((First is a Will, modifyer a +3, second is attack on the imp, if I can, at +10 rng atk... SWEET!!!))
Garl quickly drew, ignoring absolutely everything besides his target-- the imp.
I've heard that if you take down the spellcaster, the spells can dissipate... I really hope this is one of those times! he thought to himself as he sent a bullet winging its way directly for the disgusting creatures' chest.
((BTW, a one isn't a crit fail, it just can't succeed... I keep forgetting myself, D&D and all....))

((Aven, you can't even roll dare on a 1, since 1 is an automatic fail. So you just roll a normal fail, not a critical fail.))

Rennara and Aven suddenly felt a powerful force overwhelm their minds as their consciousness was swallowed up in inky blackness. Their eyes grew empty and their jaws slackened as they began to make their way towards the wall of bodies, who's hands reached for them with macabre welcome. ((you begin walking towards the wall. In 3 rounds you will reach the wall, but you may make a Will roll on your turn each round to snap out of it.))
The shadow creatures lunged towards those who had resisted the imps spell, lashing out at them with shadowy tendrils.
((1st attack: Keiga
2nd attack: Marah
3rd attack: Garl
4th attack: Halsai))
((all 4 hit! defend, everyone))
The bullet Garl fired at the imp bounce off the dome of light which he had created. The imp snarled at him cruely. "You'll have to do better than that!" he sneered. Garl got the feeling that only his most accurate attacks would be able to penetrate the barrier...((in other words, you cannot add modifiers to hit the imp so long as the shield is up; you must roll a natural success))

((Attack misses, defense is 10 + 2 Agility + 4 Defense: success!))
It was probably a good thing that Halsai was so much smaller than the others--she barely skittered sideways in time, the shadow creature's claws tearing a few gashes in Aven's cloak. As she leapt aside, she tried to shoot a bolt at the thing, but her hasty dodge attempt meant that the shot went wide, pinging loudly off the walls.
"What--what are you doing?" she called out to Rennara and Aven, who were shambling toward the wall as though compelled by some mysterious force. "Snap out of it!"

Keiga stood firm against the attack shoving it off with his shield. He then charged recklessly towards the imp, hopping to drive it off guard from such a heedless and straight forward attack. Hopefully this will give the others a chance to get some surprise attacks in. Knowing my luck it will be for the best. He thought as he released a battle roar and slashed at the imp with his talons.

What!? I missed? Garl thought, trying to dodge the shadow's attack while still keeping a bead on the imp.
Of course, trying to do two things at once is just a bad idea-- which is why Garl screamed in pain as the shadow-tentacle slammed into his chest, causing him to accidentally loose a shot at random.

((Nogard, I'm gonna say that you can't use Dare to hit the Imp either; your actual attack roll has to be a natural success.
Just a suggestion, but you guys might want to focus on the shadow creatures too...
Aidan, Garl gets the impression that harming Rennara or Aven might give them a chance to break free; if they take damage, they can immediately make a Will feat to save against the mind control...but at the cost of taking damage.))
((Nogard takes 10 physical damage, Garl takes 7 physical damage. Don't forget to apply Armor modifiers.))
((I'll give Rennara and Aven until tomorrow to act before the Imp and Darklings take their turns this round))
