((May as well help get some of these threads moving a little, Misty.))
"Nice to see you're enjoying the place . . . " a voice said as a figure appeared from the shadows. He looked like a carnival barker and a junkman . . . elegant and classy as well as rogueish and crude. As he leaned on his cane, he doffed his bowler hat at the guards as he took off his coat and tossed it to the side, it turning into a raven that flew up and perched on top of the throne.
. . . ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Nick had returned.

(( Oh, yes. Especially with what I've come up with for the Land of the Unliving... ))
Hades had been sitting on his throne, looking as bored as one could be. His throne room was empty of other souls, save for Acacia. She was the equivalent of a secretary for him any more, and was never seen very far away from him. Clotho and Latchesis were in one of the guest wings of the Grecian palace. Waiting patiently for the mortal to rescue their sister from Nekron. Leaving Danny with... little to nothing to do really.
When the newcomer arrived, he causally turned his attention towards the bottom of the steps and watched as the man made his shape shifting way to the top of the throne. "I'll admit, it's far more crowded than I'm used to." Hades said, looking up at the bird. "My kingdom is in it's own space back in my universe. This whole having neighbors thing is... noisy." he added, then adjusted his black leather jacket that he still wore. He likely looked like more of an urban punk than a great ruler of the Underworld. But... he sort of was. The title of Hades was inherited. Besides the whole ruling over the souls that have been claimed for the Underworld bit... he was a spoiled rich kid with a lot of siblings and eccentric parents who knew a few people involved with magic. How well that turned out for everyone...
"So, who do I have the pleasure of addressing?" Danny asked.

Mr. Nick smirked a little as he came up, the raven cawing. "Oh, I go by many names: Lucifer, Satan, the Devil, Red Guy, Tom Brady, but you can call me Nick. Mr. Nick if you will." he said as he looked up. "And tell me about it. Was nice and quiet until THIS place kinda fell on my old domain. Figured I'd come by and have a chat . . . especially with the current racket going on." Mr. Nick explained. THIS punk's the ruler of the underworld?! he thought.
"Are you familiar with a certain little screwball who's running around the land of the Unliving right now?" he asked.

"Huh. Suppose I should say it's an honor to have you visit then, Mr. Nick." Hades said. His tone a bit impressed. "Haven't really had any of the other higher-hell-ups visit me. Demons and the dead have wandered in, much to the delight of my guard dog."
Then he turned his attention up at the crow for a moment before replying to Nick's question. "I've only recently become familiar with him." Hades said. "He's the current... love interest I suppose you would call him, of a mortal I've been involved with in the past. Her service for his full protection. Then his service for their freedom. All of that nice back and forth business." he began, then adjusted himself in his chair. "If he's in the Land of the Unliving, then it's safe to say he's gone on the little mission the Fate sisters and I have sent him on."
"Other than that, and his current involvement with my mortal, I can't say I'm very familiar with the man. Is he one of your mortals, or are you simply interested in him?" Hades asked.

"Thanks, but he ain't MY road agent. That little s**t's been a pain in my a** since he got a lucky hand. I lost the place, including THE CHAIR YOU'RE SITTIN' ON, all because he had an ace up his sleeve. That's MY job!" Mr. Nick said with a growl. "Was wondering if we should . . . collaborate. After all, if you succeed, that's another soul WE lost." he mentioned before looking up at the crow.
"That's enough, Frank!" he scolded and the bird was silenced. "Stupid bird . . . used to be a used car salesman in Duluth, Minnesota. Lied so much that he got down here . . . " he said as he shook his head. "Anyways, I also got a bet going that the little chump makes it. Unaccustomed as I am to playing for the good guys, I got something in it for you."

Hades tilted his head to the side and adjusted himself in his seat. ”Oh?” he replied. ”Well, I've nothing better to do. And the deals I made with my mortal and that man seemed as though they were pretty straight forward. And easy to predict how they'd turn out. I could consider switching things up a bit, if that's what you're asking. What do you have in mind?”

"Lemme put it this way . . ." Mr. Nick tried to explain.
"That little chump you sent out there has a few tricks up his sleeve. HOWEVER, you leave him be, he WILL die. There's no mistake about that. Nekron has some of the heaviest hitters on his team since the New York Yankees were at their prime (of course, I DID have something to do with that . . .)" he started, imagining the scenario of FINALLY getting that little Hawaiian Shirt-wearing punk getting served.
"However, if he's gonna get that Fate Sister back, we . . . and I mean WE . . . gotta help him. Of course, that patch of land there's fine property for a proper underworld, I'm just sayin'." he quipped.
"PLUS, I'll letcha keep him. No tempting or trying to cheat so he stays with me." Mr. Nick offered. Seriously. That's MY freakin' chair! he thought.

