The nameless but currently dubbed as 'Brat' Godling was sitting in his pen, yowling in anger at the others that were outside of it. This was sooo unfair! He got this bottle with milk in it, while really good currently that wasn't the point, and outside of his pen the rest of the family was eating something else. It smelled so good, so tasty! He wanted some of it too, why was it that they weren't sharing the meat with him! It had to be better then this!

"Want for me to go and get him?" Tsu asked of his father, tilting his head to the side.

The white haired monster hunter shook his head, "Everyone is supposed to be eating, that means him too. Hes gonna get spoiled if everyone carries him around all the time." This was mostly for Tsu and Keiji who had been holding the boy since he had arrived, loving on him and generaly spoiling the brat making him into a Super Brat. He gave a glance over at the kid then shook his head.

Yoko was glarring over the table at the pen, what a loud baby. Its voice was starting to grate on him, making his ears hurt and even with that Tsu wanted to go and pick him up, play with him. So unfair and annoying! He wanted to toss him outside like one did with a yapping dog. He seemed tempted enough that when Shin looked over at him and then seeming to read his thoughts through his eyes he shook his head, "No." He ordered, "Everyone just eat then you can decide how to deal with the brat."

Keiji looked up from his food, "He needs a name. Brat isn't a name that is suitable enough for a God!" He said, shaking his head. He was worried that the kid would actually start to think that 'brat' was his name before they could get him a better one, one that suited him better. A REAL name.

Shin nodded, "Yes, I suppose that he does." He murmured, glancing over at the pen again, listening to the yelling, the yowling, and the anger. He gave a sort of a humming sound before a smirk spread over his lips, "Vishal."

Keiji, Tsukiko, and Yoko all looked over at the hunter, confused, "Huh? Whats a Vishal?" Tsu asked.

"Vishal is perfect, it describes well his mouth." Shin said, taking another bite of the dinner that was sitting before him.

The three boys looked at each other as if hoping that one of them might know what Shin was talking about, then all of their gazes were back on Shin waiting in an expectant manner.

Shin grinned, "It means 'large'." He said, simply.

Yoko lost it, laughing silently but histarically and even Tsukiko couldn't help but do the same thing. They both knew that the name was basically Shin saying that the damn kid had a big mouth and naming him for it.

"Shin!" Keiji cried, "That isn't what I meant when I said he needed a suitable name!"

"But you do agree that its suiting?" Shin asked.

Keiji stuttered, flushed, then went back to eating. A way of admitting that yes it was a fitting name even if he didn't say it outloud, the baby did have a big mouth but...

"How about we finish up with dinner then we can work on finding him something to wear for tonight." Shin said, getting Keiji's attention on something else, "Will worry about getting him his own clothing tomorrow. Sound good?"

"I have something he can wear." Tsu pipped up, wolfing down the rest of the food he had on his plate before scurrying off to fetch one of his shirts, it would be long on the baby yes but it would keep him warm that was for sure. He bounced over to the table and held it out, "Here!"

Shin was just finishing and he nodded, "Go get him for me?"

Tsu nodded and took a couple of steps before he got his wrist captured by Yoko, "Ahh? What?" He asked of the glarring pup, unsure of what he was stopping him for. Then his gaze met Yoko's and he gave a soft sort of smile as he could almost read the jealousy there in the others eyes. He reached up to wrap his arms around his twin and snuggled him before looking to Keiji for help. He would let Yoko have his way which meant that someone else had to get the baby from his pen.

The angel nodded, seeming to understand as he got up to his feet going over to fetch Vishal himself. He scooped him up and instantly the boy went quiet, pleased that he had been picked up. He snuggled against the angel, petting his blond hair happily, "Your to cute." He said, picking up the shirt and helped Vishal into it. The boy looked down at it, flapping his arms and then set to picking at the shirt in a confused sort of way. Why was he wearing this, "You want to stay warm right?"

He looked up at him, he supposed so. He drew his legs up under the edge of the of the shirt then drew his arms in looking for a moment much like a turtle ducking into its shell, then he gave a giggle deciding that he liked the shirt for hiding in.

"So cute!" Keiji said, wings a flutter as he snuggled on the baby.

Shin rolled his eyes, the baby definately had Keiji wrapped didn't he...

Keiji was sitting on the couch with the baby sitting on his lap, he was reading to him quietly out of one of the books that Shin had on hand about some of the various monsters that the man had to deal with. It was more like a book that describe them, their habits, where they lived, what they ate, and things like that instead of the ways to kill them. That was another book all together and not one that he was going to bring to the boy to look at. There were a lot of pictures in the book and it held the boy Godlings interest completely. He lifted his hands, flapping them wildly as he looked over one of them monsters, a Sphynx.

"She is a pretty one isn't?" Keiji asked, reading over the description then laughed, "She likes riddles it says."

Vishal gave a happy sound, thumping his hands against the page before petting over the long, dark hair that the beastial woman had falling far passed her shoulders. Keiji was right, she was a pretty one.

Both Keiji and Vishal's attention was drawn from the book that they were reading over to Shin who had given a choked sound when he heard them talking, as if embaressed over something, "Don't tell me that you...? You know." Keiji asked, that was so sad... he'd killed the pretty Sphynx woman?

Shin crossed his arms over his chest, "No, no I didn't." He muttered, "I wasn't... and she... I don't like her ok. I don't like her and I don't like dealing with her." The Sphynx was a confusing monster. She was like the Manticore with the face of a human but on top of that she had the same intelligence and she could talk. It wasn't like with parrots either, she spoke and she spoke well. On top of that she had those damned riddles of her, she'd made a deal with him. If he could answer her riddle she would let him take her head with no fighting back. The problem was if he couldn't answer the riddle right then he couldn't come hunting her again, had to leave her be to do what she desired.

The fact that she was still alive and kicking spoke volumes about what had happened.

Keiji gave a little laugh, "I see." He murmured, "Any others that you can't deal with because of things like that."

"Not that many." He said, walking over to plop down on the couch, "You seem to be doing rather well playing Mom to this one."

Keiji's wings fluffed up, eyes narrowing a bit, "W-What?!"

"A mother, to Vishal. You seem to be doing well at it. Are you as good at it with the other two when I am not around?" He asked, crossing his arms behind his head and ignored the grummbling and glares that he was getting from Vishal.

