Yeah, now that I've seen the lithograph, I wouldn't mind heading to one just to pre-order. Agh, I think I'm gonna preorder from fye, which usually has decent preorder deals and buy the Survivalism tracks off of Connect or somewhere.
I'd go through iTunes, but I had enough enjoyment trying to break the DRM on those Katatonia tracks, just so I could put them on my mp3 player.

bump lol Actually, http://www.9inchnails.com/ got a facelift and I felt like sharing. Nice new layout, revamped discography and gallery, refinished album covers that actually look better than the ones on nin.com.

Awesomeness on the way and hopefully the end of those retarded import singles: Trent As the climate grows more and more desperate for record labels, their answer to their mostly self-inflicted wounds seems to be to screw the consumer over even more. A couple of examples that quickly come to mind: * The ABSURD retail pricing of Year Zero in Australia. Shame on you, UMG. Year Zero is selling for $34.99 Australian dollars ($29.10 US). No wonder people steal music. Avril Lavigne's record in the same store was $21.99 ($18.21 US). By the way, when I asked a label rep about this his response was: "It's because we know you have a real core audience that will pay whatever it costs when you put something out - you know, true fans. It's the pop stuff we have to discount to get people to buy." So... I guess as a reward for being a "true fan" you get ripped off. * The dreaded EURO Maxi-single. Nothing but a consumer rip-off that I've been talked into my whole career. No more. The point is, I am trying my best to make sure the music and items NIN puts in the marketplace have value, substance and are worth you considering purchasing. I am not allowing Capital G to be repackaged into several configurations that result in you getting ripped off. We are planning a full-length remix collection of substance that will be announced soon. Plus a remix album. Naturally, I've added the Capital G vinyl promo information into the promo section for anyone who's interested. (artwork included)

After some very brief lurking at Echoing the Sound, it seems Trent might have commissioned some s**t Capital G remix with a "Switch" subtitle. I haven't heard it personally, but apparently the consensus over there is that it's absolutely terrible, which isn't a good indicator for the coming remix EP. Well, actually let's face it, the Dave Sitek remix of Survivalism was awful and Saul Williams' remixes weren't a whole hell of a lot better.
That article is great. I like how it elaborates onto Trent's post in the /tr section of nin.com.

Awesome article!
his idea of just releasing his album on his site for 4 dollars is pretty incredible...if thats the case....perhaps, after this next album (his last for a major label) we will get a new beginning for NIN...he won't be under any contracts or anything...totally free to do as he sees fit.
im excited! burning_eyes

I love how ******** up Fixed is. I really hope great remixes start coming out again. Recent contributors have just been awful for the most part.
I honestly enjoy most of the pre-With Teeth remixes. Year Zero songs have so much potential for remixes and apparently the Capital G ones are terrible? :/
Speaking of which, Capital G has been getting a TON of radio play. Not surprised.
