Siku merely rolled her eyes at Eyal as he stated his power over her with his good friend, Rotem. Well fine. He won that little battle but by the way his smirk changed to that of a shock at her next statement, Siku could definitely declare this talk a victory for her. Eyal certainly had been set off kilter by her remark even if he recovered in recorded timing. That expression of shock and surprise had passed his maw. Siku's eyes never lied.
His real desire, to stay out and enjoy the night, was in turn Siku's moment to look unsure. Should she really let them do that? Even though Eyal stated it safe, would he really be able to handle an attack? She could've sworn she had seen him limping not too long ago.
Yet they weren't too far off from home so if trouble arose they could escape without much fear of loosing their lives. With a great big sigh of defeat, Siku replied. "Alright. One night out wouldn't hurt." Her eyes then turned to the sky. "I wouldn't mind watching the stars anyways. They seem extra pretty tonight."

"Thank you..." He said as he gazed out at the stars. The chilly air drifted onto the ridge almost as soon as the sun had set. Without much thought in it, having done it for Jaron in his earlier ears, he picked up the cub and placed her between his front paws.
"Do you know what the stars are, Siku?" He lifts his head, his expression serious and maybe a little sad. "The stars those who have died, lions, hyenas... All the animals, maybe some we don't even know about are those lights, watching down on us. The brightest are the great warriors and the kings, watching us from their new domain." He glanced up toward he believed was his father's star. "They protect us."
The older lion lays his head down to the side, his mane resting against the young cub like a blanket. He opens one vibrant green eye to watch her then closes it again. Resting and enjoying the evening.

Siku certainly didn't mind Eyal scooping her up and placing her in the safety that was within his grip. Oh no, after spending quite some time with him she'd grown used to being picked up and brought somewhere else by the large lion. It just felt as natural as when her parents would pick her up and carry her.
"Not really....I never listened to my parents when they tried to tell us." She honestly replied to his question. It was true. She always seemed to find something much more interesting when her parents started some of their stories. But as Eyal spoke and told her, she really wished that she had listened. It was beautiful, enchanting, and amazing to think that all the great creatures still watched over them within the safety of stars. "So..." She twisted her head from the sky to look back at him, "Like how you protect me. That's nice. That way everyone has their own special guard. Although mine isn't in the stars." Siku's voice drifted in a dreamy state as her thoughts expanded with the use of imagination. As the stars twinkled and shone brightly, it was as if they were whispering words for sweet dreams and peace. With an airy giggle, Siku curled in on herself and rested her head on top of one of Eyal's massive paws.
The little cub yawned a mighty yawn that certainly did not fit her size and age. She didn't seem to notice this though as she nestled close to Eyal, seeking the warmth his large body offered. "Good night, Eyal." Siku whispered to him. It wasn't long after that before the beauty of night eased Siku's soul and sent her off to dream sweet dreams.