The Godling was twitching and growling, damn it! Bad Guardian! The angel was playing with him, reading about the cool monsters in the book with him! And Shin had to come over and ruin it for him! He gave a yowling sound, flailing out at him. He wished that he had some claws like the ones in this book he would show Shin who was boss then, "Rawrawr!" He snarled, attempting so hard to be scary enough to chase off the hunter.

Instead Shin starred down at him... and started to laugh his a** off, "Ahhh, Vishal. Your far to amusing you know that right?" He reached over to ruffle his hair, then ended up with a small and angry critter hanging off of his hand snarling and gnawing at his hand, "Thats only going to stand until you get teeth you know that right? First time you bite with teeth your going to find youself in that pen of yours until your old enough, big enough to get out of it on your own."

Vishal's eyes narrowed, and he bit down harder as if to show his guardian what he thought of his threats.

"Thats it..."

"No! No... Its ok. I will deal with him." Keiji said, wrapping his arms and wings around the bitey child. Vishal blinked and instantly he was releasing Shin's hand so that he could instead turn his attention to those pretty, feathery wings that were in front of his face. He went from snarling to squealing in delight in a snap.

"You really are a mother." Shin said, getting up and walk away from them, shaking his hand. Damn but that had hurt a bit. What a little brat, he'd best keep a damn good eye on him or he was going to grow up spoiled with a 'mother' like Keiji...

Keiji had laid out a thick, warm blanket on the floor for Vishal before he laid out a bunch of the boys seemingly indestructatable toys before he laid the boy down on his belly so that he could play. Vishal lay there for a moment looking at the toys that lay before him before reaching out for his favorite among them, his rattle. He gave it a hard shake so that the red spheres inside of it rattled about before coming to rest once more. He grinned and brought it to his mouth to gnaw at it while he watched his angel as he walked around, cleaning up the main room of the house. He wondered on why he was bothering to do that when Keiji should instead be over here playing with him. Oh well, not everyone was as smart as he was when it came to what they should be doing as opposed to what they did instead. A shame.

He gave the rattle another shake, pausing as Keiji walked by and he found himself watching his legs closely. His eyes narrowed some, watching him closely. Lets see now, it didn't really seem all that hard now did it? He should be able to do that so why was it that he was still stuck down here on his floor, on his belly like one of those snakes at the zoo! He should be able to move about as he wanted blast it! He tossed his rattle aside then tucked his arms up under himself to try to push himself up to his feet... it didn't seem to work though did it? He was able to get up to his elbows though so he should feel accomplished, he didn't though. He would feel that way only when he was able to get to moving around. After all if Dia was able to do it then there was nothing stopping him! He pushed, heaved, huffed, and generally made a lot of angry noises before he rolled himself over onto his back. He lay there, panting. He was starring up at the ceiling of the cabin, then gave a bit of a smirk. He'd done it! He was moving on his own!

He started to laugh happily, then squealed to the angel when he came walking by again. Keiji looked down at him, then tilted his head to the side before he knelt down next to the blond boy, "Vishal?" He murmured, reaching out to ruffle his two colored hair, "What are you up to?" Hadn't he left the boy on his belly he thought to himself. That only meant one thing! He had to of moved on his own hadn't he?

Vishal looked up at Keiji who looked upside down from the angle he was seeing him at, he reached out to him, making grabby hands. Keiji picked him up and gave a smile, "You trying to figure out the moving thing? You are gonna get up and walk away if I am not watching you closely, huh?" He said, grinning some. Well maybe not so quickly as that but it was something he was going to have to keep an eye out for wasn't it? He didn't want for Vishal to roll off and hurt himself or anything. Keiji gave the little God a snuggle before setting him back down on the blanket, "Try not to roll off the blanket, the floor isn't nearly as comfortable ok?"

The boy wasn't listening though, instead he was back to trying to roll himself again. He meant to figure this out so that next time he could show it off to Dia if he were to cross paths with the boy again. He was an interesting boy that was for sure, he wasn't exactly sure on what he thought of him, he was rather affectionate wasn't he? Affection from family he could understand but not so much from strangers, it made little sense to him. Between that and the biting made Vishal a little confused on whether the other kid liked him or not. He would see when he met up with him again he figured.

Vishal gave a grummbling sound then made himself roll again, laiding on his side this time and starred off around the room from this position. Wait... what was that under the cabinet he thought to himself idly seeming... something almost sticking out from under it. He was then trying to roll again to get closer to the cabinet and the strange object. It took him several tries and a great deal of time to get close enough so that he could dig around under it. He gave a squeak as he reached under and grab hold of what was under there, dragging out what looked like... some sort of a horn. Maybe it was shoved under there for storage? He looked it over then gave a squealing sound and started to beat it against the floor. Horn on wooden floor made a loud enough noise that Keiji who was working on dishes glanced over at Vishal to find him over there, far from where he'd been left to begin with. He rushed up to scoop him up and took the horn away, "No! No... icky. That is dirty Vishal."

The boy's eyes narrowed, displeased that the horn was taken away from him. Hey! The angel wasn't allowed to take away what was his!

"Its all dirty and besides, your far to little to be playing with things like this. Its dangerous what if you poked yourself on it?" He asked, then set Vishal in his pen, gathering the toys to hope that one of them would make it up to the boy that he'd had take away the horn. From the looks on the boy's face he was about to go into one of his yowling fits which ended when he got what he wanted or was distracted by something equally as good... Luckily for the angel it seemed the latter of the two happened when the rattle was set in the pen along side of him. Vishal picked it up and wielded it against Keiji, flailing it at him a moment and gave a growling sound before he went back to gnawing at it.

Keiji shook his head, "So long as you are safe I suppose I can deal with you being grummbly." He told him, walking over to put the horn way up high on the top of the cabinet it had once been under, "There we go, out of reach."

Vishal watched him closely, making a note of where the horn had gone and promised himself that he would get it again.

Part One: Crsh! Gulp!

