Deidara rushed across the hallway, towards his room. He was going so fast, he missed Itachi and Sasori, even!
Damn that syrup! The blonde had eaten too much of it. And now his stomach was killing him.
And a public restroom would not do!
With a whimper, Deidara slipped his hotel card into the door slot, and pulled the door open.
"Ahh!"
Water come flooding out, getting the entire bottom of his outfit wet. The force of the water even pushed him back. He trudged into the wet hotel room.
And he saw Kisame.
"AAAHHH!" He yelled, jumping back at the sight of his fellow Akatsuki member doing something absolutely INSANE. In TRUNKS. Dear Lord!
"KISA-KUN! What did you do to our room, yeah!? Put some pants on, jeeeze!" He cried as he ran into the bathroom and slammed the door shut.
How disturbing!
---
Ino was quiet for the rest of her eating. She finished quickly, however (She couldn't eat all of the pancakes she made for herself. She was full earlier. She supposed it was her constant dieting that had made her intake amount so low.) and slid her leftovers into Chouji's plate before getting up, and working on washing her plate as well as the skillet and batter bown and utensils she used to cook the pancakes with.
---
Sasori shrugged at both of Itachi's questions. To be honest, he hadn't payed much attention to movies, considering he never liked going to theatres. He had no clue what was playing these days, so Itachi's first option just wasn't possible.
For a moment, he thought he saw blonde rush by. Not that he paid much attention: he was more focused on plans with Itachi. Plus, it's not like it was Deidara. If it were THAT blonde, Itachi and Sasori would have to put their plans on hold, for the blonde would no doubt cling to them. But he had just run off. Must be someone else.
"Hm. I have no idea what's even playng in the theatres, so unless you have a movie in mind, I have nothing to suggest to you," he replied casually. "If you have nothing in mind, I suppose we will have to make a choice at the theatre."
---
Hinata could only blink as Narto went off into a ramble about the night before. This was so...unlike him. She was flattered he thought enough to apologize, but SHE didn't think it a big deal. Certainly not something he needed to feel guilty about.
She stood back, thinking up of something to say as Naruto continued to degrade himself. Maybe he had a bad morning? Or the night before? It was just so unusual to see him so...upset about himself. Not that he had never done so before. There was the secret about the Kyuubi, and even years before.
The Chuunin exams. For the first time he had told her about his insecurities. About acting tough, and about whether or not he could defeat Neji. But she was always able to confort him, with truthful words.
"I'm really sorry, Hinata.."
She took a breath. Hopefully that would work yet again.
"N-no, there's nothing to be sorry about, Naruto-kun. You see..." she blushed, and looked at her feet. A shy smile crepped onto her face.
"Well, spending time with you on this vacation...I...well...I enjoy it a lot!"
She glanced at him, before twiddling her fingers and looking back at her feet. Old habits die hard.
"You also saved my life yesterday.... I-I'm the one who owes YOU", she said a bit quieter, obviously embarassed.

Her eyes narrowed dangerously. He couldn't just, come for a visit? Or, maybe even to suggest something to do later.
Sakura couldn't help but pout. "What a bummer." She thought, thinking that maybe he came to see her.
Well, he did, but over some false information..
Sighing, she glanced back up at him while her hand twitched wanting to hit something-
"AH!" She screamed, completely forgetting about her last thoughts while being shoved into the very, incredibly small shoe closet that was next to the door by Sasuke.
She landed with a small 'Umph' into Sasukes chest, while holding onto his shirt in a death grip to keep herself from falling. [Or, at least she told herself.]
Click.
Growling, she glanced in the direction she hoped was the door. Which, happened to be right, seeing as there was a small amount of light slipping through under the door. Whoever was the idiot that actually thought to put a lock on a shoe closet deserved to die a slow and painful death.
She involuntarily shivered. It was dark in the small closet, she was with Sasuke where the two barily even had enough room to move without whacking one of their body parts off each other, she was only in spanks and a tanktop, and.. it was small.
.. Which wasn't a good thing for poor little claustrophobic Sakura here.
--<3--
Kakashi grinned evilly, for his.. hungover state.
Theres what those two brats get for talking while he was sleeping. Or, was trying to sleep.
Even though he was happy to see that Sasuke was alive and not screaming 'Im-Oro', the guy needed to learn to be quiet.
