Being lost in the canyon for so long Anji must have come across the underground bugs that were searching for a meal. Being careful enough to stay off the ground was going to prove to be his misfortune. The misgolas that traveled underneath the brittle earth found prey through vibration. With not much vibration from the ground two misgolas had surfaced to seek out what food they could. Climbing on the canyon wall thye sensed the vibration from Anji's hops and scurried just below the surface. They would leap out and try and earn food that way, instead of causeing a hole in the ground. But if misgolas could hunt by sticking to the walls of the canyon why not stay that was just as much as being under ground. Another critter of the canyon was about to come to light.

((I figure since your character's intuation is 3, the same as this animal's stealth, a dice role is in order to see if Anji can aviod the attack. 1d6, highest wins. And of course the other ones can be seen sicne there sucky at this stealth thing. Take that misgolas!))

Just to the right of where Anji was looking a crack in the passage wall formed. A few seconds later it broke open, the crack and the rock surrounding it. From the whole that was made two rows of teeth emerged chomping a air. The animal, lizard looking at the moment, whiped its head side to side, exstending its body out of the whole it made. Had Anji not paused he certainly would have been injured. Not gaining anyhting from attacking the air the wall lizard pulled the rest of itself out and flopped on the ground. It was long and slender with pale green scales and only two front arms. What it lacked in limbs it more then made up for with teeth. The misgolas, who had mroe then missed their chance at food, stayed put waching the stand off between Anji andthe lizard. A meal could still be made of the loser. So ther Anji was caught between the teeth and pair of killer bugs.

"There's a pedometer in this puppet. I'll check later tonight, "Ibara replied Zenith. The three team members traveled along he same winding path for a good while. Until finally they came to a multiple fork. John had been leadingthem inthe right direction afterall. Not wanting to wait for a bug scouting report Ibara attached the specail equipment to Chyukai do and sent him down one path as an early scout. He asked Zenith to scout the other. And John was on lookout for anything in the area.

Without warning the lizard flapped its rounded stuby tail on the already broken ground and launched an attack at Anji. The Misgolas sitting in wait.

Wall Lizard A: unarmed attack (8+dice)

Anji grimaced as the lizard creatue burst out of the wall in an effort to eat him, teeth lashing out mere feet away from him before crashing shut where he would've been if not for him pausing briefly. He spun around to face the offending lizard, only to be met with the creature's tail, lashing out at him in an effort to stun him. Anji leapt sideways, skidding along the ground as the tail passed, only inches from his head. As he skidded he reached back into his belt pouch, grabbing hold of a particular kunai. He launched the kunai in the middle of his skidding motion, the blade speeding out towards the outstretched jaws of the lizard. The lizard, with its primitive mind, would never recognize the attached explosive note, or the threat it presented, until it was too late. As Anji came to a stop, crouched down, he watched to see how the lizard, still half buried in the canyon wall, would respond to his attack....

Ibara was too busy scouting with his puppet to reply to John. Instead he concentrated on what Chyukai-do was seeing and what it meant.

Primitive didn't mean unaware of danger. And prone to catching its food off guard meant that when it attacked a flight reaction was to be expected. It tried to duck back into its whole

Wall Lizard, Evade: (8+5= 13)

Acting on instinct the lizard rushed back into the whole it made and barely escaped the kunai, it digging into the wall of the hole. As for the note attached to it, whether that would kill it or not would remain unknown. The explosion it caused would seal up the hole, and break the surrounding rock. Of course with a loud 'BOOM!' Which was closest to Zenith's area of scouting.

The surge of bugs John sent out attracted a small band of Misgolas. After quickly catching and devouring the insects nearest them they looked to the humans standing still in this all too dangerous place. It was John's job at this point to stop them. Three of them went for the source of the bugs. While two made their way to Ibara's backside.

Misgola C, attack John: (4+3=7)

Anji growled softly as the lizard escaped back into the canyon wall, only to be sealed in by the explosive tag a moment later. He didn't know if the rock had shielded the creature or not, but he doubted it would come back for a second try after that. Sighing softly as he brushed the dust from the explosion off, he was surprised to sense someone else approaching from middair. He had picked up on the summoning jutsu, and watched as the strange lizard ran off for a moment before refocusing on the man before him. His hand had subconsciously found its way to his nagamaki's hilt, resting there as if waiting for an attack. "Not that it concerns you, but the name's Anji. Sand nin, genin rank." he gestured to his headband with his free hand before standing slowly, forcing both his hands to go to his sides so as to not seem as though he was trying to provoke a fight. "And who, might I ask, are you?" Though he was trying to be straightforward, he wasn't in a good mood thanks to his brush with the lizard thing. And to top things off, he couldn't get the thought out of his mind that this guy could also summon lizards and had shown up rather quickly, meaning this could potentially be a trap....

"Shut up." he replied, not feeling very hospitable at the moment. "It's not my fault that I was told to come this way. I'm just returning from a mission. I don't even know why I was told to take this godforsaken death trap of a route." It was clear to Zenith that the genin had been here for a while, what with the dusty condition of his outfit, not to mention little tears and marks where he had been attacked by the native population. And just as clear was the fact that Anji was tired of this place and wanted to get the hell out of there. Hell, even Konoha had been better than this. At least there he didn't have to worry about being eaten by giant lizards...

"First off, respect your elders. I don't care what you've gone through, I swear you new genin get pampered more and more each year. "Suck it the ******** up. My team is further back, if you want help getting out, then follow me. If not, have fun trying to get out." he grin coldly then ran back to his group.

What the hell are they doing sending a kid like that out here? Was the last thought pertaining to current events. His speed was even, just fast enough for the genin to keep up. Secretly hoping the genin wouldn't, last thing his team needed was someone else to worry about.
