The auction had progressed slowly with slaves being bought for around the average prices of 3000 and up. Rose sank inside of her cage noticing how eager these people where to buy someone else's life away. The sensual girl she saw in the cell tightly binded had already been bought, so had the human male who had fought hard to keep his life. They had been purchased like that. She felt alone now... as if she was the only one who was not picked. High hopes of escaped dulled down while other miscellaneous slaves were bought off, and the time seemed to drag forever. It was then when that horrid man returned. It was that same monstrosity that had almost had his way with her before. Eagerly he rushed into the auctions after hearing the slave he had fancied was being sold due to her disobedience problem. That slave just so happened to be none other then Rose.

He walked in pushing past some of the bidders, a twinkle in his eye and a grin on his face as he spotted her sunken in the corner. An ill fate has befallen her indeed as the next name to be called was announced.

"Rose is now up for auction! Bring her quickly!" The two henchmen nodded and opened the cage. Her legs slide against the cage floor as she tried her hardest to avoid the large hands.

"No please! Stop-- please!" Not now! The man was watching. Anything but now, his eager expression made it clear that he wanted her. Everyday at the Midnight Hallow, he would make her do some immoral act and it was her he had his eye on. Now, only moments ago, she barely escaped him. If she was bought by such a horrid man, her hopes for freedom would just be a futile mistake.

The only one who put up a struggle in generations of the Hallow's creation... Rose clung to the cage. It was a bad decision. Reva had never looked so pissed and embarassed and in pure anger she pushed aside the guards with her whip braced in hand.

"Miserable wench!" The whip hit down, revealing a new flesh mark. The screams made it no better, and it seemed to entice the crowd. Reva maliciously whispered into Rose's ear as she got in reach. "You will NOT embarass me anymore now you will obey me now!" Grabbing her by her collar with brute force she tossed her onto the stage floor. The timid eyes couldn't bare to look up at her old capture, though her keen ears picked up the dialouge amongst the crowd.

"Sorry for the delay, I assure you, this shall not happen again." Reva's heel hit Rose's slender back hard as she stood on her, pinning her down. This made most of the audience smile, looking at Rose suffer. The silver locks of hair from her head soaked up some of the tears she cried, and her whines were muffled.

"I shall continue with haste. And we'll start this one off at--"

"3000!" It rung in Rose's ears, making her heart throb faster and her stomach feel sick. This was a nightmare, it had to be. Right now she was being pawned off like an object, to nothing less then a nightmare's monster. She could only sob as every bidder who tried to bet, was easily over taken but the brutal man.

"4000!"

"6000." His voice was steady.

"7--" And one after another the competitors were being knocked off by this one man. Reva grinned at her progress and gave a small but sinister smile to the man. This truely was a nightmare.

"8000..."

As Rose was thrashed around on stage he turned to his master and quickly said "I will work for it. You won't have to give me rations and I will scavenge my own food. I will do anything to raise the money, anything. I just can't take it anymore, sir. Please sir, buy this girl." This time instead of getting on one knee, he went all the way down to both, and slammed his hands onto the ground. He meant the utmost respect, but the more he watched this girl fall into the hands of that disgusting pervert, the farther down he got. He was feeling very faint, as the blood had now gotten his pants soaking wet and he was at the point where he might collapse, but with his last amounts of energy, he begged. Begged that they would take pity on her. He meant he would do anything, rob banks, kill men, anything it took. He didn't love her, but it seemed like he cared for her, as a little sister, or a friend.

All she did was said ,'Hmph.' She looked the other way, watching the auction. Poor girl. She thought. She crossed her arms over breasts, she thread her fingers. If she liked having a master or mistress, or right now, or her current master. She would have asked for her's to bid for her, so to put there girl's soul at ease.

She bit her bottom lip, not saying anything and let with her current master. Her ebony hair trailed behind her, there was lotso f whispers and murmurs.

"How long do you think he would last with her?"

"I saw a week."

"I say less then 7 days!"
Along with other whispers and murmurs of ,"What is that boy thinking..."

Being bold as to ask, she looked up at him. "Master...why did you pick me?

Zephyr looked towards his new servant. "Someone of your strength and size was all that I came here for. Do not waste your breath trying to convince me to buy another...." He turned towards Kyrox. "You, on the other hand, have not made a single bid or attempt at purchase. This may be your last chance to get a servant, so it seems that she would be your best option."

