lemon drop SURPRISE Well, I am a rabid kataang shipper. I think Zutara kinda might have gone a tad downward when Zuko joined azula.... and also, Aang would be really depressed, and even if they weren't in love, Katara would never do that to Aang. And also, just because Katara was gonna heal his scar does not mean that they would be in love. And I think Katara kind of used the oasis water for a better reason, because Aang was hit in the avatar state, and if he died, the avatar cycle would end. That's just what I think... Too true. It was a good thing that she did not use the water to heal zuko (who is still having personal issues, so that worked out well.), otherwise it really would have been the end of the series. The death of Aang the last air bender and ONLY avatar generation would destroy the main focus of the story. And Aang proves that he truly loved Katara b/c he had the strength to let her go. Although this was a sign of his love to her, this is also a sign that he might just have to face that type of situation later on in the future. I know I know. From what it looked at the end of the series, Aang and Katara are still stronger than ever, but you never know. This episode was an eye opener that they are still very young, and there are many cross roads in there lives where they will have to make a life altering decision, especially when facing reality. -Oh and it seems pretty obvious that Zuko is still not sure about what to do; so he might just do something to atone for his stupidity in the next season.

Look, Zutara's just never going to happen, and none of you can convince me otherwise. Katara just doesn't like Zuko, and even if he went good and joined them she would never fully trust him because of him hunting Aang and hating them for so long. Besides that, this is a show on Nickelodeon. The creators won't have all this Kataang build up just to have Katara and Zuko get together. They're not THAT cruel.

Hmm... I think Kataang sounds too... Easy?
There's no suspenseful "Omgosh... Didn't see that coming!" moment if Kataang happens. Zutara would also progress the storyline ... because it would require Aang to "Let go" of Katara for once.
Hem... Maybe that's how he'll finally learn to control the avatar state... XD
In my opinion, if Kataang were to happen, there could be no real plotline progression. Hang on, lemme restate that. If Kataang were to happen permenantly, there could be no longterm plotline progression. Who knows... maybe they will become "romantically involved" for a short amount of time, then something will occur and Zutara will happen.
Then both Kataang and Zutara fans will be happy. (?)

They wouldn't both be happy, and zutara is just too... Not plausible... I mean they might have some drama moment to change things, but zutara would just make things go weird... And it just doesn't seem... "happenable". This is my opinion:

does anyone else see a strong resemblence to to the taiora/sorato shippings in digmon?
digimon: a ton of hints for taiora,a few for sorato,and in the end its sorato.
avatar: a ton for kaatang,a few for zutara, and in the end we'll see.
i dunno maybe this is a dumb idea but... it could happen xd

I can think of pros and cons for both sides
(Pro Zutara and Con Kataang)
Pros:
-Zutara sounds much better than "Kataang"
-With his new hair, and misunderstood bad boyness, Katara just wouldn't be able to resist
-They DO have something in common, lots of stuff, just in a different way
-He was unsure when his sister declared him not-banished
-Zuko always comes back to Iro...always...always
-Zuko and Katara would make one shmexy baby
(and a cute couple themselves)
Cons:
-Aang is a frigging MONK!!! Monks can't pick upchicks in the first place(except for Nacho Libre...)
-he is twelve, and how old is Katara???14!!!! Thats like a freshman dating a sixth grader! Or a seventh grader dating a frshman(ewwwwwww)
-He already gave up Katara (It's like you guys haven't seen the most recent episode!)
-bald+long hair=unlikely couple

Well, I'm sort of a neutral person on this. I don't full-out support either, and I'd be happy with either happening.
I think, however, that Kataang is going to happen, simply because it's been pushed that Aang likes Katara from, literally, the first episode. It'd be very surprising if it didn't happen, especially since they're the lead male and lead female, and there is romantic interest (at least from Aang).
Aang's had no other significant interests (he's pretty much got blinders on for Katara), while Zuko's had MANY interests. Zuko is competing with Sokka for 'most fangirls inside Avatar universe'. (Mai, Jin, Song, and arguably Katara VS Yue, Suki, Ty Lee, and arguably Toph.)
I'd like Zutara to happen more just because I don't like relationships with no fire or passion. But, I don't think it's going to, or if it does, it's not going to be at the end of the series.

In the past I would have supported this idea but after Digimon season 1 and 2 I've learned that the lead male doesn't always get the lead female. Tai and Sora were pretty much the leads but in the second season it was confirmed that Sora and Yamato (Matt in the English version) were an item. Tai even confessed his feelings (well, sort of but enough for Sora to get the idea). It's because of that I'm leaning more towards Zutara.