Sighing with relief after pushing the two in after one another, Sasuke first, he locked the lock ontop the door, and on the doorknob.
Hopefully, itd be easier that sleep while their all confined in that small spot.
--<3--
Chouji had just finished his fair share in their breakfast when Ino had put her leftovers on his plate.
He grinned. "Thanks Ino," He thanked before digging into the food.
--<3--
He grinned. "So I guess that means that you dont mind." He stated.
"Besides. Maybe we can get the two of them to go out somewhere. Like.. camping. Im sure Gai would love the idea." He suggested, his upper lip twitching.
Oh, the horrible memories.
--<3--
Suddenly, his lake of fishies turned into a dry desert of carpet.
He growled. Deidara, like usual, was all 'Ah!Im-so-realistic-yet-retarded.'
He snorted before getting up and putting his cloak back on.
.. That would be enough 'Where da hood at' for today.

Bah. Why was she so quiet? .. Not that it was annoying him. Of course not. He enjoyed the silence, no matter how unnerving it was.. well, that was a damn lie.
"Ino," he called out in a sort of irritated tone as he gave Chouji what was left of his breakfast and stood up. He approached her and stood next to the blond while dropping his dishes into the sink. "Look, if you're still upset about last night.. then.." He paused, looking away as an almost disgusted looking expression crossed his face. ".. I'm sorry." Oh, how he disliked admitting such a thing. "You being mad at me is just so.. troublesome."
---
"Not at all.."
The wicked grin was still visible on her face, even when he suggested camping. "Oh, Gai-sensei would love that.. and I would love it even more, because they'd be gone.. and you and I would be completely alone.." She snuggled closer to him, almost amazed at how much things could change in the time-span of two days.
---
Itachi completely missed the dashing blond. He only had great eyesight with the Sharingan, after all. Without it, why, he was nearly blind! .. Not exactly, but things weren't as sharp. That, and why wonder about somebody who probably had no relation who-so-ever to him?
"I have nothing in mind," he drawled with a sigh. "We'll just have to wait and see what's playing when we get there."
He hoped there was something at least half-decent. No talking animals, that was for sure. And the rating would have to be PG-13 or higher. Nothing about romance, either. Obviously he wasn't a big fan of anything lovey-dovey. He tortured his own flesh and blood, after all.
Apparently something was wrong with the elevator, so they were forced to take the stairs.
---
"Aw, Hinata.. you don't owe me anything," he stated, his face reddening considerably as he rubbed the back of his neck out of nervousness. "Sasuke-b*****d kind of helped me.. eh, scratch that. You don't owe me anything!"
He lowered his hand and seriously invaded her person space when he brought his face an inch away from hers, eyes wide with happiness. "But, really?! You're enjoying spending time with me?!" He backed away for a moment to close his eyes and smile. "Wow. I've never had someone tell me that before.."
Then without warning the blond gave the Hyuuga a bear hug. "I'm so glad you're having fun!"
---
Sasuke didn't even have time to blink before he was shoved into the closet, Sakura being thrown into him an instant after. The back of his head had hit the closet wall with a dull 'thud' sound, and it took him a moment to come to his senses. ".. What.. the hell.." He couldn't even form coherent sentences yet.
He was going to maim whoever was responsible. Maim them, then.. oddly enough, give them a proper burial.
..
He narrowed his eyes as he attempted to move toward the door. "I'm going to BURN it down." Of course moving meant having his and Sakura's bodies pressed.. very closely and firmly against the other, which made him feel.. -- 'awkward' was not even the right word to use.
Eventually he made it, and grabbed the door-knob tightly. "Open the door!" he growled after having turned it and found the door to be locked. Who the hell puts a lock on the door of a shoe closet?! Did they expect shoes and other articles of clothing to escape?
Becoming more angry with each passing second, Sasuke gave the door-knob one hard yank.. and paled when he accidentally ripped it off. ".. I know I've been bad, but do I really deserve this?" After spending a moment glaring at the door-knob in his hand, he tossed it behind him. However the fates were currently against him and the item bounced off the wall and slammed into the back of his head, causing him to hit his forehead on the door.
"DAMMIT!"

"No problem, Chouij!" the blonde called.
Ino winced as Shikamaru's dishes clanged into the sink. Those were beakable, dammit.
