Nadeshiko had just sat down on one of the theatre's small chairs when someone's outburst began. At first, Nadeshiko managed to just ignore it, it wasn't much. But it got louder, and harsher. She was forced to cover her ears as the girl began screeching about how they were hurting people, people who were still mortal, who could feel the pain. It can't be true, I'm not hurting people. Nadeshiko argued with herself, not wanting to believe what the girl had said. She looked up and caught a glimpse of the girl running through the theatre. She stopped at the door, Shinobu right behind her and gave one final outburst, yelling at her. Nadeshiko watched as the girl disappeared out the theatres wide, double doors.
Nadeshiko took her hands off her ears, realizing how silly she must have looked. But she didn't care. Tears had long sprung to her eyes, making her want to just blink, over and over again, to hold them back. They pulled at her eyes, making their way out, running slowly down her cheeks. From what Nadeshiko could see, alot of people were upset, or crying. But, the young theif managed to wipe up the last tears and she stood up, walking over to Shinobu, and noticed Mitsukai. "Hey, it's been awhile, Mitsukai!" She called out, waving to the other girl. But her voice missed the usual spark or energy. Nadeshiko couldn't help it, the girl's words simply echoed through her head, no matter how hard she tried to ignore them.

Tomoyo turned slightly as Mitsukai passed her, then continued on her way, heading off to the kitchen. She might as well get something to eat. "Nia-san, Yuki-san, Yue-san, Kagami-san," she said by way of greeting when she entered. Tomoyo then went to one of the cupboards, and pulled out two small cakes of mochi.

Mitsukai turned her head when she heard the voice of a friend, Nadeshiko. She smiled and waved in return. "Yeah, a bit too long for my liking," she said cheerfully.
Nadeshiko was usually happy and cheery, but she didn't seem to be herself. Her nose was red and her eyes were slightly watered. She'd been crying, and it seemed a lot of people had. That Melora girl must have said something harsh while Mitsukai was still asleep.
"I over slept a bit, but can I ask what everyone is so upset about?" she asked in her sweetly voice. She felt so totally clueless and oblivious to the world for one of the first times. She usually knew what was going on all the time.

Nadeshiko smiled at Mitsukai, and nodded. "Yeah, it's been so long." She emphasized the word 'so' as if it had been forever since they'd seen each other. Mitsukai appeared as if she had just awoken, she still seemed sleepy or tired. Although, it was only the way she acted, slightly drowsy, that would tip you off; her hair and feathers were perfect, as were her clothes. Nothing was off. Just like Mitsukai. Nadeshiko giggled to herself, before looking back to Mitsukai in time to hear her question.
"Oh, well, I don't even know the girl.. But, she said.. uh.." nadeshiko fumbled with her words, so unlike her. She never hesitated in saying anything and now she just couldn't explain it. "Well, you know.. How we're immortal and all.. And we don't feel the pain when we get hurt.. That.. That girl.. Well, she said that when we get hurt.. Our pain, it transfers to someone else.. Someone called the 'bearer'.. We're hurting people! We're stealing their hapiness!" Nadeshiko sniffed back more tears. Sadness, yet, childish determination not to cry were clearly on her face, creating a sort of confused expression. "I don't know why I believe her.. I don't even know her..!"

Kagami's mind buzzed, her eyes wandering from all the faces around the room. She tried to quietly slip into the hallway, hoping that no one would take much notice. Her cheeks burned with embarassment as she closed her eyes and walked down the hallway a piece.

[Ack! x_X; Sorry I've kind of gotten behind, weekend posting is usually pretty bad-timing for me. I'm going to start back to Yuki's last post and work my way forward.]
Yue nodded at Yuki's suggestion, then smiled to herself as he all-but retracted it. Being around two unimposing people was certainly interesting, but it seemed like if they were ever to have any food prepared she would have to decide something.
"I believe that we have some leeks in with the fresh garden vegetables over there," Yue replied, tapping her chin thoughtfully. "...and perhaps some seshimi or grilled cod..." She trailed off and was about to begin gathering the items for their dinner when Nia rushed in like a small whirlwind and began tossing brusk comments right and left. Yue frowned a bit, not appreciating the way the small woman's attitude was affecting Kagami. The poor girl looked like she wanted nothing more than to disappear into a corner somewhere.
"Why thank you, Nia-san," Yue replied, her voice completely polite and entirely devoid of emotion, "I believe noodles would sound good with the grilled cod and leeks we were planning on preparing." She turned around and smiled encouragingly to the other two with her, most especially to Kagami. "Would you mind too terribly much preparing some place settings? We probably ought to expect a few more as well... say, six?"
What seemed like a look of relief passed across Kagami's face. Yue smiled to herself as she moved easily around the kitchen. There was no way she was going to allow a bit of rudeness ruin the good day she was having. When she finished her dishes, she filled a few serving platters and carried them out to the long, low table, leaving enough room for the noodle dish that Nia was preparing. "Let's see... are we missing anything?" Yue asked aloud to no one in particular.

Mitsukai stood there like a statue. She could see why everyone was so hurt and upset. But, that girl could be right. A thought popped into her mind, although it was sickly. She had to state it, even though it would probably make herself cry. "If this girl is speaking the truth, what happens when a pipe goes flying straight through our stomach's? Wouldn't that kill a mortal person? And if this so called 'bearer' takes all the pain for us, doesn't that mean we've probably killed them already? Which would mean there's more than one bearer to each of us..." Mitsukai's words trailed off at the end, but were followed by a smile. "Sorry, I got a little imaginative there. I didn't mean for it to sound that horrible." Her smile faded away slowly.