Vishal was happily working the rattle that he was holding in his hands, gumming at the thing hadn't seemed to help when it came to getting into it, he couldn't get at the red beads that were inside of the thing. It seemed like a task doomed to failure, or at least that was how it seemed to be when he first started to try. There was something else though, something had been happening of late that Vishal couldn't describe but was very pleased with, he was teething. The teeth as they came in were much more useful then anything a person or Godling could have hoped for. He was able to use them to leave marks in the surface of his rattle, he was sure that if he bit at it enough he would be able to get through the plastic outside and to those red, yummy looking beads that were on the inside. He just had to work at the task at hand until he suceeded. His eyes lifted up to watch as his favorite person cooked, his red eyes were watching the blue stripped wings that were fluttering about. Such pretty looking wings, rather mesmerizing to watch as they moved. They even dropped a feather now and again, one of which he had tried to eat but wasn't allowed to. No fun at all honestly, they thought him so young and weak tha he couldn't even eat something as small and weak as a feather? Hmph.

Keiji turned to look over his head at Vishal, maybe to make sure that he was still within his pen instead of running off again. He felt bad having to lock him up but the rolling was a skill that he was starting to become to good at, it worried the angel. He didn't want for him to get hurt or get into things that weren't his to play with. The last thing that Keiji wanted was for the Godling to get into something of Shin's or even worse something of Yoko's. He gave the boy a smile when he saw that all Vishal was doing was attacking his rattle as usual. There was a look of curiousity in Keiji's eyes, he wondered what it was about that particular toy that held the boy's interest. What was it that made him want only to play with that toy in particular and nothing else for most of the time, "Is that a good rattle?" He asked, kneeling down in front of the pen.

Vishal looked up at him, rattle stuffed into his mouth, the stick of it hanging out of his mouth. He tilted his head to the side then gave a grummbling sound from around what was in his mouth. Keiji couldn't help but laugh, he looked rather amusing and sounded it to trying to talk like that, "Your an odd little thing aren't you Vishal?" The angel pushed up to his feet once more, "Food is almost done which of course means that they are gonna be showing up."

Almost as if summoned by his words the twins suddenly burst through the door, then slammed it closed giggling, "Ah! Hey? Angel. Is the food done yet?" Yoko demanded of the angel as he walked over to look in the pots that were sitting on the stove, lifting up the covers from them to look inside to see what was there to be had. He set it down then peeked into the over, "Huh, doesn't look half bad now does it?"

Tsukiko shook his head then walked over to the pen, looking inside and waved at the little boy inside of the pen. He gave him a grin then looked over to Keiji.

"Can you and Yoko set the table? Shin sent word that he isn't going to be home tonight so its just the four of us." He told them.

Yoko and Tsu looked at one another before they nodded and set to work on gathering the needed dishes and laid them out on the table. Places for the three of them were set out, a plate, a cup, and a fork each. Tsu looked over at the baby God before going over to Keiji, tugging on the angel's sleeve before he pointed over at the little one as if to ask what it was that he was to do. The angel looked over at Vishal then tilted his head in thought, "If you can get him a plastic up, a spoon, and a bowl and set it at my place he can sit on my lap while he eats." He said. He moved to start to dish up the food onto the plates and into the bowl after Tsukiko got the baby's dishes set out on the table.

"Does everything look good?" Keiji asked, looking the table over. He then turned around and went over to where the Godling was sitting. The little one gaze up at him then there was suddenly a crackling sound and then a loud CRUNCH. Keiji's eyes went huge as the Vishal leaned forward, spitting out the shards of plastic from the rattle and some spots of blood and starred down at the pieces in front of him. Keiji moved but not fast enough as suddenly the Godling picked up two handfuls of the red spheres and stuffed them in his mouth... and swallowed.

"VISHAL!" Keiji shreiked, scooping him up into his arms and instantly reached into the baby's mouth to see if he could fish anything out that he had put in his mouth, no such luck... he eaten those red spheres. Not only that but he had cut up his mouth when he bit through the rattle, how had he bitten through it he thought frantically. Vishal gave an angry sound when Keiji put his fingers in his mouth, warning him that he wasn't going to have this and to move them. He didn't though, kept fishing around trying to... do something? So Vishal did what came to mind first, he bit down.

A sound of pain escaped from the angel's lips as sharp Vishal teeth sank into his fingers, cutting into them, "Vishal! Let go!" He ordered, had it been anyone else he would have ignored them, maybe even bit down harder but since it was the angel... he found himself letting go. Keiji pulled his fingers free from the boy's mouth, red streaming from the wounds, "Ow..." He murmured, wincing in pain.

Tsukiko ran over, looking rather in show over all that had happened in such a short time.

"Tsu, here." He said, handing off Vishal while he went to the kitchen to fetch a towel, holding it out to Yoko, "Tie this around my fingers for me?"

The demon pup nodded and instantly complied, mostly because he wasn't sure what else to do at the moment. The moment it was done though he hurried over to grab hold of Vishal by his shirt, snarling at him, "You little b*****d! You stay away from my brother!" He said moving to drop him into his pen, "You stay there!" He didn't trust him, if he would bite open Keiji who babied him who was to say he wouldn't eat his brother?! He wouldn't allow it.

"Don't, its not his fault. Just need the first aid kit is all." He said, motioning to where it was kept in Shin's room." He said, sitting down in his seat, "I will wrap it and then I will take Vishal to the hospital." He was worried, less about his own wounds as he had many scars on his person though they were always hidden by his clothing, and more for the boy. He'd swallowed those beads! He needed to be looked at, to get them out! What if they made his sick? What if they hurt him? And his mouth! He'd bitten down on plastic and shattered it, what if he cut up his mouth real bad? Keiji's blue eyes got teary just from the thought that the baby could be hurt.

Tsukiko gave the angel a worried look before he nodded and ran ahead to get the first aid kit.

Part Two: Empty House

Aside from Shin there were now four other boys living in the small house. They were loud, they were messy, and they were an all around general nuisiance if you asked the hunter. They had disrupted his life since their arrival into his care and he was always complaining about how things were better when they weren't there. So you would think that when he was heading towards the house and from a distance it looked empty, all the lights out a lot earlier then the brats normally went to bed he woudl feel relief as if thinking: Finally, they are gone and I have my house and life back to myself. That wasn't it at all though, instead he froze in his tracks starring at the place. First thing of course to run through his mind were all of the things that could have happened. All of his kids came with dark passeds, things that they were in danger of, more so because the were living together. Demons, an angel, and a little Godling all living in a semi happy if at least not attacking one another constantly manner.