Ugh! That ungrateful little......OOH, I can just take the plate and smash it against his lazy FACE-
Her ranting were stopped short when he ACTUALLY apologized. Her mouth cracked a tiny smile as she finished scrubbing her plate, and set it under hot running water to dry.
His next comment hit her the wrong way, though.
That b*****d! In his FACE! That jeeeeerk!
"Oh, it's okay, Shikamaru!" she replied in a more-than-cheery voice.
"I'm so glad that your only excuse for actually being sorry is because I give you a hard time!"
In that last statement, her voice went from sweet to PISSED. With an angry huff, she took a handful of soap suds, and threw them SMACK into Shikamaru's face.
You're not even worth the damn plate!
Well, if Shikamaru knew ONE thing about Ino, it was how to push all the wrong buttons.
---
Sasori followed Itachi, keeping a simple mind of what he was NOT going to watch.
And that was: Anything that Deidara WOULD watch.
Sasori looked at the floor, keeping his eyes on the stair case. Something in his hands caught his eye.
Oh yeah. He still had that with him.
Sasori sighed, and glanced to Itachi.
"Pop-tart?"
---
Hinata giggled as Naruto denied her debt, her blush holding strong when she noticed the deep color spread to his face. but it did not take away from the fact that she knew he had spared her from a ridiculous death, and she would have to find a way to repay it. Not that she minded if Naruto...
...WAS IN HER FACE!?
Hinata froze and blinked as Naruto's eyes were so close all she could see was blue. When he asked her the question (Hinata thought it was a dumb question...she ALWAYS enjoyed spending time with him.) she nodded, and then he had backed up, and she released the breath she hadn't realized she was holding. Hehe. Maybe HE'D be the death of her. Hinata gave a lopsided grin at her own thoughts.
God, she loved that boy.
Her own thoughts were invaded by a bit of surprise as Naruto admitted to noone telling him something like that. Even as he hugged her (in which she squeaked and turned red yet AGAIN) she couldn't help but disbelieve in what he had said. He had lots of friends. She was sure SOMEONE gave him credit.
"I-I'm sure everyone enjoys being around you," she answered with a smile after he exclaimed his...excitement?...to her.

Sakura immediatly flushed scarlet when Sasuke had first started to move, but squished herself against the side of the wall to let him pass.
However, she was completely on her own then. Nothing to clutch onto..
Almost instantly after Sasuke had thrown the doorknob behind him, and it bounced back and hit him in the head, yelling a 'Dammit!', she practically glomped him. [But made sure not to put enough pressure into it so that way he didnt hit his head off of something.. again.]
"How ironic.." She thought almost instantly. "Im hugging him from behind, yet again." While sighing inwardly.
.. Although there was nothing wrong with hugging Uchiha Sasuke like that.
She buried her face into the back of his shirt. "Shut up Sasuke." Came a muffled reply, barily audible. "Ill admit it now, I hate small spaces."
--<3--
Chouji said nothing in return to Ino's response, but nodded his head when Shikamaru dumped the rest of his food on his plate.
Ca-ching!
He hit the jackpot today.
--<3--
Neji's grin broadened slightly when Tenten snuggled closer to him after saying that her and him would be all alone together.
"Of course. Anything that you said was youthful, and he'd be there in two seconds flat." He replied, and shook his head slightly. "And, of course, me and you alone would be the best part." He finished, kissing her lightly on the forehead.
--<3--
Kisame pouted the whole time while walking over to the TV, plopped down on the couch and bounced up and down from the aftershock.
Then he turned on the TV.
.. And almost immediatly he wished he didnt.
He glanced at the clock, his hand blocking his eyes' view from the TV.
.. They showed PORN this early in the morning?!?
He sighed, and flicked on the weather channel.
Poor, poor children who's minds must be filled with such dirty dirty thoughts while their mothers thought they were watching Barney or some other kiddy-
"I love you~ You love me~ We're one happy Fam-Il-Eee~"
He gagged. "Speaking of the purple evil dino-devil." He said, his eyes narrowing, and flicked it this time to the weather channel.
He blinked.
"Today is going to be One.Freaking.Awesome.Day.. TOGOSURFING~" The weather man said, on the set with a sun hat on and trunks and a baggy shirt.
"Which is exactly what I plan on doing right now. And if I were YOU~" He pointed at the camera.
Kisame blinked, pointing to himself.
"Yes. YOU!" He laughed. "If you know what was good for you, you'd be doing the same thing!"
