parted ways. Larry was back in the MMHQ and itching to get another assignment.
"Hello?!" he called "Anybody around?"

Was that Outai, speaking to me without opening her mouth? Interesting. She has telepathic abilities. Cool, looks like I might have someone to talk with every now and then mentally. Its been a long time. "It seems to be nothing for now. I don't think there is any need to worry."
Talking to her on a 'telepathic' level was something he was trained to do through meditation. The only reason it was so easy for him to reply to her was that he was capable of very high levels of meditation, making lower levels of meditation easy, mundane things for him. He could do most lower level meditation skills with little effort and while doing everyday tasks, taking minimal focus. It seemed to him that Outai's case was more of an ability that she might have been born with. Something she can do naturally.
He turned to Outai and spoke to them both, "If you will both be fine here, I think I will go and do my daily meditation. You are welcome to watch if you are curious. You are probably thinking, 'I don't want to watch him sit indian style with his arms out while he meditates', but that is not how I do my daily meditation. I only sit when I'm doing very complex forms of meditation, or when I'm exhausted." He bowed, this time with a small smile, and turned. He added that last bit because he remembered sitting to do some simple meditation when he first met Outai's pet. He went to find a spacious room to meditate in.

heart You found my heart and rebuilt it from dust... heart "Alright, then." Outai told him telepathically, sensing that he was somewhat surprised and at the same time, not surprised at all. "Alright then," She said aloud as Shadow spoke of his meditation, figuring that's why he wasn't surprised, and why it seemed easier for him than for most others to communicate with her telepathically. "It seems you've trained yourself to do some interesting things through meditation, granted on a much lower level than one who is able to do so naturally. This must be quite handy for you." heart ...and now let me return the favor for you. heart

Martin shook Outai's hand when she offered it. He also noticed her cat. Then he felt a slight movement in his hood. oop. The fox is awake... He thought as he shifted slightly while Shadow was backing up, thinking again about the fox and how he'd found it.
He glanced up from thought as Shadow spoke again. huh. Meditation. It would help me to learn a bit of that. If anything, learning from him would help my agility and physical ability some. Wonder if he'd train me a bit on our downtime? He between the two, feeling like he'd missed something, though.
He shrugged, as shadow walked away, then said to Outai," I can really go ether way. I'd like to see Shadow meditate, and learn from him if I could, but I've not gotten settled into a room. Plus, I've got to figure out what to do about-" With this, he reached over his head, rustling quietly and carefully in his big, Warm hood, and pulled out a small fox. He held the little creature in his cupped hands protectively as she yawned and stretched a little, re-settling into a curl with her tail just above her nose tip. -"this little bundle of energy. she's pretty calm when she's asleep like now, but believe me, when she's awake, she's hyper."

I'm still looking for where I should go to apply, but I don't suppose it would hurt to make that wait long enough to meditate. I do so occasionally to keep my control in check, and, on occasion, to also keep my...abilities....sharp. It's up to you what you do, though I think I will follow Shadow in meditation. I'm intrigued to see how he meditates as compared to how I meditate. Cute fox, by the way."

Shadow headed towards the training room. He figured it would have a lot of room for him to meditate.
He placed himself near the center of the room. He then did some stretches and movements to warm up. He did some things that would be considered unique and/or difficult for a warmup movement. Things like hand stand pushups, including one arm pushups. He alternated his arms after doing 20 of each of these.
After his warm up, he stood straight in the center of the room again. He paused, then bowed deaply, honorably, respectfully, to no one.
With a 'swoosh' and a flash, his katana was out of its sheif and poised in front of him as though he were about to spar with someone. He then started moving rapidly, gracefuly, skillfully, and silently. If he were being watched, one might realise that this did not look like a routine. It looked like he might actually be fighting someone. Attacking, blocking, menouvering, and using some outstanding technique.
One experienced in various fighting styles might be able to recognise some of the moves he was performing. They also might notice that they aren't all from the same fighting style. Some moves would not be recognised because he put them together with an understanding of physics and the movements he already knew.
I will make my opponent visible now. That way they can get a taste of my meditation abilities if they decide to watch.
At that moment, an outside viewer would see a figure materialize infront of Shadow. It was a visual clone of him, using a similar katana. He could have made the visualization anyone, but he chose himself this time.
The two had stopped for the materialization to happen. When that was finished, they bowed honorably to each other. They then started again. The observer could hear the swords connect, and both men make the apropriate sounds during the spar, even though, one wasn't really there. The two Shadows soon could not be dicerned from the real one, and they didn't speak to each other. They just faught. This is the meditation Shadow did daily, if he could. It kept him ready at moments notice.
