Unable to help it, Galleai's fur stood up on her arching back and her tail swelled up to three times it's size. "Oh! Oh!" She said, at a loss for more significant words.

Joshua didn't know what to do. But there was no time to be frightened. "Sorry Princess, my mom will pay for this!" He said, taking a corner off of her desk and stuffing it into the witch's mouth. Maybe something sweet would cure the witch of her bitterness? He hoped so.

The witche's face contorted, and then a big smile crossed her face and she grew more beautiful than before. "Oh, thank you!" She said. "You've broken my spell!"
"Your spell?" Galleai asked. At least her fur had stopped standing on edge. Now she was just curious. "I thought the princess was under a spell."

Joshua smiled, "Maybe the witch took all her sweetness by turning the castle into sugar?" He suggested. He looked at the princess. She was smiling, but still made out of sugar.

"Maybe thats not really the princess." Galleai said, looking at the saccharine girl suspiciously. Then she turned her gaze to the witch. "Maybe there is no princess. Or maybe you're the princess."

Josh paused, and looked around. The princess was the only thing still made out of sugar. "If you're the princess.. Who is she?" He pointed at the sugar girl.
The princess explained that the girl was simply a way of hiding what had really happened to her. "Sugar doesn't grow like humans," She told them, "So even after ten years, no one thought anything of it. I have waited a long time for you to come."

'We really did break the curse, then!" Galleai said triumphantly, winding around Josh and the princess' ankles. This was the first real fairy-tale dream that she'd played in, and she thought it was fantastic. "Does that mean that Joshua is a knight? You should knight him!" She added.

Joshua was pleased, but he was surprised when Galleai suggested that the Princess knight him. He watched the Princess' face to see what she would do, then..
"I'm planning on it." The Princess said smiling. "What do you say Joshua? Want to be my knight? Of course, your friend would be one too.. but.." She paused for a moment, looking confused.

"Oh, I dont need to be a knight. I dont know if you can knight a cat." Galleai said cheerily. "But Joshua should definitely be knighted!"

The princess smiled, "But you should at least get a reward. Is there anything you would like?" She told Joshua to kneel, and hand her his sword.
Up to that point, Joshua hadn't known he'd even had a sword. He handed it to her.

Galleai purred. "Maybe a cookie? I'd really like a cookie." She decided, rubbing up against Josh and the princess.

The princess smiled at Galleai. "A cookie? We can do that." She set the sword on Joshua's shoulder. "From now on, you'll be our Knight. If we should ever have trouble, you will be the first to know about it."

Galleai pranced around cheerfully. "Oh Josh! I'm so proud of you!" She said, noticing that things seemed to be turning a little fuzzy. Her voice was turning echoey. Was she waking up, or was Josh?

Joshua noticed the fuzzyness right away. The castle was starting to spin. Josh knew it was time for him to leave, but he also knew that he would be back soon. "I'll play with you again Galleai! I promise!" He said, just before the room went black.