.. And at that moment the guy ran off the set and Kisame blinked.
Surfing? Out of all things to do with water, that was one thing he never did.
He smirked. And now was his time to try, just like the weather dude said.
.. And 2.5 seconds later, a blue shark/fish figure was last seen running out of the hotel in trunks.

Shikamaru stood there, soap suds clinging to his face. Had she intended for that to hurt? Had she forgotten that soap suds weighed almost nothing, and therefore couldn't POSSIBLY injure someone unless that someone happened to swallow a rather large amount of them?
With a sigh he grabbed a towel, wiped his face clean, and left their hotel room without another word. The door slammed shut behind him.
---
".. Do you think we should actually try that? Get him and Lee to go off on a camping trip for the remainder of this vacation.. I wonder if they would actually leave us alone.." She pulled away from him and quickly sat up, poking her chin with her index finger.
"Neji.. we need to plan."
---
Not even a second after Sasori had asked.. or at least -practically- asked.. Itachi if he wanted a pop-tart, a blue blur dashed past them.
.. Kisame? .. Nah.
He returned his attention to Hidan's favorite snack. Yeah, he was definitely tearing the place apart looking for his box of pop-tarts by now. If they were lucky Zetsu would eat him before they got back.
"No."
---
He continued hugging her, once again oblivious to her shyness. "They never act like it," he commented under his breath, his chin resting on her shoulder. He glared at the wall behind her. Not once did it occur to him that it would probably be best to release her. One employee had already gone by and looked at them with a raised eyebrow, but of course Naruto missed him since his back had been facing the man at the time.
"I mean.. no one's ever told me."
Finally he pulled away, but his expression had turned serious.
Naruto turned his head left, right, then left again. When he looked back at the Hyuuga, a frown was in place. It was amazing how fast the blond could change moods.
"We need to find some place to talk.. alone. There's something I want to discuss with you."
Without giving any indication that he was going to do it, he grabbed her hand and began to pull her alongside him down the hall. Their destination was currently unknown.
---
Sasuke blinked, and turned his head to look behind him. He felt an odd sense of deja vu as well as familiarity, though this time he was lacking the Curse Seal and the intent to kill.. well, not so much the intent to kill, seeing as how he was currently harboring some relatively hostile feelings toward whoever was responsible for locking them in the damn closet in the first place.
But now he felt bad for Sakura.
YES. HE FELT BAD FOR SAKURA.
She hated small places, and now she was cooped up in the smallest place he had ever been in, and with him. Not that being with him was a bad thing, but two people being enclosed in a place like.. a shoe closet.. She could pass out at any given moment.
The Uchiha seemed to calm down after a little while, and he released a sigh.
Even though it hurt, he pressed his forehead against the door. Part of him wanted to suggest to Sakura that she break down the door, but the other part of him just wanted to remain standing there with her arms wrapped around him from behind. Oddly enough, it relaxed him.
"You could just.. knock the door down.." he murmured.

Sasori ignored the dash of blue across the hall. Kisame? Probably.
But Sasori did not care. Kisame, once you got to know him, was just as crazy as the rest of them.
Maybe a shark would eat him. Would that be cannibalism? Not that Sasori cared. Nor was he educated about sharks.
Well, that's nice.
Sasori nodded at Itachi's answer, and kept the box to himself. He would just....hold it, he guessed.
He sighed. Hidan must be going nuts by now.
---
"Hidan, for the LAST time-"
"I KNOW they have them, goddammit!"
AL snarled, "You listen, you littl-"
"No, YOU listen, Big Shot!"
A gasp was heard.
AL sighed. "Tobi, be a good boy. Go somewhere else."
"Yessir." came a nervous reply. Footsteps faded into another area. AL stared back at Hidan.
"I'm sure that there are other things for you to eat, Hidan."
"Does it LOOK like I want to eat anything else? NOBODY HERE CAN ******** COOK A DECENT DAMNED MEAL! The only one who won't set the ******** piece of s**t stove on fire is Little Miss Flower, but too bad, the crap she calls food tastes like s**t!"
"HIDAN."
"I WANT MY ******** POPTARTS!"
"I DON'T CARE!"
"I DON'T GIVE A RATS a** IF YOU CARE!"
"ZETSU!"
A hologram of Zetsu popped up next to the leader. An evil grin spread on both of their faces.