He broke free of the hold that seemed to be over him and ran forward towards the small house, all but throwing the door open. The heavy door hit against the wall behind it and bounced back to close but Shin was already inside so he gave it no heed, "Keiji? Tsu? Yoko?" He called, looking around the main room of the house. Dinner was sitting on the table, cold and untouched. They had been in the middle of dinner when whatever had happened had transpired. He took another step forward and nearly slipped, he looked down seeing something wet on the floor so he moved to turn a light on. Blood? His eyes went huge, blood? Who's blood was that? He set to searching around, the pen first but there was no sign of Vishal either though his rattle sat in the bottom of his pen, shattered.

He felt his heart racing so hard that it almost hurt as he tried to find something, anything that would point to where his charges had disapeared to, he pushed the door of his room open and he found the first aid kit sitting on the bed, open as if someone had been fishing through it to get things out of it that were needed. Wait, blood and a first aid kit... ok. Then someone had been hurt but it wasn't an attack on his house or his children, what then... what had happened...? He looked closed the first aid kit and turned to go out when something caught his eye, something out of place. He walked over to pick up a sheet of paper and read it over, the writing was messy and a few of the letters were backwards along with some rather odd spelling. This had to be Tsu's doing.

'We had to goed to the hopsitel. Vishy swalloed sum beeds and he bitted Kei's hand.' It was a simple and short note, he felt himself steaming. So the little Godling brat had been the one to break open his rattle? Then he swallowed what was inside of it? That all he could have dealt with better then the idea that he had bitten Keiji, why had he done that? Wait... His eyes went huge as something in his mind finally clicked putting two and two together. The blood on the floor was Keiji's blood...

He crummpled the note up, throwing it aside and moved to grab some money out of the stash that he had hidden knowing that there would be hospital bills that needed paid when he got there. After that, after he figured out exactly what had happened he would deal with Vishal. He wasn't going to have the little brat in his house if he thought that it was alright to go around mauling his housemates! He should have known that a Monster God would be nothing but trouble!

The lights were turned back off and he rushed out of the house, door slammed closed once again as Shin ran off through the night to the nearest hospital hoping that it was the one that he boys went too...

Part Three: Hospital Room Four

"...and thats about all that I can do for him. Really it will be best if you just wait for the beads that he ate to pass." The doctor was saying, they were looking over an x-ray and there were no sign of any plastic shards being in the boy's belly. All it would seem he had eaten were the red beads that had been inside of the rattle and nothing else much to the relief of the angel. He had known what he was doing when he ate them, as for his mouth it would seem that any cuts that were inside of them were already closed up and not bleeding anymore from what the doctor had said. The man had done the looking the smart way using a metal tool to open Vishal's mouth with so he could see inside. The baby had been snarling and yowling at them the entire time but not fighting all that much with them, "Now as for those teeth of his... I would see about taking him to a dentist." The man said. They were rather sharp and like nothing he'd seen in a baby before.

"Let them pass?" Keiji asked, tilting his head to the side.

Tsu and Yoko looked over at each other then started to giggle, apparently the angel was a little lost but the two of them knew exactly what the doctor had met, "It means going to the bathroom." Tsu whispered to the angel, though saying it only had him and his twin giggling that much more.

Keiji looked at them as if he didn't quite believe what they were saying, then upon looking at the doctor who nodded his cheeks pinked, "And... that won't hurt him?"

"I doubt it. The sphere aren't sharp or anything, they should pass just fine." He assured him.

Keiji looked over to where the boy was sitting on the bed, playing with the blankets on the bed seeming to be oblivious to the fact that anything was wrong or could have gone wrong. After all he'd gotten what he wanted which was to break open and eat what was inside. They didn't taste all that good though did they? Not at all like the candy that they looked like, just... tasteless. It was a disapointment. The other stuff was good, the red goo that the doctor had brought to him. He reached over to the bowl to pick up another cube of wobbling Jell-O and popped into his mouth.

He was chewing on it when he realized that eyes were on him, he lifted his gaze over to look at the twins. His eyes narrowed and he gave a growl, what in the world were they starring at? Yoko stuck his tongue out at the little Godling then made a face at him before laughing in amusement. Tsu lifted a hand to rub his forehead, shaking his head, "Yoko... Stop teasing Vishal." He said, there were days his twin could be so childish. Not that it would seem that Tsu was really paying attention to the fact that Yoko WAS a child as it wasn't important to the thought process.

"Now, I will need to call you parents so that I can get any insurance information." The doctor was saying.

"Huh? We don't have parents." Tsu pipped up.

The doctor turned around to look at him, "Excuse me?" He asked.

Tsu opened his mouth to say it again but got elbowed in the side by his twin, "Umph, what was that for?"

Keiji rolled his eyes, "We left a note for our guardian so when he gets home from work he would be here." He said, not wanting for the guy to get the wrong idea. Leave it to little kids to try to make things sound worse then they were, "I am sure he will be here at anytime now." He gave the twins a look that made both of them sit quietly not wanting to get in trouble. They listened well enough when Shin wasn't around to see it, they didn't want to weak around him maybe?

The doctor looked back and forth between the twins and the angel before he finally nodded his head, "Alright. I will keep an eye out for him. What does he look like?"

"Rather like him." Tsu said, then him and Yoko started to giggle. Only for a moment though as the Hunter came into the room looking rather pissed off. So both went utterly silent.

Keiji pushed up to his feet, "Ah! Shin... your here." He murmured.

"Yeah. I'm here." He said, sounding as angry as he looked.

Part Four: A Stir of Emotions

The doctor was a smart man, a very smart man after all he'd gone through how many years of college to get to be where he was today? So upon seeing the very angry Shin he seemed to vanish from the room and out of sight. That left the four boys there in front of the hunter along, silence reigned over the place and nobody seemed to be daring enough to say a word because they knew that it would just cause the incoming flood to be coming in that much faster. Shin had his arms crossed over his chest, his eyes were narrowed upon Vishal and it was then that someone moved, Keiji.

"It wasn't his fault!" He said, holding his hands in front of himself in a defensive sort of way. Not protecting himself but instead the one that he was now standing in front of. He gave Shin a look, "You can't blame him for it he is only a baby!"

Shin took a step forward, reaching out to grab hold of the angel's wrist and lifted his hand up to look it over. The fingers that had been chomped down on were wrapped up in bandages so he couldn't really assess the damage very well.

