Kikyo looked back at Micha.
"Why? We can handle ourselves." she muttered.
"No, you can't." Blade said, looking at Kikyo. "It is different there. They have you under constant surveillance. You can't even go outside. They lock you in a room or cell and keep you in there until they want to experiment on you. Then you go back or you don't remember anything of what happened before they were there."
"I won't be broken again." Kikyo said, singing along with her iPod and meaning it at the same time. "I'm coming with no matter what you say. Rin can stay, but I'm not." she looked at Micha and Blade with hard and cold eyes.

An immense blast of light stopped Karoline before she could chase after Erik. Who had stopped her? Erik's grandfather. "So, my grandson and the granddaughter of an old friend are fighting. Why, exactly?" Karoline's eyes got wide. She knew who was standing over her. The Erik that killed Krious 50 years ago.
"Did anyone forget about me?" Erik hit a few switches that started the van again. The only reason that the emergency shut-off was there was in case someone was stupid enough to kidnap Erik with Erik's van. "My grandfather taught me how to fight. He was...IS an expert swordsman. And I'm a master of the technique my grandfather created. And it's a technique that can defend against anything, even bullets." It was true, the only reason he survived this far is because he could slice bullets as they traveled toward him. "Nothing gets past me. Nothing."

"That's the thing you can't break again!You're already broken.If anything leaving you here is better for you.If you come back with us than no lie you have just signed your death warrent.Erik do what you want,no offense but I have no actual obligation to you.On the other hand I have an obligation to Rin and Kikyo.I knew them both before this whole mess began."Micha snarled getting right in Kikyo's face.

Blade sighed and sat back. ?He gripped the edge of the seat again.

"Okay you have a point,but if you go to Leah you will break.And not in a 'mostly harmless' kinda way.She will break you phsically,emotionaly,and mentaly.She's already testing Rin."Micha snarled now infureriated.What would it take to get the point across???
"A half ton brick and a few hundered hits to the head."Rin said weakly as she sat up only to let herself fall back into Micha's lap."Head rush."She whispered.

"Fine." Kikyo said. "Let her test me too. I don't care. Right now, I only see the two ways of getting rid of Leah and both involve Rin and I to go to New York. We need to confront Leah."
"Kikyo, listen. We won't take you. Both you and Rin belong here." Blade said, sighing. "Not there. It is horrible and trust me, it won't take you long to break. They could take the CIA to Leah and she'd break them. She's the kind of person who could break anyone and not be broke herself."

Kikyo shrugged.
"Fine." she said, turning at an exit. She looked to her left and then turned again. It was official: she was lost.
"No." Blade said, sighing. "I won't let you come. I don't care what Micha says. You aren't coming."
"We'll finish this conversation later." Kikyo muttered, taking another left.

Rin smiled as silence settled in.Yes their thoughts were buzzing like wasps but at least they weren't shouting.
Micha sat quietly still stroking RIn's hair.

Erik Sr. had opened his mind, flexing his mental power to both knock Karoline unconscious and see what was happening with his grandson. Broken? Love can hurt so much you 'break'? I find this hard to believe. Perhaps something more is happening beneath the surface.
Erik Jr. didn't care. "Fine. If no one cares about what I have to offer, then keep the van. I had a better life before all of this crap started. I have a job to do. I have to..." Erik didn't know what he was supposed to do. Was he supposed to kill Krious, like his grandfather would have done? Keep on handing out vigilante justice? A funny thought popped into his head: Protect Kikyo and Rin Erik thought it over. That's what he would have done. He would have protected these guys...I did swear I would protect them.

"Wait,what exactly are you offering?"Rin asked "Who's there?"She than asked.The thoughts of Erik Sr. were lingering as a touch over Erik Jr.She could practically see it.It was like,like an aura.
"No one is here Rin.It's just the...5???of us."Micha said a little unsure.
"Never mind.So uh...what were you saying Erik?"