"Zetsu. Follow Hidan around. If he makes one more complaint about his missing pastries, dispose of him. Maybe we can cut off his hair and sell it. Our treasury is getting empty..."
"Yes sir," the plant man evilly smiled.
Hidan stomped his foot. It could be compared to a temper tantrum of a little girl.
"Damn you all to hell," he mumbled before stalking off to find another food source, Zetsu following behind.
He swore he heard Kakazu whisper, "Thank GOD someone shut that fool up." in the background.
---
It had taken some time, but soon Hinata's blush had faded into a softer shade of rose across her cheeks. Her heart wasn't racing near as fast as it was before, but she was still almost sure that it would thump out of his chest soon enough. Maybe even Naruto could hear or feel it. God knows SHE could.
Her calming was done no justice as a man walked bye. She caught his look, and all she could do was set her eyes down to Naruto's shoulders. She was quite embarassed, yet at the same time, happy that he was still showing her some kind of affection, whether it was they way she had always hoped for or not.
She felt him tug away after a moment, and before the contact was completely gone, she had set in her mind his warmth, his feel, his shape, his scent, everything.
Hinata slowly looked into his eyes, and instantly saw the change. Suddenly, it seemed as if the air in the hall had gotten a bit heavy. He followed the movement of his face, left, right, left. At her. And she tilted her head slightly, wondering what had upset him. She frowned.
Could it be....her?
Her worry about him (and him being upset with HER) had only excalated when he expressed the need to discuss something, obviously important. By now, she didn't even remember why she had decided to see him in the first place, and after a few minutes of trying to keep her balance as Naruto pulled her to God knows where, she gained her footing, and kept pace a bit behind him. Following his lead.
As she did so, she looked at her hand.
In his.
In her confusion, Hinata was able to crack a small smile, the red on her cheeks decided not to go away fully just yet.

Not having the ability to read minds, Sakura had no idea that Sasuke was actually feeling sorry for her, nor did she know that he was actually internally debating whether or not he liked the feel of her touch.
Aw. Too bad poor little Saku-chan couldn't mind read.
After hearing no response from him, Sakura started to reluctantly let go and wrap her arms around herself. Right after she did this, however, he began to speak.
Her face heated up with embarassment. He actually expected her to be able to use her brain like she normally would have when she Was.In.A.Small.Place?!?
She grumbled. "Well, perhaps if you weren't infront of me I might be able to do something." She retorted.
Sasuke, meet Sakura. New and improved. [Man. By now, she was thinking she was some kind of toy.]
--<3--
Chouji had just finished eating when he turned around to go and give Ino his plate, he saw Shikamaru have suds all over his face.
He blinked as he watched him storm out of the room and slam the door shut.
He smirked. Oh. He just got OWNED, b***h!
.. And if he was on the computer, it was have been, 'You just got PWNED, byatch!'
Shaking his head slightly, he went over and put his plates in the sink. He didnt bother saying anything about what happened, just incase Ino decided to.. explode on him as well.
He sure as hell would rather sleeping on a nice cozy bed.
--<3--
At first, he was holding Tenten and then next, he was groping the sheets.
"What the hell?" He thought, cracking one eye just in time to listen to what she was saying.
He shrugged. "Sure. I mean, if we told them that Suna has the best camping-mountains.." He snorted, "We could sign them up and they could have fun all on their own."

Her tapping came to an abrupt halt. "In that case.." She whirled around to face him. "Let's go sign them up!" she exclaimed happily. She waited a moment, blinked, then grabbed his hand and gave it a tug. "NOW."
After that she released him, bolted out of the bed, grabbed an extra pair of clothes from her bag, and ran into the bathroom to change.
---
The blond was surprised that there seemed to be no place PRIVATE in the hotel. The kitchen was full of people, as well as the room with the jacuzzi, not to mention the breakfast lobby.. eventually he settled upon the area between two flights of stairs. It was in a room separate from the hallways, so they would be able to hear someone entering. It was as close as he could get to perfect.
He released her hand and turned to face her, his brows furrowed together as his expression showed that something concerned him. "Hinata," he started firmly. "I want you to be completely honest with me." He hadn't gotten the chance to ask her these questions the night before.
His eyes lowered momentarily. "Now that you know.. what I am.." He lifted them once again to meet hers. "Do I frighten you? Are you scared that, at any minute, the fox could take control of me and kill you? Or someone you love?"
