Az'Maria carried the man into the living room next to the huge fireplace and threw him to the ground in a heap. She then got some firewood and placed it neatly. Then she went over and got a little bit of oil from the basement and threw it over the logs. After that, she found a candle that was still lit and, taking a small, straight stick, lighting it, and throwing the stick onto the log pile. The flames leaped high into the chimney.
Az'Maria stared at the fire for a moment, before bending down and grabbing the body ruffley on the arms and thrusting it into the fire.

"I supose, but the smell I could do without."

"It depends on the inner goings of it. If you are presented a wonderful feast, but the taste is bland, is it still wonderful?"

Az shrugged and walked back up to her room. "I wonder where everyone else is?"

Az'Maria sighed, laying against the wall that seperated her room from Alices, so that they could talk. "I hope they went in pairs. it's dangerous now-a-days to hunt alone."

Az took in a deep breath and exhaled slowly. She didn't need to breath, but old habits are hard to break, even after centuries of life. "What we need around here is some model figures for these kids. We're to old, and they think of us as grandparents (I guess because we sort of are). We need someone a little younger then us to get some sense into these people."

Az rolled her eyes and laughed. "Is that what your painting?"
