As the smoke from the explosion cleared, Chaos could be seen standing in the same spot. His cloak was torn into pieces revealing the belted outfit below, however his right side of the arm and leg of the outfit were badly damaged. Belts fell to the ground revealing vines underneath. Chaos's face was cracked, fake flesh falling to the ground, an unamused look on his face.
"A leader doesn't let his village stand on its own. A leader guides the village. Ensures its safety and provides it with what is needs. You have stood idle by watching events unfold, unwilling to act. You and I are two very different people it seems. You, unwilling to act unless fully needed. While I act upon impulse to secure everything. Two flawed views by two flawed people."
Chaos said as his arm and leg turned from vine to flesh. His fake face breaking away and also returnin to a flesh like state. Chaos was still in a combat ready stance, prepared to attack on the slightest need.
"The Angel of Gaioh... Chaos of the White Mist... ANBU... Kage... Angel... Plant... Two creatures far beyond normal standings! I guess..." Chaos suddenly started to cough again, this time however he did not break his stance. His eyes remained locked on Azure, blood dripping from his mouth to the ground. It was getting worse, the cought was getting much worse.

"I have guided this village better than the 1st Hanekage. I have led Gaioh to prosperity from the ashes. I have set standards to live by... to grow by."
He waved his hand in a dismissive gesture.
"I am the 2nd, there will be a 3rd. Everyone should not need to rely on me to solve all their problems. I have tried to train others to lead, I will not be here forever. Every person must learn to stand on his or her own two feet. To band together for the greater good when needed."
He sighed.
"Will Gaioh survive if I am not there to lead it? If I did my job, then it should."
The sand shifted underneath Azure, circling around like sharks.
"I am not a god to be worshiped. I do not grant miracles. But I have heard nothing but praise from the individuals of this village. I must be doing something right."
His voice started becoming louder as he spoke.
"My leadership is not in question by anyone but you!"
With another sweeping arm gesture, the blades of air that had held position before, rushed forward to deal a possible ending blow.

Chaos jumped to the side rolling away from most of the attacks and dispersing the rest with his yari. He quickly wiped way the blood on his mouth and charged at Azure. His yari dragged off the ground letting sparks fly into the air, he would be ready to slash through Azure if he got within range.
"That is because they don't see the flaws. When it comes down to a true war would they know what to do? How about when your clan betrayed us! Who was there to lead them! You were not their, you had left them all to fall! I became their leader! I became the symbol of hope. You let your own clan fall into disgrace! How can you call yourself a leader? Demon spears!"
From behind Azure three demon vines shot up to attack him from behind. However attached to the back side of the vines, beyond Azure's view were Chaos's personal explosive tags. The second Azure cut through the vines, they would explode into a massive ball of flames.
"Face it Azure! You let your village down when it counted!"

The Demon Spears splintered as they collided with the whirling shield, unable to keep themselves from being torn apart upon the raging winds. However, the explosion that followed was powerful enough to dissipate the majority of Azure's defense, the storm canceled by the concussive force. Azure leapt from his perch, avoiding his fate at the hands of the fire, and brought his dagger across his chest to clash with the blade of Chaos' yari.
"And thus I've fulfilled my goal."
Azure began through clenched teeth as there was strain between the two, holding a deadlock.
"Both the old order and the village's innocence were destroyed that week."
Azure began as he revealed this revelation.
"Gaioh has only now lost all those who opposed my ideals. The White Hand, the Rijekuto, countless raiders and thugs, and finally Ulwe's Ichijin. This village has been finally freed from the plagues of the past. New leadership has formed from within, with you and others."
He smiled.
"Do you not understand yet? I let Ulwe cause a civil war in order to force others to take on the mantle. I had no intention of letting them live afterwards..."
Sparks escaped from the blades as they slid across one another.
"The task I had set forth since becoming Kage has been fulfilled."