A pause.
"Do you still want to be around me?"
---
Sasuke closed his eyes and smirked. One word entered his mind: "Feisty."
He liked it.
"Then I'll move," he commented, keeping his back to her as he maneuvered himself around her to the back of the shoe closet. He turned again so that now he was facing her back. Something about their current position caused his face to heat up.. and people thought he was slow when it came to things like this..
".. Hurry up.."

As she continued to follow Naruto, she couldn't help but be a little irked at the amount of people in a resort that was rented out. She noticed that they were all staff members, save for the blonde in four ponytails that happened to be in the jacuzzi. She had recognized her from the Chuunin exams. Other than that, there were no familiar faces, and after a while, she gave up on trying to find people she knew, and concentrated on Naruto.
Eventually, Naruto had found a spot he thought was safe enough for them to chat in private, and she was happy for the fact that they were no longer in the presence of anyone other than themselves. Just her and Naruto. Hinata would've been more thrilled had Naruto not seemed so serious.
He let go of her hand, and she stared at it for a moment as if it were foreign. His voice however, snapped her out of her hypnosis and she immidiately clasped her hands together and rested them against her thighs.
"I want you to be completely honest with me."
Hinata's eyes widened a bit. Oh CRAP. He found out. He knew.
He knew she liked him. Hinata mentally screamed. She wasn't ready for him to know yet! Crap! Double crap!
She silently chewed on her bottom lip, and her nerves didn't calm until she had figured by his next statement that he probably didn't know.
She took a deep breath, a bit releived, and at the same time, a bit dissapointed. Would he ever notice? EVER?
His eyes lifted, and she caught his stare. She didn't blink; she couldn't. His eyes reflected so many things that she feared if she blinked, she would miss the chance to get a good look inside his mind.
"Do I frighten you? Are you scared that, at any minute, the fox could take control of me and kill you? Or someone you love?"
She swallowed a breath. The questions were very deep.
"Do you still want to be around me?"
If Hinata were confident, like Sakura or Ino, or even Tenten, Hinata might have slapped the blonde that very second. Or shook him by the shoulders. How could you be so stupid?! she would yell at him.
But Hinata was not like Sakura. Nor was she like Ino or Tenten. She was just Hinata. Quiet little Hinata.
"I..."
I'm not scared of the fox killing me. Someone I love, though...
Hinata looked from Naruto to her feet, a look on her face as if trying to put the words together.
I'm scared for you. If it killed you.
Hinata took a deep breath.
"I'm scared," she admitted, barely above a whisper, "I don't want the Kyuubi to take over you...b-because..."
I love you.
"I," she swallowed, feeling her heart reaching her throat, "I really want you to stick around...I l-like being with Naruto-kun," she finally said in almost a rush, her eyes turning to stare at the wall, the floor...anywhere but him, as if she were to be ashamed, or if she wasn't worthy of his gaze.
She had told the truth, and she couldn't help but be scared that he wouldn't believe her. If he thought she was lying...he would hate her, and Hinata wouldn't be able to take a look of hate from him. Just quiet, shy little Hinata.

Sakura carefully watched him as he moved around her. She slightly smiled. Somehow, it felt as if he was sizing her up.. "Very Sexily.. She added in her mind.
She balled her hand into a fist, getting ready to hit the door, completely ignoring Sasukes remark of 'Hurry up.'
"You know what.." She remarked slightly, unballing her fist, realizing she was using just a bit too much energy for the task, and prepared to-
"I think Im falling in love with him even more than I was when we were genin.."
- And she flicked the door and it landed with a soft thud on the door. Locks broken and all.
--<3--
Neji blinked, still kind of off in his own world when she began speaking.
Out of the whole 'conversation' he got the word "NOW" when she was tugging on his hand.
He sighed when he heard the bathroom door shut. "Guess NOW means NOW." He thought sarcastically, getting up out of the bed, and stretched.
Well.. she was a girl.. and girls HAVE to have the longest time to get ready, he concluded, simply stalking off the the kitchen to get some food, walking over the still unconcious Lee to do so.

Oh, no. Other girls took a long time to get ready, but Tenten? Forget make-up, forget fixing her hair, forget putting on perfume, and forget painting her nails. They were going to sign Lee and Gai up for camping, not to a prom. So after dressing, brushing her teeth, washing her face, and putting her hair up in two buns like she always did, she opened the door.