Kyrox turned towards Rose. He got a good look also at the man steadily raising his price to obtain her. He could tell by the way he looked that she would be no good in his possesion. His anger flared at the thought of letting anyone become a worthless soul under someone like that. The man was scum in his eyes...

"8000..." He was persistent. Kyrox could easily outbid him, but he wanted to see just how far this man would go...

"11,000..." He spoke up, raising his hand with his number in it coolly. That's 3000 over his bid. Can he manage it? he thought, but he was soon interrupted by the man's voice.

"12000..." Kyrox could tell by his tone that the man was clearly annoyed at the sudden competition. It was making him more eager to blow him out the water. Kyrox suddenly turned a slick grin on his face....

"20,000." The man was in shock. The outcome was clear. He looked as if he were ready to approach the three and take them all down, including Zephyr and Atticus, but one quick sweep of the eyes over the three soon changed his mind. He had seen Zephyr take a life earlier, saw the strength of Atticus, and did not want to take any chances with the unknown being. He stepped down, accepting defeat in the most hateful way possible....

"20,000"

20,000 ... but who? With the last bit of strength she had in her she tilted her head up slowly, and her eyes caught two men, and the male slave from earlier. Her pale white eyes closed, and the grey tint of her stare was gone. Fainted under Reva, she did not realize what was happening, nor would hse understand it when she regained consciousness. But though she was unconscious for now she could still faintly hear voices, everything a constant blur. The auction was still in motion.

"20,000! Well, well! We have a winner! Sold to the man in the back for 20,000!" Though Reva's lust was always for money, her face didnt look as satisfied as it normally was. Reva's face flushed bright red, not from joy or embarassment, but it looked as if from anger. "Who knew a worthless whore like you would earn so much... I don't know why he would bid so highly for you... but I asure you... the happiness you seek will not last..." with those last words, Rose was escorted off stage.

It seemed as if it was almost a miracle, but Reva's words shown made Rose fear slightly. With little effort Rose's limp, fainted body was eased into the arms of one of the guards and handed to her new master. Her body was cradled slightly in his arms, the warmth of her soft skin touched his. Unlike Rose, his body was slightly cool and made Rose open her eyes one last time. With a flushed fach, and soothing eyes, she turned to her rescuer. After that was dark, and her tiny bit of strength used to keep her slightly consious was gone and she was out cold. Reva continued the auction, and now the man who was holding her was in control of her fate. Who knows what he would do to her... but for now, it was better then the Hallow...

"Thanl you sir." He bowed to Zephyr and Kryox again, but this time he had a small turn on the right side of his face. It was a small smile, but inside he was bursting with happieness at the fact she was safe, but who was she in the hands of. He did not know much about these people, except they were high bidders, and willing to go the length for what they wanted. He liked that in a person, courage. He looked at Rose slumped down into his arms, and he couldn't help but asking "Do you need me to carry her." He was a strong man, and to him it would be like carrying a handbag. The only problem he had on his mind, was how long was he going to last under the command of Zephyr. He seemed like an evil man, and Atticus was always one to fight for other's rights. How long until he was pushed off the edge, and how would the man take it. He didn't care about the beatings, whippings or the torture, but he cared for his life. Zephyr was a shoot first ask questions late type of man, but he figured if he could on Kryox's good side along with Zephyr's, then he would have a better chance of surviving.

(Cue A Place To Call Home Music) The auctions had been going on for most of the day now. People were being sold left and right. Those who weren't sold yet waited in fear as they hid in the shadows behind the stage. When it was time for them to be auctioned off, they would be brought out before the crowd of rich bidders. Many from earlier couldn't stand the feeling of a big crowd watching them. Others just ignored them and went into their own little world. A few actually provoked the crowd of bidders by making faces at them or throwing pieces of clothing and other materials that they had tucked away at them. They were whipped on the spot.

