Oh that... Yeah, that's what I got for trying to use brute force. Truth be told, she had forgotten about it while she had been removing her wrists.
She wasn't sure if the kid could hear her or not, but still, it was better than alerting anyone that may have been watching by speaking aloud.
Kid? Come on, you gotta get me out of here, I really need to get this ankle taken care of, or it could get worse. You need to focus, please? She thought these words out with as much gentleness she could muster for one who had a broken ankle and had been strapped to a table.
(It's still dark, right?))

God...I...phew...OK...I'm going to try...
You can hear the soft steps grow closer as he attempts to move towards the final lock..
Alright...I'm going to use this wire to unlock the shackle...the girl who got me out did the same thing, and it worked pretty well...I kinda freaked out, though, and she left me...so...yeah. Here goes.
It took a while, but the lock eventually opened.
Tithe is free!
So...I'm gonna go now, OK? Good luck getting out of here...

You're leaving? Just like that? Jeez... And I thought it'd be a good idea to stick together, lest we run into the people that run this place. She thought to the boy, kind of miffed by the fact that chivalry was indeed dead in this day and age.
Then it hit her, You mean, there are others that were captured and got away?! Swinging her legs off over the table, she attempted to get up, being careful not to put any wait on her bad ankle as she tried to follow the boy in the darkness.

She knew the boy had stalled. He hadn't left the room just yet. Hah! Oh, how easy it was to control the young.
Y-you probably are going to need some help...but I...well, I'm sort of at a loss. What do you suggest we do?

Tithe smiled, at least she wouldn't have to brave the darkness alone. She had never really liked the dark, and now, with her newfound resentment of white, she found she preferred gray.
From this day forward, her favorite time of day would be dusk.
"Well, first we'll get out of this room. And then we can try and find that girl you were talking about. The more people we have, the less likely we'll get captured again; you were captured against your will, right?

He continued on with a little more confidence.
Well, yeah. I really have no clue how I got here. Damn memory's completely wiped. I don't even know what my name is...
But what about your ankle? I think you should camp here; walking on a shattered limb will do more harm than good.

Dang, he had her there, really, her ankle had shattered, not broke, which most likely meant it would take a miracle to heal, with fragments of bone floating freely beneath the skin.
Ugh, let's get away from that picture.
'So you can't remember how you got here either? Last thing I remember before I got here is, well, I'm not entirely sure. Only thing I can remember from before is that I was a free-diver, and my name is Tithe.'
As she thought these words to the kid, she tried to remember if the chair at the desk had been one of those rolling ones or not, if there had even been a chair at all.

[NOW YOU'RE THINKING!!! I was hoping you'd find that!]
It was. Hot damn.
Uh...that's cool. I don't have a name...not one I know of, at least...

(Yah, I've been contemplating that since Tithe shattered her ankle, I just was afraid it wouldn't be. See Tithe, everything ended up well... kind of.))
Well... You can't not have a name so... How about Jace? If it suits you, bring me the chair, and if you don't like it, bring me the chair anyway, it's the only way I'm gonna get out of this room.
She couldn't believe her luck, here she had been worrying how she'd get out with her ankle, and then she found out that there was a rolling chair in the room. Perhaps God was taking pity on her now?
While you're at it, could you perhaps check the drawer of the desk? There may be something useful inside. It was unlikely, but it couldn't hurt to check, could it?

Jace, eh...? That sounds good, I-I guess...
Let me get you the chair.
There was a large rattling sound, followed by an exasperated sigh. It took no brain surgeon to realize that the desk was unopenable...
However, the sound of wheels rolling by was like music to one's ears. When it stopped, about 3 feet away, the nervous voice returned with it.
So...what now?
Gained Party Member: Jace!
[He'll be posted sometime tonight.]

Stupid desk.
...
Lately, Tithe had come to realize that quite a few things about this accursed place were stupid. The table. The shackles. The light. The darkness. The desk.
What other stupid things might she find on her way out of here? Probably many, but in the end, there could be hundreds of stupid things and they would all be null in the face of the blessed roller chair.
Getting off the table, she gingerly placed her left foot down before quickly placing her right foot next to it, instantly shifting her weight onto the uninjured side.
Reaching out, she grabbed onto the chair and pulled it beneath her.
What we do now is we get out of this stupid room.
What they would do when they got outside, was another matter entirely, especially in her injured state.

S-sure, we can do that!
Pulling you along by the oaken armrest of your new "wheels", weussy-boy led the both of you to the heavy door separating the two of you and the hallway beyond. Checking back to make sure he had the green light, he hesitated and prompted,
You're sure? This is our last chance to rest and stuff...

Kiddo. There's nothing for us here. Onward and Outward
She hated the room. Who wouldn't after the trials it had put her through, breaking her ankle and whatnot.
It was time to explore the world outside the door, and find out exactly where she was.
Onward and outward. she thought, repeating the words that would lead them out to the hallways beyond.
