Victoria went to Biology, the first class, out of breath and unbelievably tired. She went to the vending machine to get something to drink. There was a variety much bigger than last year, but unfortunately, it was a water variety. Flavored, Carbonated, Original, Brand Names... "Fancy, much?" Victoria just had to roll her eyes.
"What happened to the old varieties? Like Ice Cream and Chocolate?" Ricky complained.
"Oh shut up. You can't even eat them, stupid." Alana glared at Ricky.
"Victoria, you're time is running out, don't you think it'd be a good idea to get to class now?" Lucy suggested. Victoria kept to herself as the two ghosts argued, and the third talking to her, as she wasn't paying attention. She peered into the classroom, and saw that nobody had even come to class yet. She could tell that the teacher was very pleased about this. She quickly closed the door before the teacher was able to see her, and left the hallway as soon as she could. It smelled like something had died in there. Dissection day. "Disgusting...I don't see how anybody would want to go in there. Even if there was a buffet of chocolate candies from around the world..." Victoria kept on walking aimlessly in the halls, she just wanted to get away from the classrooms.

Startled, Gem let her control go causing the light to vanish in a flash.
"Oops, sorry about that." she grinned apologetically, getting to her feet and shrugging. "I'm new this year, I haven't got a clue where biology is either, I think the dorms might be that way though."
She pointed with her free hand, the other picking up her bag.
"I'm Gem by the way."

"I'm Jackie. Nice to meet you. Well, uh... I guess I'll just wander around here until I find it. It's kinda empty, so I guess we're late anyway, hm? What class are you supposed to be in right now?"

"You too." Gem replied as they began walking again. "Mm I think we are, the bell rung about ten minutes ago. I'm in biology as well, sophmore though. They really should hand out maps shouldn't they?"

"Heh, yeah... want to come with me to look for the biology rooms? The freshman and sophomore classes are probably close to each other."
As she said this, she could hear someone approaching in a hall nearby.

Victoria kept on walking through what looked like last year's math building, except it was painted differently.
"Oh, look. Somebody's lost. Poor girls." Ricky sensed two girls up ahead.
"Ricky, you're such a loser." Alana said.
"Okay, I'm serious this time, you two really need to get a hold of yourselves and stop fighting. You're like...some kind of super old married couple or something" Lucy rolled her eyes, she was really getting tired of this. Victoria told the three following ghosts to be quiet. She didn't really know anybody this year since most people were knew, so she wouldn't know if they were involved with ghosts or not. Victoria walked towards the two girls, ignoring her deadly followers.
"Hi! I'm Victoria. Are you two lost? It's kinda common. I think I can help." Victoria said, with a smile on her face.

Mason and Brandt followed their floating books around the corner and approached a small group of people, and of course, Mason wanted to say 'hi.' She skipped up to them, flicking her finger around, making the books tumble around in the air. "Hi, Victoria." She said with a wave. "And Hi... other people!" She turned toward the other unknown girls. She put the books down on the floor by her feet and produced a tiny ball of light, then pushed it in Brandt's face, giggling. "I'm Mason and this is Brandt."
Brandt rubbed his neck and followed Mason up to the three girls and smiled his winning smile. As a flash of light filled his eyes, he balled his hand up in a fist, put it in front of his nose, then opened his hand, producing a splash of water that froze and put out the light.
"We're gonna be late for class, Mase." He said, pointing to his wrist, where a watch would be if he had one. He then rolled his eyes and smiled again. To Mason, people were FAR more important than education.

Victoria turned around to fine Mason, and Brandt. "Hi Mason! Oh...um, I'd recommend skipping Biology today...we're dissecting something, and it really smells." Victoria said, smiling.
"Don't encourage them to skip class, Victoria!" Ricky was getting pissed.
"Can't you just relax for one day? I mean, shouldn't she get to know people at least?" Alana said, flatly.
"I agree with Alana. You're so uptight, Ricky. But it's okay, in another dimension, we're all like you." Lucy giggled.
Victoria tried her best to ignore her following souls, in an attempt not to screw things up again, like last year.

Brandt snorted when Victoria talked of skipping class. "I'm in, actually." He said, and Mason nodded. "Dissecing smelly things doesn't sound fun. So, you're in the Junior/Senior Bio class with us this year! How's it feel?" He asked as Mason continued playing with light balls.

"Really? Thanks so much!" Jackie replied, relieved to find someone to help. "I'm looking for the freshman biology room, and she's looking for the sophomore one," she continued. "Hang on. Did you say your name was Victoria? You wouldn't happen to be in Dorm 4, would you?"

Gem nodded to Jackie, about to agree that the classes probably were close - and if not, at least they might have more luck searching together - when Victoria, and then Mason and Brandt appeared in the corridor. At the appearance of more people, Gem naturally found herself retreating into shy mode, following their conversation with a smile and the occasionally nod as oppose to speech.
Ewww! If their class is dissecting something, I don't even want to know what the freshman/sophmore class is doing. Maybe we could go outside, it's fairly nice if the sun's on you...no we could get spotted out there, we could all crash one of the dorms, either way I want to put this heavy bag back in there.
"Speaking of dorms, you wouldn't happen to know where they are would you?" Gem asked the group shyly, adding "Dissecting something sounds completely gross." to show she was up for skipping too.

"Well actually the rooms are really big, so everyone's packed in together...I think they remodeled." Victoria pointed in the direction of the dormitories. "The dorms are over there, and yes, I'm in Dorm room 4." Victoria smiled.

Brandt tilted his head slightly. "None of you would happen to be in room 1, would you? Someone had already been there when I went to drop off my stuff." He looked around at the girls, a little nervous just because he was rooming with a girl. That was apperant at the type of things he saw at a glance.
Mason sighed. "I don't have a roommate right now. Maybe later." She continued to play with her ball of light absent-mindedly.

"Oh! I'm your roommate!" Jackie said with a smile. "I'm Jackie, nice to meet you," she continued, "and you, and you," she added, nodding at Brandt and Mason.
As much as she wanted to make friends, Jackie did not want to get behind in school, especially on the first day. "Even if they're dissecting stuff, I think I still want to go," she began, "I'm used to it. Some of my friends are, uh . . . into that kind of stuff." She didn't want to mention yet that those friends were foxes, birds of prey, and various other carnivores, and they "dissected" small animals for dinner rather than for science, but she didn't want people to question her sanity before they even got to know her. "I guess I'll catch you guys later. Which direction should I go in?"

"Dorm one that would be me, i'm Gem." she replied, a slight blush forming as she realised she was sharing with a boy. She looked down at her feet to cover this up, adding a "Nice to meet you."
Gem turned to Jackie as she asked for directions, feeling a little guilty that she should have to dissect something by herself. "If you're going, maybe I should too seeing as we're in the same class?"