Bring out the next potential slave! Two big men nodded at the command and went back stage to bring out the next one. This time... it was Titto's turn. As they came for him, he had a small look of fear on his face but he gazed sadly into the men's eyes. They couldn't really stand the way his eyes were. No one really could. Titto's eyes are so mystic and mezmorizing that they make everyone feel weird and awkward on the inside. The men used effort to break from the gaze and turned away as they picked him up by his hands and dragged him to the stage. When he is brought out into the light, he instantly closed his eyes due to the brightness of the sun. As he stood there, his shackles were unlocked and released and the crowd of bidders talked amongst themselves while they waited for the starting bidding amount to be announced. Titto slowly began to open his eyes as they adjusted to the bright sunlight. When they focused, he saw the crowd of people talking and looking at him. This made him feel nervous but hopeful at the same time. When the crowd got a good look at him, they gasped. They were surprised by the clothes he was wearing. They were so elegant and sophisticated that there's no way the kid could be a slave.

(Cue Primitive Techno Music)
Now then... Let's start the bid at-- The auctioner was instantly cut off by the first bidder.

5000! The first blow has been made. Now the war begins...

(Cue En Garde! Music)
6000!!

7500!!

10,000!!!

I'll give you 20,000!!! Things started to get wild at this point.

Hey, he's mine!

No, the boy is mine!

I saw him first!

I want the boy!!

I'm gonna kill you for him! People started tackling other people and soon, the whole crowd turned into a giant mosh pit. People were getting the crap beat out of them. One guy tackled another and started pummeling him into the ground. Soon, another guy came along and kicked him in the face, then picked him up and started choking him. Then another guy comes along and knockes him in the side of his head with his chair. It was a Mexican brawl; everyone was beating up everyone, all just for the one boy with the rich-looking clothes. Titto just stood there and watch with a scared look on his face. Guards from behind stage had no choice but to come out and settle the crowd down. This made the uproar even more barbaric as the crowd turned on the guards. If the slaves in the back weren't chained up, they would have had the absolute perfect moment to escape. After a while, order was restored. There was blood, clothes, and money scattered everywhere but no one sustained critical injuries. No one looked like a rich noble anymore though. They all look like they climbed out of a bloody dumpster as they sat there glaring and snarling at each other.

(Cue Primitive Techno Music)
Well if there are no more...objections... 20,000 going once... Going twice... It seemed like Titto would be sold to the one with the most red on his clothes and the most purple on his face. This doesn't bold well.

"30,000... And I believe he's mine." Her eyes were keen, an alluring look of satisfation was wore on her face, though most of it was hidden. The lucky number 7 was shot into the air with an eerie swiftness, to fast to be human. This was the moment she had been waiting for.

".... SOLD to the woman in the cloak!"

The cloak flew behind her as she gracefully landed on stage, dropping a large bag at Reva's feet. Reva had never seen such a bid in ages, and in all her life, she felt as if today was the most confusing day of her life. Completely shook... that was her expression. All she could do was simply nod her head to the tall female figure.

Dodging several glasses that were being tossed at her now from the agitated crowd, she bowed and grabbed the slaves hand, quickly enveloping him in her large shroud, and with that lept back and dashed out of the room.

A mysterious woman... a mysterious day. It just seemed as if the Hallow hasn't seen more queer a day then this.

As they made it out into the main hall she turned to her slave and her voice, mature and upholding spoke for the second time.

"Titto. You are mine from now on... and now... we make haste to your new home..." She did not want to see the result of her actions, and was eager to get as far from the Hallow as possible.

It was very silent as Titto was about to be claimed for the price of 20,000. Everyone was tense and stiff. Suddenly at the very last possible second, a female voice echoed from almost out of nowhere as a paddle with the number seven suddenly appeared in the air.

30,000... And I believe he's mine. The man who made the last bid had his hopes shot down as he turned to find out where the voice came from.

WHAT?! Everyone else around him said the same thing simaltaniously. By this point it was too late for anyone to do anything.

(Cue Together, We Ride! Music)
.... SOLD to the woman in the cloak! Soon, the woman appeared on stage to claim her prize. Titto saw what she looked like and he was astonished. Before he could say anything, she grabbed his hand and was covered by a large shroud. They both then vanished from the stage and made their way out past the main hall and through the exit.

Titto. You are mine from now on... and now... we make haste to your new home... The sound of those words slightly calmed Titto down yet still gave him fear. He was unsure of what to expect from his new master but he was just glad to be back into a family where he can finally have a place to live. His original family was the only family he knew. They lived in a different village but slavery seems to have spread wide across parts of the world. The family treated him with the utmost care and kindness and they didn't really make him feel like a slave. They made him feel like he was apart of the family itself more than anything else. He had hoped the same thing would come from his new master.

