Jack felt the pain ease and then all of a sudden it lifted... he looked up to see Kai on the ground and another being with his hand stretched out, Jack was up and ready to fight before he knew what to do, he caught up with himself and readied to save his friend "You mess with Kai, you mess with me!" Jack swung his sword out so that it pointed straight at the ground to his side, all of a sudden his whole body was on fire, his sword was 6 feet long of burning fire instead of the usial 3 and a blazing whip of fire came out of his left arm, he was not holding it, it was actually attached to him. He swung out and the whip wrapped around the being tieing him securly, then he looked to lunge his massive of a sword into the being, his voice was deeper more modified as he yelled out at the fiend

The angel's hold lifted as Rem's face distracted him. The attack had caught whoever it was off guard. No dared to attack him, especially in the human world. He staggered a good distance before regaining his footed and having enough time to barely block the whip with an energy shield.
Meanwhile, Kakairo was coughing air back into her burning lungs. Her lack of energy and dizziness kept her laying on the dirt ground.
"No!.... The gas Jack..!" She gasped inbetween coughs. She hadn't realized the other person that had join them.
The angel turned towards her with the shield still up. "Keep in mind your purpose. If you don't follow what we say and by our rules, we will terminate not only our deal, but you as well."
The angel disappeared after the harsh departing words.

Rem stomped over and viciously plucked her hat off the ground and cursed. "For the love of God Kai! You just attract the post pious holier than thou pompous s**t heads in the cosmos!" She said waving her arms around. "OH MY GOD! Who's in the arena right now?! Wait first, are you ok?"

Jack cussed as he missed the guy and looked at Kai as she coughed out her words, he turned around when the guy left and realized he left a trail leading to the gas pumps "oh.... son of a B-" KABLAM!!! a huge explsion ripped though the small town and it could be heard for 40 miles, Jack was thrown backwards and swung out with his whip to catch Kai, whom was still weak, he pulled her towards him, grabbed her, he fell to the ground with him between Kai and the fire, he acted as a shield for Kai, he didnt know what happened to the new member but didnt think about it too much, to keep himself from getting thrown again he used his sword to dig a hold into the ground, anchoring they both

Kai brought her head up a few inches at the voice. "....Rem?"
The series of events that followed in slow motion to her. The moment her brain regained oxygen, it went into hyperspeed. She threw a space sphere over the owner, who was knocked out, just as the blast ignited. She was then thrown by the power of the blast, but suddenly found herself being held in a protective hold. She blinked, and next think she knew she was on her back with Jack smushing her to the ground. She smelt ash, smoke and chemical burning. A black smoke hung over them. It took her brain another moment to gather the setting. When it did, she gasped sharply and tried to sit up straight.
"Jack are you ok? Rem... REM?!"
She felt the buzz of panic trickle in the back of her mind, but she was able to squish it out. Centuries of situations like this had taught her that handy trick.

Jack stood up in the exlosion crater that was made, and looked down at Kai coughing, he was covered in black, from the ash and char and was unrecogniseable, he gave his hand to Kai to help her up... "wow excuse me, my bad, who was that other person that helped us, and who was that guy that.... " a sudden thought occured to him.... "oh no...." he turned around and noticed that his car was blown to bits, the tires were still there but in puddles as they had melted into the ground and pieces were skewerd around... Jack stared with his jaw dropped, then hung his head... "crap" he said to himself quietly

"Oh yeah, feel bad for the car." Rem bit sarcastically as she used her some what singed wings to clear the air around her of the thick black haze. "What about your friend you nearly fried!" She coughed to emphasize her point. "Jeeze you two." She chided with a chuckle. She had already taken care of the poor owner, memory and all. "First, are you ok? Second, who's in the arena? and third... what the Hell is going on?!"

Jack was torn back to reality as he realized he could just get another one, he did have the money, and turned to look at the new addition, his mouth fell even further than before, "REM!!!...!!!..." Jack tried to find words but couldn't, he took a deep breath, walked over to her and held out his hand, trying to keep his compousure in check he was after all 19 now, hows it been, I have a question, how in the world did we all meet up in this raggity old town huh??"

Kai shook her head at Jack. Part of her said he deserved losing his car, but the other pitied him. She growled at Rem's chiding. "Don't give me that! You're the one that's glutton for trouble. Sh*t doens't blow up when you're not around."
As hard as it sounded, there was a soft tone to it. It was just like old times with everyone together. Each fighting amongst and with each other, demented family settings, things exploding, chaos spiralling into existance..... Yep. Home sweet home.
"And one, peahy keen. Two, I have no idea everyone LEFT!! And three, just that, apparently: Hell."
She looked at Jack. "Apparently, also, I'm fated to be superglued to you losers for however long I live."

Rem blinked for a few seconds before laughing then turning around and screaming. "AAAHHHH I"M THE MOST HORRIBLE MOTHER IN THE COSMOS!!!" She paced and flailed her arms a bit as she bit her lip. She then came to an abrupt halt and recomposed herself. "Oh yeah I forgot to tell you... I have a son... he's 15 and right now... he's in the arena. I sent him there because well as unsafe as it is... it's the only place I could think of while I checked out this weird feeling I had."

Jack looked at Kai, "yeah hell, have you ever seen the movie constantine where hell looked like the middle of a nuclear explosion and we were just.... wait.... nevermind, forgot that Kai has trouble figuring out what V,C,R, stands for..."
Jack then answered her again, "well its a good thing I have a shorter life than you, knowing you forever would be a real drag..." he winked, stopped and looked at Rem.... "wooooah.... a lot happened to you in three years... wow Rem, a kid... heh that must be fun" all of a sudden Jack lost his composure and gave Rem a very black sooty ashy hug, "I MISSED YOU GUYS!! ITS BEEN SOO BORRING!!"

Rem squeezed Jack snugly and sighed. "You have no idea, I've had to deal with her for centuries." Rem smiled, one fang poking over her bottom lip. "I've been... busy." Rem said absently stroking the odd whorling scar on her right forearm. "Actually I was heading to the large city just north west from here. I just happened to hear you guys."

Kai was hit in the gut probably multiple times. She was so stunned at what Rem said she could even retort to Jack. She finally sighed and got to her feet. "Well... to ease your concerns, lets head to the Arena real quick. You can use the excuse that you just ran into some old friends."
She openned a space sphere.

Rem let out a sigh of relief and hugged Kai tightly. She knew Kai's bones could take it. "Thank you... I'm sorry I'm freaking out."
With that she jumped through the sphere.

Jack jumped for joy when the rip in space opened up "yes my life isnt going to borring again!!! see yall on the other side!" and he stepped through the portal