"I had them looked at by the doctor, they are going to be fine I just have to clean them out, use antibiotics, and keep them wrapped for a while until they are healed up enough to go without the bandages." He said quickly, "Its my fault I didn't know... well I knew he had teeth but I didn't know that he could break open his rattle, I didn't think that he would eat the spheres inside of it!" His voice was rushed, his wings were shaking as if he were on trial and trying to defend himself. A situation that he had gone through before once and had lost, hence his now being a fallen angel.

"I don't like this in the least bit, he could have hurt you and your so ready to jump in between him and I." Shin said, eyes narrowing and looking over the angel's shoulder to look at Vishal.

"K-Keiji was trying to f-fish plastic shards out of his mouth." Tsu said, reaching up to catch hold of Shin's coat and tugged to get his attention, "V-Vishy bitted down on it and it shattered in his mouth."

Yoko gave a silent growl, hopping up to grab hold of Tsukiko's arm and pulled him back away from the hunter. It would seem as the silver haired pup wasn't to pleased with his brother going off and defending the little brat as he was. It was bad enough that Keiji was but then again angels were stupid like that in their defending of things. That his brother would be as bad had him rather twitchy. For the first time though in... well ever Tsu jerked away from Yoko not giving into his demands. He instead turned back to Shin, "Keiji is a good Mommy! Can't be mad at him!"

Keiji gave a groan and his face turned a rather bright pink which he tried to hide with his wings, Yoko nearly choked lifting a hand up to smack it against his forehead in exasperation, and Shin paused his anger seeming to diminish somewhat as he heard the boys words and he lifted a hand to his mouth to try to smother a laugh. Between the words and the look upon the angel's face he was having a hard time hold onto to anger at the Monster Godling, "I suppose he is just that, to good maybe. He needs to learn that some things can hurt him."

"Vishal won't hurt me, didn't mean to hurt me! He's just a baby!" Keiji said, moving his wings so that he could go back to defending the little one again.

Vishal was silent as everything was going on in front of him, watching on and listening to what was being said in a confused sort of way. He didn't understand, why was everyone fighting? He tilted his head to the side, lifting his hands up to scrub at his eyes a moment then looked confused down at the hands... he had dealt with indignation before at some things people had put him through. He had done anger when things didn't go his way, yowled even when he was stuck in his pen but he didn't understand what he was currently feeling. Didn't understand why... why were his eyes leaking...? He gave a soft, whimpering sound reaching out and making grabby motions at Keiji, Keiji would make it better he always did when something didn't go the way that Vishal wanted it too.

Keiji looked over his shoulder before turning around, sighing as he moved over to pick the boy up and snuggled him close, "You made him cry Shin!"

Shin gave a studdering, shocked sort of sound, "W-What!?"

"If you didn't come in here all angry and complaining, you have a scary face when your in a bad mood." He said, giving him a look before he wrapped his wings around the baby in his arms to sooth him.

Shin looked over at the twins for help... then gave a groan, "I see, you all team up against me." He muttered, trying to sound angry but couldn't pull it off, "Damn bunch of brats the lot of you."

"So... your not gonna toss him out in the snow?" Tsu asked cautiously.

"Bah, when have I ever done that yet?" He asked.

"True." He often threatened each and everyone of them with getting tossed out the door for various things but he'd yet to do anything about anything, he was all threats and didn't carry out anything that he threatened.

"Brats. I am surrounded by a housefull of brats." He shook his head, "You get ready to go. I will go talk everything out with the doctor and get the bill." He gave a wave of his hand and headed out.

Keiji gave a sigh of relief and plopped back on the bed, he'd not thought that would go as well as it had...

Late Night Shift

It had been a quiet night after getting home, Keiji was curled up on the sofa with Vishal laying on his chest. The little one seemed to have no idea of the trouble that he had been in or about the trouble he had gotten out of with the help of Keiji and Tsukiko. The twins had been in charge of cleaning up the uneaten food as instead they had ended up eating out for dinner after leaving the hospital. Pizza and Vishal had been grouchy until he had gotten what he wanted, some of the delicious food tha teveryone else was having. Shin decided that since he had teeth and could bite through a rattle he could surely eat solid food. And eat he had.

It wasn't long before the pair had been sleeping deeply on the couch and moved them, laying Vishal in his pen after it was all cleaned up and laid a blanket over him, Keiji was then put in the bed in the bedroom to get some sleep. Shin had then found himself watching the sleeping Godling for a while, it was odd that he got such loyalty from Keiji and Tsu, he wondered if it were true emotions from them or if somehow the Godling had bewitched them, he would of course keep his eye on the boy. While a small part of him wanted to trust him and believe that he would grow up better then the things he was the God to he still wasn't all that sure despite what Keiji thought. He supposed that was why he was the one that was the 'father' and Keiji was the 'mother'. The mother got to see only the good in the kids while the father had to deal with their bratty sides, have to hand out punishment and the like. It was just part of life.

Shin had gone to crash on the floor in the bedroom on a pile of sleeping bags, finding it as rather easy to do being used to sleeping outside while on various jobs.

*****

Vishal woke up before the sun did the next morning, he was instantly in a bad mood upon his waking to as he found himself not only along in his pen without his Keiji but he was also sore all over, he shifted a bit but his muscles protested. It was the feeling as if he had been doing a lot of strenuous exercise which as he was just a baby wasn't possible. At the same time there were three points in his body that hurt more, sharper pains as if his skin were beings stretched out from the inside out. He didn't understand it, why he was hurting so much or how to stop it. So he did what he could, rolling over onto his stomach to get off on the painful points. Two of them were located on his back near to his shoulder blades while the third was near to his tailbone. He gave a growling, whining sound reaching out to the bars of his pen and started to squirm forward out from under his blankets to look around. It was dark still so he couldn't call for Keiji, he would be in the bedroom which was to far away and the door was closed too... where then...

He shifted more, rolling despite not wanting to do so and gave a loud, angry sound as he had to press the aching points on his back and backside down but he got to the otherside to look over at the twins. They were curled up on the bed that came out of their sofa, he looked them over then started to yell at them, calling for their help to come and get him out of the pen. Or better yet one of them could go and get Keiji!

