Kirai's eyes opened a bit wider. "Oh..." You could tell she was a bit more than shocked, then she mentioned, "However, wasn't Zai only human? I figured she died a long time ago..."

"Yeah, I would have figured too, but who knows what she discovered. After all, she does deal with alot of illegal substances, maybe she found a way to prolong life. Or maybe it was an accident." he shrugged.

Kirai looked down at him in a little shock for a moment, then her expression lightened and she put her hand on his shoulder. "Alas, you poor child.... finding your comfort in a thing like me, desparate, arn't you?" Kirai said in a quiet, fun and mocking tone.

Edward smiled. "I don't count myself desperate. Just having good taste is all." His tone being playful as well. He turned so that he was looking up at her, a half smile, have grin on face.
((Never in a 1000 years did anyone think something like this would have happened.))

Kirai moved her hand against her forehead, and shook her head in disapprovement. "Must I wack you over the head with a croquet mallet or put a corset tightly around your waist so you can hardly breath, or thus will you ever continue to act as such? Or maybe I should make a sacrifice to the god of common sense...."
((Never in a thousand years did I think this would happen ._. is no girl safely kept from Edward's flirtous ways?? What is she, #209?))

"Oh come now, you know I'm playing." He sat up and looked at her. "I was just trying to make you happy. I know when I am gone, that you get sad. I didn't mean anything by it." He glanced away for a few seconds. "Anyway's I haven't shown interest in anyone since..." He couldn't say it. He couldn't say since mim died. That was still hard for him to deal with.

Kirai hugged him, putting her arms around him from behind. "....I know Edward, I'm sorry. You've... been the only one that's been here. Since he died, everything is so silent...." She squeezed him a bit tighter. "Know you are my dear friend, and you've made me happy. I just can't respond to things well... and at times it hurts because...." Kirai bit her lip, not knowing if she should say it or not. "I know you hated each other... but you can act exactly like him." Kirai let go of him, and stood up, facing the other way, trying to control her facial expression and posture to appear alright.
((oh yes, but... let's mix in some drama in the future: and I have the perfect plan))

Edward stood up and wrapped his arms around her from behind. "I'm sorry that I am insensitive at times. I do forget that you are still having difficulties. You are one of my only friends, which makes me hold you even dearer to me. I'm sorry." He whispered, then let go of her, though he didn't move from behind her.