She raised an eyebrow. "Neji.. ?" Hearing a noise in the kitchen, she in that direction.. and tripped over Lee.
"DAMMIT!" she screeched, landing on her hands, and flipping into the kitchen. "No time to eat!"
It didn't matter if he had anything in his mouth, she still grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the room. "To the.. signing up.. place!"
---
Naruto could have sworn his heart skipped a beat when she admitted in a whisper that she was scared. He couldn't even blink as he stared at her. His heart had, for some reason, begun to beat so loud that its beating was all he could hear. He almost missed what the Hyuuga said next.
His eyes widened, and his knees suddenly felt weak.
"But.."
"I really want you to stick around...I l-like being with Naruto-kun."
"H-Hinata.." He didn't know what to say. His throat felt dry, but even if it didn't, he was speechless. He stood there, gaping at her. She didn't fear him.. she didn't want him to be taken over.. and even knowing the fact that the fox demon was sealed inside him, she still wanted to be around him.. she liked being with him.
When her gaze drifted elsewhere, he continued to stare at her. Naruto clamped his mouth shut, bit his eyes remained locked on Hinata.
Sakura and Sasuke knew about the Kyuubi already.. and he was sure Shikamaru did, since he was so damn intelligent.. and yet he had never been concerned with confronting the three of them like he was doing with Hinata.. and he didn't know why.
Maybe it was because he felt like.. he could be himself with her. He didn't have to act strong around her. He didn't have to lie to her. She brought out the real him.
Hinata seemed to have always paid so much attention to him.. how could he have shrugged her off all those times? How could he have thought of her as weird?
Tentatively he reached out and gripped one of her wrists. "Hinata.." And then he pulled her toward him, wrapping his arms around her small frame, bringing her down with him as he sunk to his knees. He buried his face in her hair, saying nothing else.
---
Sasuke watched from his spot behind the pink-haired female as the door fell. A disgruntled look crossed his face. She didn't even need to punch the door. It went without saying that getting on her bad side was something he REALLY didn't need to do.
But as he stared at the fallen door, he couldn't help but pity the hotel employees. They were certainly going to have their hands full for the next two weeks, he thought with a smirk.
The Uchiha's signature smirk faded when he realized.. he had no idea what to do. He could leave, but there was no doubt in his mind Orochimaru was out and about.. prowling the hallways.. looking for him.. and who knew what the Sannin would do once he found him. He would probably force him to make pie..
Sasuke twitched. "Damn.." He really hated that man.
And so he remained standing there.. inside the shoe closet.

Hinata blinked as she stared to her left, into another world. What is he going to think? was the only thought her mind could process at the moment.
She didn't even hear him say her name the first time it escaped his lips.
No, her mind was focusing on other things. The Kyuubi. A demon....hated by everybody, even those who never saw it. People like her.
Why HIM? Hinata asked mentally, as if somebody, God perhaps, or the Fourth himself, would answer her question. Why someone who never deserved it?
Growing up with a pain she could understand so well, yet was so foreign to her at the same time. Naruto didn't even have a CHOICE.
It wasn't fair. It wasn't fair that he had to worry about this, it wasn't fair he had to keep a secret, it wasn't fair.
Something grabbed her wrist. White eyes glanced back at the blonde sadly.
And he pulled her in, and down, and soon she was sitting on her knees, his arm wrapped tight around her, face buried in her hair.
Maybe it was the lack of sleep she had gotten the night before, or the raw emotion she was feeling, or maybe it was a mix of both, but at that moment, the corners of her eyes filled quickly with tears. She threw her arms around him, and cried into to nape of his neck.
"It's not fair."
And then it hit her. The chuunin exam preliminarilies...when she was weak, he gave her courage, strength, and determination. He had helped her through it all, and even though she lost, it was him that gave her the feeling that in her mind, and in her heart, she was the real winner.
And here they were, the tables turned. He was the one who needed her, seeking her for comfort...
And she was crying like a little child as if it were HER needing help. No. She needed to be strong. For him.
While willing her tears to stop, she half mumbled, half choked out into his neck, "I'm sorry, Naruto-kun. "

When Neji first entered the kicthen, he fetched a bowl, spoon, milk and some fruit loops. LEE's fruitloops. [Right now, he wasn't in the mood for Lucky Charms, and thats all there was.]
