This is a good day. I got my Clear Quartz Crystal Ball and Stand. I am going to buy another one with a wolf stand. I kinda want a blue crystal ball but I think I will stick to the classic design.

Mmm... Well.
I have my jade ankh that I wear constantly... But aside from that, I have a calcite sphere that is INCREDIBLY protective of me (without being blessed, at that).
Also, I have six-inch quartz crystal that I use...sometimes as a wand, and sometimes as a Gatekeeper. It's great for mending those pesky tears when a priestess decides to mess with your head and push someone out.

I have an amethyst crystal worked into the celtic knot necklace I have, and that never leaves my neck. I love it, and it hangs right at my throat chakra, I haven't had a sore throat since my mom and grandmother bought it for my birthday last year. ^-^

I found mine in Maine when I was nine. It's a big chunk about two pounds that I found when my family went mountain climbing. I still have it sitting next to my bed to this day.

I have a beat up old quartz that I've used for energy storage, but I'm not sure if I have a working crystal per se. I used to have a hematite ankh I adored, but the string broke on it, and well...yeah.
If I could, I would probably work well with a sapphire. It's always been my favorite, but it's so hard to get. crying

It depends on what I'm working on, to be honest. I have a lovely tapered flourite crystal that I use with my tarot cards; it simply helps me to focus in on the cards and provide a better reading. However, I think I've stored the crystal for so long witht he cards, it's hardly necessary any more. 4laugh
I have a large chunk of onyx that's a natural worry stone that I use when I need to remember things; there hasn't been a year out of the five I've spent in university that that stone hasn't come with me to an exam, quiz or midterm, and it's literally been a life saver! There's something wonderful about something warm and heavy in your hand that you can fiddle with when you're anxious or stuck. I find the stone to be very reassuring.
For just all around workings, I like malachite (I'm a scorpio, and it's one of my stone) or flourite.

I work best with sunstone. I have about three of them, and don't really discriminate in which one I use. As a Leo, it fits. I also use garnet for focusing and clear quartz for seeing.
And onyx has other tempering properties.

Naturally. wink That was a quick quote giving some of the more common. It also has uses the involve strengthing teeth and bones among other things.