The air was moist outside as her foot steps came to a stop. Rain slighlty poured down on the two and the cool air felt good to her. Giving a small sigh of relief he rested her head in the palm of hers hands for a second to think. Moving toward the street, his hand still in hers, she stopped a passing taxi, entering and pulling the slave inside. It seemed strange that a woman who just bid 30,000 would even be thinking of a taxi ride right now. These led to a couple of suspesions from her new slave.

"How can I help ya Miss?" A rough accented man turned his head back at her, grinning as he noticed hes been pulled over in front of The Midnight Hallow.

"To the western outskirts please."

"Yes Ma'am." The engine sputtered slightly and the Hallow slowly began to fade behind them. Leaving her hood on and the majority of her face covered she slightly turned toward her purchase. It made a feeling of anticipation fill the inside of the car, but instead of speaking to release the tension between the two, she stayed silent and studied him.

Before the purchase she noticed his fine clothing attire, but the reason he caught her eye was because of his expression. He had looked more then upset, and he didnt look slave material. He seemed timid and it was this that lead her to believe he was just right for her.

The ride continued on as she gazed at him. The rain drops pattered against the window and after a short while, she turned to look at them, steering her face from the slave to outside.

(Cue Depressed Illusion Music) Soon it began to rain. The sky was now darkened with gray clouds. The air blowing by was at a cool temperature. Both made it to the streets where a taxi was summoned. Their new destination was made as they hopped in and took off. Titto sat on one side while his new master sat on the other. It was a bit of an eerie and awkward moment for the two. Through the corner of his eyes, he saw his new master study and examine him. Titto kept quiet the whole time. He was feeling a bit timid and uncomfortable. He'll just have to rough it until they reach their destination. He just stared out the window and looked up at the gray sky. They passed many farms and fields that were being showered by the rain. A forlorn and depressing scene it was. Many thoughts filled Titto's mind. After a few minutes, he turned to his new master. He wanted to speak to her and try to astablish some kind of communication.

Um... I, uh.....Ohhh..... His voice trailed off as he failed. He just wasn't up to the task. Maybe he'll get another chance soon. This is what he had hoped as they continue to ride through the rain.

It seemed as if an hour had passed until they made it to the outskirts of Marine. They had passed the hustle and bustle of the city and were now aobut to travel on foot. Only a little further... she thought as the taxi began slowing down. The city looked smaller from the outside of it, the clouds of concrete color overlooked Marine, and just looking at it could make anyone feel down. It was then, looking at this miserable sight, that everyone could tell, that city really was forsaken. Or was it the mere fact that everyone in it was?

Just passing the large enterance of the city they were now in a small grove. Everything in the city was dead and as it seemed, the small area surrounding it was too.

"Here you are... The outskirts. That'd be 150." The driver looked back at her as a small purse shifted out of her cloak and to the man.

"I'm sorry sir... but this is all I have.... " A small sum of 50 was in it, and what appeared to be a small set of jewelry. The woman looked at the cab driver and for the first time, a look of sympathy was given. How could a woman with so little have possibly afforded a slave? With kindness, the mans voice softened. No telescope was required to see the woman was far from joking, and was upset.

"Its alright. Just have yer'selves a good one. And don't mention anything to anyone. Got it?"

"Yes... thankyou." With that, she grabbed Titto's arm yet again and made her way out of the cab. Slowly the cab driver backed up and left them, giving one small wave to the two and he was gone.

Pebble dirt path, and brown dead grass was stretched before them. Sighing one last time, she firmly grasped his hand in hers and she began walking along the path. Slowly the forest seemed to envelope them and Marine faded from their vision. All they could now see where the trees and forest around them. From time to she would turn her head at him, her human, and give another sigh.

It seemed like everything was zooming by slowly but swiftly. The setting changed from a city to desolate outskirts to a forest. Even more strange, as soon as they entered the forest, Titto's mood changed from being shy and timid to being cool, calm, and collected. Being half-elf, he felt at home in the forest. His hand was still connected to his master's but he didn't mind. As time passed, he began to feel more at ease around her, slowly but surely.

(Cue Stirring Of The Forest Music)
This forest is lively a shelters many friendly creatures here. Navigating through it won't take much effort. I'm looking forward to being with you. I'm sure...we'll get along fine. I will do my best and work hard for you. Titto sounded calm and confident as he looked at his master. He also wondered how long they were gonna be in the forest and how long it would be until they reach his new home. Only time will tell.