Chaos did not let up on his yari. He pushed forward with great force not willing to let up.
"So you let the cival war happen?"
An evil smile appeared on Chaos's face as they remained locked.
"That sounds like something I would do. Though something like that doesn't suit you. Letting countless ninja die and weakening the village only for a short while so that it could only grow stronger. Trimming the rose bush."
Chaos's cold stare appeared on his face once more.
"Let me ask you this then. If I am one of these sparked leaders, can you afford to lose me?"

"Others have shown their potential to be greater than yours."
Azure said as he tried to push harder than Chaos' was pushing.
"You are only a detriment as you are now. Your loss will be insignificant."

"Is that so? Let me ask you this then. How many of those potential ninja were under my training at one point or another?"
Chaos said as his smile reformed as Azure started to push him back. However this gave Chaos the opening he needed. Suddenly from Chaos's chest five vines shot out at Azure's body. If Azure tried to dodge Chaos would cut through him with his yari, if he stood still he would be impaled.
"You know damn well that my influence has lead many of this village to gain more power. In the hopes of surpasing me!"

Azure pushed off the ground towards Chaos in that split instance. Using his current momentum, moving forward and up, he flipped over Chaos' head like a gymnast. The vines passed through the area he once occupied, striking nothing. However, before he even got 3/4ths of the way, which would have his back almost level with Chaos' back, facing away, he vanished again as his blade slashed through time and space.
Azure appeared a few dozen meters from where he was about to land, unscathed, but running low on options.

"You can win... And you know it, don't you?" Chaos said as he turned around to face Azure face to face. He pointed his yari at Azure once more. "You gave me more power than ever before and now you can't stop me. You also know that I am right don't you? That you need in this village! That you have made many errors as Hanekage! Despite my ways, I am needed and you know it."
The ground beneath Chaos's feet began to crack as he gathered up more and more chakara. "I look forward to running Otegine through your body!" Chaos said as he dashed forward at Azure, preparing to impale Azure.

"I have already made peace with whatever flaws I possess. No leader is perfect, especially one who took control of a shattered village."
Azure slammed his foot into the ground. The ground crumbled beneath him and the loose pieces were snagged by the very air itself. The clumps of sand and stone, some several feet across, were held together by varying sized spheres of wind. They rose themselves in front of the 2nd like a crushed shield. He would use these to batter Chaos into the ground.

"That won't work!" Chaos said as he thrusted his yari forward into the shield the second had created. The Yari cut through the balls of air, once again dispersing the wind jutsu. "My yari Otegine can cut through any attack, even your wind jutsu."
Chaos had spent a small fortune to find a yari like Otegine before he fought Ulwe but it was never found. Instead it had come after the fight but yet still at the right time. A weapon that could match and defeat the Ichijin swords, yet he got so much more.

Like a dozen deformed hammers, the remaining shards moved up and down as if some strong people were pummeling Chaos with them, as if he were some stake to drive into the ground.

Chaos weaved in and out of the shards, taking hits here and there. Blood dripping from his wounds, Chaos thrusted his yari at his target. He thrusted his yari straight at Azure. We would no give up, he would never give up.
"I will not be defeated by you!"

Azure used his quick reactions as a trained ninja and his small dirk to parry as Chaos continuously drove forward. The 2nd was amazed at the stamina and perseverance that Chaos had. It was something truly respectable.
Nevertheless, Azure was determined to win the match. However, he had lost his desire to execute Chaos. There were more then enough reasons to justify the murder of this ANBU, but Azure was kind at heart, and uncommonly merciful. If he could render Chaos unconscious instead of killing him, that would be sufficient to save this village, or so he believed. His eyes would probably betray his intentions and outlook if looked at hard enough.

Chaos pulled his yari back quickly as it was parryed only to this time slash down at Azure. Yari had an edge in the spear category for having a blade as the tip and not a pointed cone.
Chaos was once again bleeding from his mouth, his body once more giving out to his transformations between human and vine. Chaos knew that he was killing himself with every transformation between human and vine yet he continued on. He would not give up, not until he could move no more.
