This was going well for Alix. She smiled and said, "No, I don't mind at all." as she got into the man's vehicle. She wondered what his home was like, and where it was.

Dimitri flicked a switch and the Windsheild folded down ofer the cockpit. He shifted into drive then put abit of gas on, the digital Speedometer read 70 m/h. He pushed abit more the the speedomoter now read 100 m/h. He kept the speed their, the ride was amazing, thought it hit a few dips they barelly felt anything, thank god for military grade shocks. "By the way my names Dimitri" He said. He kept his eyes focused on the desert outside.

Alix disliked giving her name to anyone, but she figured that it was a necessary evil in this circumstance. She couldn't very well practically invite herself to someone's place of living and then not give them her name when they had so casually given her theirs. "I'm Alix." she said and then thought, I seem to be doing a lot of things that I'd rather not be doing today.

On the horizan a large metal shape could be seen half burried in the sand. He reached up and flicked a switch, then increased speed. The speedometer rose up until it leveled at 190 m/h. "I don't like getting too much sand inside" He said. As they got closer the shape could be made out more clearly. It was a large spaceship, it was hard too tell it's actual size but it looked about two foot ball fields long and two wide, it almost looked alien but that's probally becasue it was a advanced shuttle that was used only for Military purposes. "Russian Mark 29 Command base, This on is called the Potemkin" He said, large bay doors opened up and Dimitri flicked a switch back too it's orginal position, the Doors began too close. He Slowed down, drove up the ramp and into the Motor pool area as the doors closed. He Flipped the switch too open the hatch then grabbed his rifle and the breifcase then climbed out. "Galley and ladies washroom is down that hallway" He pointed the hall too his left. "Quarters are down too one too the right of it then headed in the opposite direction. "I'm going too shower so try and figure things out on your own" He said. then threw a large light switch sending power too the whole ship.

Secretly, Alix was impressed with Dmitri's home, but she didn't want him to know that, so she just said, "Ok." and walked off in the direction of the quarters. She put her sword down, there should be no need for it in this shelter, and if she needed a weapon she always had her dagger and gun. Alix then walked off to the washroom to get cleaned up. Walking around in this wasteland resulted in getting lots of sand and dust in your hair and on your face.
After washing her face and splashing some water on her hair, Alix headed towards the galley. She had been wandering around for a while and needed something to eat.

Dimitri stepped into the men's washroom and removed his armor and stuffed it all in a duffle bag then showed. He slipped on clean clothes then went too his room and locked the breifcase in a safe. he took out his armor and began cleaning it.

I sighed, covered in grease and oil, all the way up to my elbows. Damn p.o.s. ... stupid alien machine.... grr.... I threw the wrench into the engine of the alien flight craft and gave up on my attempts to fix it. I moved through the garage to the tattered couch and plopped down, soda can in hand. After a bit of news and more reasons to hate every species alive, I climbed off my a** and took a shower, nice and clean, pretty blue moon skin. I dressed in my usual black combat clothes: baggy black pants with more pockets than I know what to do with, a black tank top, and black boots. Simple. black. easy to move in. the only kind of clothes I own. Sad. I grabbed a black ruck sack and threw it over my shoulder, time to scrounge... I left the warm safety of my under-the-surface home into the harsh sun of the desert and began my rat pack hunt for parts, staff in hand.

Dimitri finished cleaning a boot when a small light went on at a small computer terminal. He walked over and sat down and typed a few commands, A grid came up and one section blinked red. He typed a few mor commands, several amber colored squares lit up, three moving out of the grid, four leading too the center of the grid, He rolled the chair over and started putting his armor back on, then remeber two things. He Rolled back too the desk and hit an intercome button, "Uh Alix...I need too step out for a moment, when your done whatever your doing, could you head down too the lowest level and toss the steaks into the pen for me it's feeding time" He said. He finished putting his armor back on then ran back too the motor pool and grabbed his rifle then headed outside using a worker entrance/exit on the side of the ship, THe sector where the sensor had set off was at the south edge, and from that angle the ship simply looked like an unnormally large sand dune due too it being burried. It could be a travler...or one of the beasts...I really hope it isn't a scorpion...they creep me out. He thought. He moved quickly across the sand and stopped at a Small dune a few feet from the ship. He reached his hands into the sand and twisted something then pulled a hatch open then ducked inside. Inside was a small makeshift bunker he had build from scrap parts. He grabbed a sniper rifle he kept in here and looked throught the scope. It was mostly flat for about a quarter of a mile from the bunker so he'd see anything that came and could kill it before whatever it was could even see the bunker, or ship.

Miles. Miles of nothing but dunes. and heat waves. no junk parts. nothing usefull. damn desert... I was walking close and closer to a wrather large sand dune. larger than the others. I stood for a moment taking in it's size and studying it. odd... "d**k has had way too much of an effect on me..." I mutter as i walk ever closer to the abomination, investigating it.

Dimitri saw the intruder. He studied it for a moment. The skin was a pale blue, the person wore all black, not a good thing if you were trying too avoid overheating...then again he was the walking tin can. From the hair style and, manner it was dressing in he decided it was female. He lined up the crosshairs on the scope with her then zoomed in. ...I'll give her a warning shot He decided and moved the rifle too just infront of her and fired. The crack of the rifle echoed abit as the round exploded out of the barrel and slammed into the ground infront of her, kicking up a tiny puff of sand. He pulled the slide back ejecting the spent case, then slid it forword, locking the next round into the gun. Taking his eyes away from the scope too do so.

The girl didn't move from her four legged position, but she was looking right at him. He lowered the rifle. He walked over too a intercom system and pressed it. "...what are you doing on my propety?" He asked.

Dimitri rolled his eyes and set the rifle down and picked up his usual assult rifle and slung it over his shoulder. He ckimed out of the san bunker, then gave the door a kick, sand came tumbling down over the door, concealing it. "Well if your looking for ship parts you certainly choose a hell of a salvage sight...the question is how big is the ship because I know where there are plenty of parts...but they might be alittle big for it" He said and walked down the side of the dune. He kept his distance however. He didn't hate aliens, but he had afew trust issues since the incident involving the death of his squad.

"uh.... about a fourth of this dune. Which I assume is actually your ship?" I said with a smile. I scanned the horizon and tried to breath easy, on closer examination, the shiny tin can man wore the same armor of the ones who had shot at me. "I've built it from several different parts so it isn't on specific thing..."