PostPosted: Sun Jan 07, 2007 2:25 pm
"Silence..." Of all the words to say, this is all she spoke, and as they traveled it seemed as if thats all she would say. As they progessed deeper into the forest she lead them away from the dirt path and toward a new direction. The grass became greener and the sky had a more cyan hue, unlike around Marine. The wind that blew had a sweet aroma to it, then again, fresh air always smelled good to her. Carrying the melody of a small stream and birds songs they seemed to be travelling uphill.

The road became more rigid and it slowed down their progress slightly, but that didnt matter, because they were almost at there destination. About 40 mintues had passed on foot, and finally they saw shelter. The place was desolent, and quiet, but had a homey touch to it. It was the very peak of the hill, and the forest was behind them. A vibrant meadow sprung from these hills bringing life among the entire view. Occassional flowers strived here and there and animals could be seen scurring about on trees and from a distance.

When they reached the top, the shelter that was seen from afar was now made out as a two story house. A garden adorned the front area of it and they approached the door step silently. If one were to look down further past the house, a small town could be seen. Anyone with a keen eye could make out the distance, and judging since it wasn't so far, it would seem to take at least 15 minutes to get to the town by feet.

It didnt seem like Titto would get much time to look about outside, because the maiden who had purchased him quickly opened the door and lead him in, shutting it tightly behind her.

"Home.... finally---" Something weird came over her voice, and for a moment it sounded of that of a younger person. She looked about her. They seemed to be inside of the living room. To the right of them were a set of stairs and under them a small closet. Further behind the livingroom a kitchen could be made out and in there lay a bathroom. The upstairs had two bedrooms and another bathroom. It was Titto's first time here, and she figured eventually she'd had to show him around. But for now she was to tired, to tired to even hold up her form.

One last sigh was all she needed until all of her powers expired. A small poof of cloud shot out from the cloak, and when the cloak hit the floor a small girl appeared in place of the tall woman. Oddly enough she had a set of feline ears and a curvy tail, which shifted from side to side momentarily.

"Finally.... home Titto..." The girl looked at him shyly tilting her head to the side. It seemed almost impossible. What happened to the woman? How did this little girl get enough money to buy him? 'What?' seemed to be the biggest question that could come to mind.

Kyrox accepted Rose within his arms from the guard. She was fairly light...and her skin was very warm in comparison to his. He looked at her as she lost the last of her conciousness looking up at him, her eyes warming and seemingly-harmless. It seemed that Kyrox was glad that he made the purchase, regardless of what Zephyr or Atticus suggested to him. He would be fairly happy with her, whether she made it easy or hard on herself.

"Thank you sir." Atticus showed a faint smile and a bow to show his gratitude towards Zephyr and himself. It didn't matter. It wasn't like his concern or request made a difference in the decision, he was most likely going to bid for Rose anyway, at least to free her from the eminent clutches of that man. "Do you need me to carry her?"

"No, I got it. She doesn't weight too much, and I'm not as weak as one may assume, either..." Kyrox spoke. He was young, but he was still a vampire, and pretty strong as an elf as well.

"Are we ready to go now? All this fighting is annoying me now, and the second that one of these imbeciles touch me, it's over for them..." Zephyr was already halfway out the door when he spoke, pulling Atticus out along with him. Kyrox assumed that he expected him to follow, so he hoisted Rose into a more comfortable position in his arms, and began to head for the exit as well.

The two's personal guards were outside with umbrellas waiting for them to finish their business. It was raining hard, and luckily the walk to their escort limo was short-lived. As one may assume by the high bids and personal guards, the two were rich, and seemingly happy. The door was held open for them...Kyrox ducked in first to avoid injuring himself or Rose. He went to the other side of the backseat, placed her on the seat near the window, and sat next to her. Why did he care so much for someone who he never knew, let alone purchased as a slave? His internal question would be partially answered soon.

"It's obvious that the two of you will grow to be close over time, whether it be relationship-wise, or strictly business." Zephyr remarked coolly. He was sitting opposite of him, and Atticus was left chained near Zephyr, seated on the far side of the seat.

"Well for now, let's leave it at this...you worry about your slave, and i'll worry about mine, however I feel like it..."

"Touchy touchy...."