Tsukiko shifted in his sleep hearing the sounds and he opened up his eyes, "Huh...?" He murmured. He blinked a couple times and then sat up, he still had the voice so it couldn't be that late... or early. He looked around then over to where Vishal was laying on his belly, yelling at him. He turned his ears forward then crawled out of the bed, towards him, "Vishy? What is it?" He asked, kneeling down in front of the pen to look him over. He then lifted his hands up to rub at his eyes, "Hrm? You look bigger Vishy." He told him.

Vishal didn't much care, instead he made grabby hands at Tsukiko demanding that he be picked up and out of the pen he was in so that he could be brought to Keiji.

"Supposed to be sleep Vishy, its still dark out." He told him, reaching down into the pen to lift him up. Vishal gave a howl of pain hands lifting up to catch hold of Tsu's shoulders and pulled himself up and into a more comfortable position where the boy's hands were touching those points on his back. He then leaned into him and pointed at Keiji's door. He wanted the one with the wings!

"No, no Vishy. Keiji and Shin are sleeping. We can go and see them in the morning though. Come sleep with me and Yoko." He said walking over to the couch and crawled up onto it laying the baby between himself and his twin. Tsu curled up with the boy and while he wanted nothing more then to yell until he got what he wanted he supposed that laying with the twins wasn't as bad as sleeping alone... he gave a grummbling sound and looked at Tsu, scooting so that he was closer to him then to Yoko. He let his eyes close and after getting comfortable on his belly he was sleeping again though a bit restlessly.

Odd Lumps

A set of blue eyes met a set of silver eyes in a prolonged glarring contest, it was force of will that made it so that neither of the two blinked when they really wanted too. Instead they just... starred. Then growled at each other, "What in the name of Hell are you doing here!" Yoko snapped, sitting up instantly and jerked back away from the darkskinned monster that was laying next to him. His ears lay back and his tail was flicking back and forth in an angry manner, "You anwer me! And what are you doing near him!" He pointed at Tsu who had been sleeping still until Yoko started his barking.

Vishal glared up at Yoko giving a grunting sound at him, then squirmed back as if he were going to cuddle up to Tsukiko just to spite him... a bad idea though as just as he did that his three sore spots were pressed against Tsukiko's front causing the Monster Godling to let out a howl of pain and jerked away from Tsu. Yoko mistook it as an attacked and jerked back away from the toddler as he didn't want to get bitten by those teeth that had ripped open Keiji's fingers. There was a 'THUD' as the puppy fell off the couch bed in his escape landing on his back followed by an angry growling sound, "Hurt you..." He muttered, sitting up to glare over the side of the bed, then blinked. Vishal's attention was no longer on him, instead he was seeming to be trying to reach around his back to claw at the odd lumps that were protruding from his back, "I didn't do it!" Instantly wanting to make sure that it was well known that he had nothing to do with the deformed lumps the brat had.

Tsukiko pushed to sitting up and caught hold of Vishal's hands before he could do any damage to himself and leaned close so that he could look the lumps over. How... odd. It looked like... well he wasn't sure what. Lumps of some sort, he didn't dare to touch them. If they were hurting Vishal then touching them would only lead to him getting bitten he was sure. He looked over to his brother a look of worry in his eyes. He wasn't sure what was going on or what was wrong with Vishal but they had to help the poor baby!

"What... no! No! I don't wanna!" Yoko said, shaking his head rapidly. He didn't wany anything to do with him! He wanted the brat to be back in his pen where he belonged and far out of the range he would need to bite on either himself or his twin! He met Tsu's gaze, attempted his best to hold onto his anger before he growled, ears laying back, "I don't want to help him, don't even like him..." He said again, hoping that he would get it if he repeated it again. Not that his dislike of Vishal wasn't something he voiced often enough when he could do so. It seemed though that Yoko was going to lose this arguement as Tsu was still starring at him, waiting expectantly.

"Ugh! Fine! What is it that I am supposed to do with the brat?" He asked, watching Tsu as the boy pointed over at the freezer, "Ahh! Ice?" He supposed that was the best way to deal with pain, slap some ice on it. It was simple to which meant that he really wasn't helping Vishal out all that much. He hopped up and hurried over to the freezer and looked inside, ears turning forward. Huh, no ice... well... there was one time when he and Tsu were messing around outside and he'd ended up falling out of a tree that Keiji had used a bag of peas instead of ice... Yoko dug around in the freezer for a moment before grabbing what he needed out. He then returned to hop up on the bed, sit down next to his brother. He crunched up the bag some to break apart the frozen peas and slapped them on the Godling's back.

Vishal gave an angry, snarling sound and attempted for a moment to snap at Yoko's fingers... then gave up with a grunt as he realized that first off he wasn't going to get ahold of them, secondly it would no doubt be a bad idea to bite someone again so soon, and the third and most important thing was that the peas on those points of his back were actually helping. He gave a sound sort of like a purr to show his contentment before letting his eyes close. This would work, it made the ache go away and he felt for a moment well as if the pain would pass. Good, that wasn't a pleasent feeling and he didn't much want for it to continue.

"So... what do you think we should do next?" Yoko asked of Tsu, he would be happy if they could just dump the kid and his lumps off on Keiji or Shin, they were older so that was their job to deal with the little brat's problem.

Tsu tilted his head to the side, chewing on his lip before pointing at Vishal. He had a third lump? Yoko blinked then gave a grummbling, returning back to the freezer this time fetching a bag of corn to toss on the lump on the boy's tail bone, "He's rather weird isn't he? Where do you think he got those?" Maybe he got bit by a really big bug? That would serve him right for biting others! Ah... NOT tha the was defending Keiji or anything, the only one he hated more then Vishal was Keiji! Stupid, annoying, know it all angel drove him up the wall.

"Ok, is that all of the brat's lumps?" He asked.

Tsu nodded then laid back down next to the Godling, eyes closing.

Yoko gave a grummble, so they were done that was it? Nothing more then a couple bags of vegetables and then they went back to sleep? Yoko flopped back down on the bed, that sounded like a damn good idea to him. He wasn't much up for taking anymore care of Vishal then that, it would start to make people think he cared about the brat or something... Which he DIDN'T!

