Temple paused and then slouched back against the booth again. 's**t, I just think it's stupid. Even if I wanted to say something, Chloe's being a ******** psychopath and won't tell me a damn thing. It was the cat demon kid that told me she got, what, kidnapped? Well they already knew that.'

The man shrugged, taking another drink. He seemed to be getting a bit more loose lipped as the alcohol kept pouring in.

'Drugged?' Temple paused, then shrugged. 'Well, who the ******** knows.'

He downed a good chunk of the glass and heaved a small sigh, fishing around in his pocket to procure the golden chain he'd been carrying with him and examine it.

'Hey!' He snatched it back hastily, adding 'Not yours!'

He looked down at the chain for a moment, then shrugged and put it down on the table, reaching over to grab another drink.

'I never liked Chloe much, even before she lost her gawd damn mind. ******** whiny brat.' Temple informed Evijan, taking a sip of the drink before continuing, 'I just think, you know, if you have a good family then ******** take advantage of that, don't piss it away to hang out in some a**-backwards underground base full of freaks--no offense.'

He took a bigger swig when he'd finished, wiping at his mouth with his arm.

'Yeah?' He asked, beginning to feel the lingering effects of the drink, 'Well guess it's good you've got someone then. ******** finished off the second glass and put it aside, recollecting the chain.

'I do and I don't, I guess.' Temple said, shaking his head a bit when his vision went momentarily blurry. 'Anyway, what the ******** ever. Where's that free s**t they promised you? Hey!'

He called the waiter over slightly louder than he'd intended, causing a few people to glance his way. The waiter approached. 'Don't birthday people get a cake or some s**t? Well, go ******** get it!'

'Sure, sir.' The waiter said, giving him the death glare but saying nothing.

Temple errupted into laughter, only pausing when he remembered the nearly empty drinks.

'Oh! And get some more drinks too!' He loudly yelled at the waiter. Across the room the girl he'd called Chloe's sister was glancing his way in between exchanging whispers with her friends.