Hades looked down at Nick for a few thoughtful moments. That did seem to be a fairly good deal. Move out to some place a bit more rural... keep a soul... perhaps even claim some more. Although... the man seemed like he was a little more... desperate than that. Like he was annoyed at the very fact that the chair was being sat in.
.... oh, he could milk this. Oh, HOW he could milk this. But, it was better to make friends down here. And Mr. Nick would likely know that he was taking advantage of the mans desire to have his home back. At least, that's what he assumed Nick wanted.
"Sounds like a reasonable offer. Though... I had my eye on a different plot of land. There's another Underworld out there. Sort of in it's own little area code. Away from here, but still accessible. And still being "lived in". If I could get my hands on that, I wouldn't mind giving up this little place." Hades offered.

Mr. Nick smirked a little. "I guess you can also keep the Black Lanterns that're over there. Y'know . . . Abolisher, Doomsday, Howard the Duck . . . a few good ones. Of course, we don't have much time. Otherwise, our little nutcase is gonna be dead before we make a decision." he said as he leaned on his cane.
"After all, having a whole legion of demons and supernatural is one thing, but they got some big players there. I suggest you take over and do a little recruitin'." he explained.

Hades paused for a moment, then smiled down at Nick. He was really pushing the Land of the Unliving thing. Could he do that? Take over another universe's realm? Taking over another Underworld was one thing. But that.... well... it would be interesting to try and do.
"Alright, I suppose it would be fun to try at least. And you're right. We don't have much time to discuss it. I'm not sure I can do much in my power if the mortal gets a Black Lantern ring shoved on his finger, or Nekron's instant touch of death hits him."

Mr. Nick smirked "Oh, GOD I love a guy with drive!" he said as he snapped his fingers, the raven soaring off its perch on Hades' chair and transforming back into his coat, which he donned.
"We should probably get going. That guy's nuts enough without the whole 'being dead' schtick going for him." he explained as he leaned on his cane. "Shall we head over there and look for ourselves? Or you got a better idea?" he asked. After all, there was a good reason why he was the grand-high poo-bah of the joint and he was not. Well . . .
not yet.

"I would suggest taking a quick look there first. Just to see what we'd be getting ourselves into ahead of time." Hades replied as he stood from his throne. He gestured his hand towards the arched doorway across from his throne. The columns around the room suddenly cracked down the middle, dark red flames spouting from the opening. The door closed, and a smaller door on the wall behind the throne opened up. A woman wearing a cream Grecian dress walked into the room. A clipboard tucked carefully under her arm. "You rang?" she asked as she walked towards the front of the throne. She gave Nick a quick look, then turned her gaze back towards Hades.
"Yes, Acacia. We're going to be busy in here for a few moments, then my guest and I will likely be leaving. I want you to make sure that everything's locked up and the pups are well fed while I'm out. We may also be moving out once I get back. I'd like you to make preparations to get all the souls ready to move. I'm not sure how we'll be moving the river, but we can figure that out once I get back." Hades replied, moving his hand towards the ceiling. The flames from the columns slowly rose up the walls and made a circle in the center of the ceiling.
"Moving? I.... very well, my lord. Are there any other special preparations I should tend to while you're out?" the woman asked, drawing her fingers over a scroll that was clipped down to her clip board. Smoke rolled off of the parchment as her fingers moved across it, leaving charred markings down the scroll.
"If Mr. Nick needs anything, while we're here, please see to it. Within reason, of course. And make sure Latchesis and Clotho are taken care of while I'm gone. Same for those two infants. My end of the deal doesn't do much good for either mortal if those two are cranky when they return." he answered. The circle of fire slowly slide down, creating a long, flaming column. A few seconds after it touched the ground, the fire solidified and smoothened out, creating a clear, glass column. A round, tall, walk-around window into the Land of the Unliving.

Mr. Nick smirked. "Now let's see what interesting things our little punk brought to the tab- wait . . ." he growled as he got to the screen and watched intently. Crashed castle door . . . undead, that was a given. But . . .
"WHAT THE HELL?!?! THERE'S TWO OF THEM?!? Jeez . . . no wonder poker night was trouble!" he growled as he took a contemplative puff on his cigarette.
"Nice light show by the way, Hades." Mr. Nick added, glued to the column.

"What can I say? I have a small flair for the dramatic for certain things." Hades replied, looking contemplatively at the column. This... WAS a bit of a problem though. For different reasons than Mr. Nick had, he was sure. There were two of the men... he had the immortality thing going with the one. But... the other? Was... was that still a factor with him? Was he on a completely different timeline where the deal was gone? Either way, this would be confusing the contract to no end. That would cause trouble for his records keeper, actual energy was going to be wasted, the scroll might actually burn up, there would be more headaches involved... ugh.
"Huh. Also interesting to see a dead version of my mortal. And... one of her children? Odd... if they're dead, they should be in my realm." he mused.