Keiji's Confusion

Vishal was sitting upright, something that he had just figured out to do and was quite proud of himself for the accomplishment, and leaning slightly forward so as not to be sitting on the lump that he had on his tailbone as it was aching something fierce. His large, red eyes watched the twins as they slept but he made no move to wake them, in fact it would seem as if he were doing his best NOT to wake them... instead he was being very quiet, very careful as he went about his motions of dragging over to him one of the bags that had been rest on his lumps. He looked it over, unable to read but the picture on the front was of something familiar. Peas! He shook the bag until he realized that the bag wasn't going to give them up that easily he then bit into the back, tugging back. There was a stretching and tearing of the thin plastic bag and then the peas were all his for the taking, and take he did. A massive handful was stuffed into his mouth and he set to chewing, food was so much better when he got it by himself he decided. His gaze went over to the other bag, the one with the yellow picture on the front. Corn he knew that one to be. The same thing was done to the second bag so that he could get into that as well, munching away at the treasures that were all his for the taking. After all there was nobody around to stop him! The corn and peas belonged to Vishal!

Keiji was... confused. No... confused wasn't enough to explain what he was feeling at the moment. He was looking at Vishal, at least he was pretty sure it was him after all who else in the family had skin and hair like that? But it wasn't the same Vishal that he had put to bed earlier he was bigger! The angel took a couple steps forward so that he could get a better look at him, looking him over closely. Even passed the fact that he was bigger there were many other things that had thrown the poor angel's mind a whirling. First off how was it that he had gone from his pen to the couch bed when the twins were asleep? Did that mean that he was climbing already? Well it would have to be climbing, crawling, and... No! No even if he could do all of that it wouldn't explain how in the world he had gotten into the freezer so that could ahold the vegetables that he was currently making a meal of... and if he could get into the freezer why would he table corn and peas when he could get at the meat that was stored in there? He scratched the back of his head, nevermind. The thinking was doing nothing but causing his head to start to ache.

He knelt down next to the bed, "Hello there Vishal, you look like you were very hungry." He said, looking over the torn open bags of vegetables they both looked to be about half gone which meant that he had been eating on them for a while... or taking massive bites. Either way he was pretty sure that he had enough, "Here, give me those you don't want to make yourself sick do you? How about I make you something better? Some bread would be good." He said, it would help to settle the boy's stomach if the vegetables made it ache from eating so many of them at once.

Vishal blinked at the arrival of the angel, the one that he had been waiting SO LONG for, he was little so any time seemed liked forever so a few hours was awful! Complete Hell! He gave a pointy toothed smile and gave a wave, "Kyaa!" He said, patting the bags of veggies, managing to grab a last handful of the peas before they were taken away, stuffing them into his mouth so that they couldn't be taken away. He followed the angel with his eyes as Keiji made his way over to the freezer and replaced the bags into it. He then was making grabbing hand, demanding of the angel that he be picked up off the bed. Once Keiji picked him up the angel was sure to see his lumps and he would then make them all better! Vishal was quite sure of it, was waiting all night just for the angel because he always made things better!

Keiji scooped up the little Godling, giving him a snuggle... and sure enough as he looked down at the boy he was the odd lumps on his back, "What in the world...? Vishal what did you do to your back?" He carefully turned the boy around in his grasp to look them over, tilting his head to the side a thoughtful sort of look filling his eyes. His wings gave a flutter and it was on the tip of his tongue to ask Vishal of he were getting wings just from the placement of the lumps, then the thought was pushed aside. No, that didn't make any sense, animals when they were born had wings and Angels were the same way. There was no way a God would be born without their wings only to have them come in later like teeth did... Right?

"Naw." He said, then cuddled Vishal back to him, "How about we get your some more breakfast and then we will talk to Shin about what he thinks we should do about the lumps." Maybe he was having an allergic reaction to the plastic that he had swallowed and because of it he had gotten hives? It made more sense then his first guess. He carried the boy into the kitchen, sitting him down on the counter while he made them some toast, it should be fine for Vishal to sit there since the toaster was right next to him after all. Keiji started coffee as well knowing that Shin would want some when he woke up, cereal was dished up as well. The pups would smell the toast and be up and wanting food as well, best to have their breakfast waiting and ready or he would have to hear it from Yoko. NOT how he wanted to start the morning especially with as grumpy as the silver pup could be.

Angry Angel

Vishal was sitting on the table back at their place he had a cracker in hand and was gnawing at it as all around sat the siblings of the house, the twins were starring at him openly but as it was it was the snack that currently most interested him. In fact he didn't seem to even notice the fact that he had new appendages, he was just glad that all of the aching pain was gone the reason for why it was gone had yet to dawn upon him, "Nya?" He asked, looking between the two pups who were starring with wide eyed wonderment.

If was Yoko that finally said something, "Sooo... What did you do to it?" He turned to look at Keiji accusingly, as if the angel had some part in what had happened, "How did you mutate the little brat? Tell me? I want wings and a stinging tail too." His voice was quite demanding and the angel crossed his arms over his chest and gave a snort.

"Believe me, if you had to go through what poor Vishal did you wouldn't be saying that." The angel told him in a matter of fact sort of way.

"What did Vishal have to go through?" The door to the room opened up and Shin was coming through it, rubbing a hand against his eyes in a sleepy manner.

The angel gave a little jump, "Ah! It was nothing! Well... no, not nothing but nothing bad. At least I don't think it was bad he..."

Shin walked over to look Vishal over, taking in first the wings that was flapping out of synce from one another, and then the tail that was swishing back and forth awkwardly, "Huh... where have I see that before?" He murmured before picking Vishal up and looked him over as if studying him, "Hmm... no extra legs yet."

Keiji's eyes went HUGE at that, "What! You know? You knew! You could have told me what was going on instead of worrying me when he go those lumps on his back!" The angel all but shreiked at him causing the two pups to take in that much more avid interest. Mostly due to the fact that they figure they were going to get to see a cool fight in all of this. Their gazes went to Shin instantly, waiting for his come back.

"Knew of what he looked like in his passed life but NOT that he was going to suddenly manifest those features. When did this happen? Why didn't you wake me?" He demanded back of the angel.

"Well... thats the thing, I wasn't sure what to do so I called the lady from the number on the fridge." Keiji said.

"Your calling up people you don't know for advice when I was right in the other room? You left me to sleep and then what?" He asked, giving a huff.

The twins' tails set to wagging wildly, oh but this was better then anything that they could have hoped for, come on! More, more both were thinking as they rose up from their chairs as if to get a better view.