[Ohoohoohoo!!! I love the reactions! The more you guys ponder it the mroe it drives me crazy inside... HOO! I want to share the secret with you all, you guys know I'm soooo horrible at keeping my own secrets... urgh... but I must!! rofl
Still guys, I love to see your reactions to what Melora said... some of it's true... some of it isn't...
I'm gonna have to read over her posts... make sure I didn't go a little too far.

Shinobu couldn't stand it... there were a lot of people around her crying. But... these things were so horrible, Shinobu didn't want to believe them, she didn't want to hear that what she did hurt people...
But, it was all so logical, love and pain, two things that will never truly disappear. If you loved soemone, then, no matter how much you try, you will allways loved them, if you hurt someone, no matter how hard you try, it will allways hurt someone. Sometimes the two get mixed up, to create 'love pains' or 'painful joy'. Together, they created humanity, and they were the two strongest compnents of a human life.
'But,' Shinobu thought to herself, as she looked from theif to theif around her, their mouths moving, but no sound being heard, ' we are the same as humans, just because we don't receive the pain, it doesn't mean that it just 'goes away'.'
Shinobu truend, to leave, and then paused in her tracks.
It was all so difficult, so hard to handle... if only she could forget it all, and be as she once was, happy and carefree, what a world that wouldn't do for her.
'Oh Aoki... we should go soon... to do our mission. They're expecting us.' she messaged to her sister. 'It's bound to be a mission, we won't want to miss. Tomorrow morning we leave, now sleep, it's been a long day.'
Shinobu sighed as she watched the sun sinking below the clouds.

Nia smashed the pan on the table that was now set. And took a seat, starting to put food on her plate. Not waiting for any others, since that could take one minute or three hours. She started to eat, not really bothered by what the girl had said. So maybe our pain get's transefered to others, so what? We kill people everyday. The food wasn't bad but she liked it beter if someone else cooked.
Edit: I editted this post because Yuki made me stay on page 40.

Aoki glanced down the stairs. She honestly didn't care. So many things in the world were worse than what they did. They killed one, maybe two people a month... That was for everyone together. If they got hurt, it was usually a scratch or a bump, nothing that could honestly KILL person. Taking a person's posessions was simply something to pass time as they got older, their age might affect a person, but it would affect them to if they weren't immortal.
They did no less than a common thief would, and at least they didn't burn down villages, steal thousands of dollars a day, kill people for FUN. They only did what they needed to do to get some possesions. They didn't kill or get hurt often, and certainly not enough to hurt a 'bearer' so badly it would kill them on a daily basis, so pretty much, the only thing that bothered Aoki was the way the little girl put it. It cut through her soul and tryed to harm her inner being, but Aoki had more sense than that, she knew what she did wasn't as bad as others would do to her if they had the chance, and it was okay if they never died. They would always have friends, and a mear child younger than herself couldn't understand the pain of not wanting to be alone, especially after this little girl WANTED to be alone.
"Just let her go... She might know alot more about us than we do, but she has no desire to be here. She wants no place here, so if she wants to leave, we can give her no place here. We will always have room, though."
Aoki gave a half-hearted, but warm smile at everyone down the stairs, but frowned sadly and left after glancing at Koh and her sister. They looked so hurt, just thinking of what Aoki thought of the new knolwedge made her feel incredibly sick. Aoki grabbed her books and quietly made her way to her room.
'I probebly just did something stuiped. Again...' Aoki thought, opening a large book and scanning over the pages with watery eyes. 'Always the same... Why can't I just learn to hold my idiotic comments?'
Aoki closed her door and locked in a somewhat of a silence, or at least as good as it could be with almost twenty-five people running around. It was to hard to see the pages of her book anymore through tear-filled eyes... Aoki curled her hands into fists on the desk, salty tears dabbing a blank page in her book. She had gotten this at someone elses expense... She really didn't care, but seeing the two people closest to her look so unbearably sad, Aoki's heart felt like it would break in two.
'Ugh...' She thought between quiet sobs, despite her attempts to at least hide her eyes in her hair.

Nadeshiko forced out a feeble smile. "I don't want to kill people.. But.. It makes sense.." She said quietly. Nadeshiko herself never killed, she left it to people like Izumo who didn't mind it, but only whne they needed to kill someone. If it was possible, she avoided fighting all together. Nadeshiko wiped at a few stray tears that had run down her flushed cheeks, feeling completely drained. The bottomless pit of hapiness and energy that had always bubbled full felt.. empty for the first time in as long as Nadeshiko could remember. "Well, sorry, Mitsukai.. But I'm going to go to bed.." She looked at the other girl, still holding onto her forced smile somehow.
Nadeshiko turned and walked away, through the theatre. She headed for her own room. The one that had obviously at one point been a dressing room for performers before they hit the stage. It was small with alot of cupboards and a small desk with a mirror gathering dust in one corner. She arrived and walked into the room slowly, letting herself fall onto the makeshift bed in the far corner, oposite to the mirror. Usually Nadeshiko would stand infront of it for atleast an hour before going to bed each night, simply staring at herself. But tonight she ignored it and fell asleep, almost instantly as her head hit the small pillow.
