Marie's eyes were closed, she wasn't moving, she couldn't. She was still in human underwater.

Malek plunged into the icy cold water. He would go numb, but not as numb as he would if he lost her...again. He swam towards her.

Where am I? I can't move.....Am I...dead? There's something by me....Malek? No! I can't leave yet! I can't put Malek through this again!
Marie's eyes opened and she looked at Malek. She reached out to him weakly.

A hand of bone and bloody talons errupted from Bactul's wound and grabbed Kyo's wrist.

Malek swam to Marie and grabbed ahold of her. He swam for the surface. The demons followed.

Marie coughed and gasped for air once she was above water. She climbed up out of the water and looked at Malek.

::Kyo smirked at Bactul as he started chanting while his wrist was grabbed. Then ice started to form inside Bactul's stomach::

Bactul grinned wickedly and shot a spike of ice out of his stomach, impaling Kyo.

Malek grabbed the ledge and started to pull himself up. A demon grabbed his ankle.

Marie grabbed Malek's hand and pulled him up.

Malek fell. He pushed Marie back and pulled out his longsword. He turned as the first demon rose from the water.

Marie watched in horror as Malek and Kyo fought while she was helpless. She wanted to help but wasn't sure what to do.

Bactul laughed "You idiot...".
He shifted his element to that of ice. He punched Kyo in the face with a numbing fist.

The first demon lunged forward. Malek spun aside and slashed across its throat.