"It wasn't as if I asked to whisked away!" Keiji cried, wings fluffing up and stretching out wide as if he were trying to look bigger in his anger, "I told her about the lumps then a moment later I was somewhere else! Then a blonde and a hunter woman with big hair were telling me all of this stuff, showed me a picture of how he looked when was Deveus... and then the wings and the tail came in... It was... It wasn't planned!"

"None the less you still didn't tell me!"

"And you didn't warn me either! I take care of Vishal far more then you do but it seems like you have the information that is the most important! You knew that he had wings and a tail in his other life while I didn't! Did you know that he had a bunch of legs too? That he had horns!"

"Horns?" Shin looked a little confused and tried to think on that but couldn't recall seeing horns in his dream."

"Yes, horns. He had horns but he lost them in a fight. What happens when he gets his legs? His horns? What else will he be getting? I was told that I have to keep a good eye on him, to take good care of him since I have wings like he does and he will need to know how to use them." Keiji said, eyes narrowing, "I love Vishal as I love Yoko, Tsu, and even you! So next time something happens don't you go off barking at me when I do what is best for them!"

Shin looked a bit unsure now, silent too as he wasn't certain what to do when facing off against a rightceous angel...

Said angel walked over to pluck Vishal out of Shin's arms and stalked away from him, "We are going to get a nap." He said, the tone in his voice giving no room for arguement as he stalked off and slammed the door behind him. Right before he did Shin and the twins could hear Vishal give a sound that no doubt meant 'so there!' as then there was nothing else from them.

The twins though were rolling in laughter.

Shin gave them a glare then stalked off to plopped down on the couch, damn kids...

Bath Time

There was only so much water that could fit into a tub and yet it would seem that all of that water when splashed OUT of the tub there was... well so much more. The small bathroom was soaked and Keiji was dripping but grinning, his mood a little better then before when he had stomped off to close the two of them up in the bedroom. There was a door from the bedroom that went to the bathroom and then another door that went out into the main room though it was locked, "Your having a lot of fun aren't you?" Keiji asked of the boy. With the tail and wings as they were it was going to be a bit of a pain to get the clothing that Vishal needed, impossible really. He wondered if he were going to have to figure out the whole altering of clothing thing so that the boy could wear them easier. As if he wasn't teased enough... ahh well. He didn't mind figuring it out for the boy but he would make sure to keep it a secret that was for sure, sew at night when the pups were asleep.

Vishal lifted his red eyed gaze up and flapped his wings free of the water that clung to them before giving the angel a smile, looking so cute and innocent for a moment... then he was splashing about again with his hands and tail both. It would seem as if he were at least getting the feel for his new apendages and how to move them, how to use them to get the water spread out and about in the bathroom better then if he were just using his hands, "Ah! Haha!" Vishal said, pleased with the noise and mess he could make with the water and knew that it would be ok as really water wasn't all that bad. It was messy yes but it wasn't dirty and Keiji wasn't yelling about the water that was spread far and wide. Maybe because Keiji had been yelled out earlier due to the fight he had with Shin? The boy stopped his splashings at the knock on the door, turning to give it a dark glaring.

"What?" Keiji asked, looking over at the door as he flapped his feathered wings free of the water. Maybe they were being to long in the bathroom and someone needed to use it?

"Will you let me in or are you not talking to me still?" Came Shin's voice outside of the door.

Keiji looked over at the door for just a moment before looking away unsure about if he were wanting to talk to him, a part of him was rather embaressed over his earlier outburst even if he didn't think that he was in the wrong. Shin had over reacted, he'd only done what was for the best when it came to the Godling, he was scared for him with those lumps on his back and it turns out that it was for the best that he got ahold of those people. Keiji didn't think that he could have dealt with the emerging of the boy's wings all on his own, he was glad that the two women were there to help him. Had the wings and tail come in while he was alone he would have panicked or Vishal would have hurt himself...

"Keiji, please just let me in." Shin called through the door again and that brought Keiji out of his thoughts and he was looking up at the door again. He gave a glance at Vishal who was happily splashing before he rose to his feet and opened it up, "Why are you soaked?" Shin's first question of course being the most obvious one, then he looked passed the angel to the bathroom that had water clinging to everything. He blinked a couple times but his gaze then went to the suspect of the crime... and he got a good splash himself after stepping within range.

"He's... having a lot of fun." Keiji said in instant defense of the child.

"I can tell." Shin said, brushing the water off of himself best that he could before it soaked in. He walked over to get a few towels tossing one to Keiji, "I suppose I over reacted when you said you went to talk to Rouge. Its not about her though or about you, its about the fact that you and the twins and even Vishal all have people out there that don't like you, people that would hurt you and I don't like the idea of you wandering off without so much as telling me."

Keiji knelt down in front of the tub and scooped Vishal up out of the water, wrapping him up in the towel that he'd been handed and set to drying him off, "It was awful Shin, seeing wings and a tail rip free of Vishal's back.... but... Rouge and the other lady, the hunter Dartsmoore were there they explained what was going on and they helped, they gave him something to bite down on while he was screaming and while they were breaking through..." He clung to Vishal, face a bit pale.

Shin looked down at Keiji then knelt down next to the boy and stroked his damp hair, "I am sorry, I had no idea that it would happen even if I knew what he looked like before now." He told him, looking Vishal over, the boy's eyes were closed as he got his hair rubbed dry seeming almost to be purring in contentment over the treatment he was getting. He rather like Keiji, Shin knew this well. He wondered if the very base of the relationship was due to one being a God and one being an angel. He wondered it was what drew them together at first then allowed more to grow from there. If so maybe it was because Vishal was a Monster and Shin himself were a hunter of Monsters that they didn't have a very good relationship? He shook his head then rose to his feet, "I just want you to be more careful. Your taking care of Vishal a lot yes but that also means you have to be thinking about both of your, protecting both of you."

Keiji nodded as he got up to his feet the Godling wrapped up and resting against his chest, tail swishing under his towel, "I will do whatever is needed."

Shin pointed, "How about you two go and get a nap, I will finish cleaning up in here."

Keiji nodded his head before heading into the bedroom, he could get a clean shirt and diaper for Vishal while he was in there which would be good, get the boy nice and dressed and warm before they napped.