Somehow, between pouring some of the cereal in the bowl, he began thinking why Lee would want to eat Fruitloops? Suddenly, Neji questioned if he was gay, seeing the name on the box again.
He just sat down and was about to put a spoonful of the cereal in his mouth when Tenten came out of nowhere and dragged him out of the room WITHHISPJ'SON! However, this wasn't on the Hyuugas mind. No. He didn't care if people saw his sexy sleeping shorts or not. Hell no.
He looked like a bed-head. His hair was EVERYWHERE. He could feel it. And he had to go into public LIKETHIS!?
Scowling, he tried realising the grip she had on his hand. But, that just wasn't possible. Tenten was too damn determinded for her own good. [Well, he would be too, knowing Lee and Gai could be gone in the matter of 2.5 seconds, but at the moment, it was his hair he was most worried about.]
Sighing, he finally gave in and let her drag him to wherever she hoped was the sign up. "Well.." He thought, looking around, hoping no one he knew would see him like this, "Fate must be against me today."
--<3--
Sakura immediately rushed out of the confined place and into the middle of the room, breathing in and out deeply while holding her hands on her knees.
.. Not once did it cross her mind that she was wearing shorts, and Sasuke was standing directly behind her.
.. Nope.
Finally getting up and glancing behind her, she saw Sasuke just kind of.. standing there? She blinked. What the hell was he doing? The door was knocked down, so why was he still in there?
She heard him curse, and she stared at him oddly. What exactly was he going on about? I mean, moodswings? Or.. maybe.. he was scared of something? She glanced around the room, and found nothing that could freak something like Uchiha Sasuke like that.
".. Sasuke." She said, looking back at him, eyebrow raised. "What the hell are you doing in there?"

Tenten's grip on Neji's hand loosened not, if anything it tightened even more with each step she took. She didn't bother to take his feelings into consideration, even though she knew exactly how he felt about his precious hair. Yeah, it probably looked like a mess right now, but so what? They were so close to getting rid of Gai and Lee.
Finally they reached the lobby, which happened to be full of employees who spared Neji a curious glance. She paid no attention to them and ran to the nearest one.
"Excuse me," she began in her sweetest tone, "but where I can I sign a couple of people up for camping?" When the boy pointed at some woman behind a desk, she nodded her head politely before running toward the lady, still pulling the brunette behind her.
"Good morning!" the weapons mistress greeted. She merely continued smiling brightly when the receptionist gave her a stern look. "I'd like to sign two people up for camp!" Two pieces of paper were thrust toward her, and in the blink of an eye, Tenten had them filled out, now grinning. After receiving two smaller slips of paper, she bowed her head. "Thank you~"
She grabbed Neji's hand again and ran back to their hotel room.
---
He would not cry. He refused to cry. GUYS LIKE HIM DO NOT CRY.
But he did anyway, because Hinata was with him, and when she was with him, he knew he could be himself. He didn't have to act strong in front of her. She could see him as a wimp and still appreciate being around him. She didn't hit him when he acted like an idiot.. she didn't insult him when he made a stupid comment.. and while he loved and always would love both Sakura and Sasuke, Hinata just made him feel.. wanted. Not that the other two didn't, but.. he couldn't put it into words. Hinata was just.. different.
Naruto hadn't even realized that she had been crying. He was too busy nuzzling into her hair and crying his eyes out like some little kid. He knew he was acting like a baby, but he couldn't help it. Kami, what was she doing to him?
He stayed like that for a good while; silent, sniffling, and clinging to her as if she were his life source.
Soon after that, however, his tears stopped. He released a small laugh, and pulled his head back to look at her face. He knew his eyes were red and puffy from crying, and that his face was tear-streaked, but that didn't stop him from cracking a grin.
"Let's.. not tell anyone I cry like that, okay?"
---
Her voice snapped him out of his daze, and he stared at her blankly. "Nothing," he replied in a flat tone, unaware that he had missed her bending over. Undoubtedly it would have gotten some kind of reaction out of him.
To be perfectly honest he had forgotten he was even still in the damned closet, so acting as casual as possible he stepped out and stood beside her, casting a glance toward the door.
She was probably expecting him to leave now..
"Sakura.." He glanced at her. ".. What are your plans for today?"
