Im making an ichigo kurosaki released form of his zangetsu and im making out of wood so its pretty big and heavy, the thing is that I WANT to make a sheath covered in cloth to make it look as if its conected to the handle, you know so it will LOOK like it is just the sword all wrapped up when accually I can pull the real sword out any time. The thing is I have no idea what to make that sheath out of that can withstand the weight of the sword, but is still like light and ill be able to wrap the cloth around it....so the question is what should I make the sheath out of? because I dont want to carry that large sword around all day sad

So my plan was originally to make her sword out of wood but I was wondering if anyone had suggestions I could use to make it lighter because I'm not sure how heavy the final product with be if I make it from wood..... I'm making her armor out of fiberglass

Could anyone help me? I'm trying to make Yuffie's shuriken (from Final Fantasy VII) I've found a couple of Naruto shuriken tutorials I could modify, but this would be the first time I've ever tried to make a weapon so I'm a little wary about trying to modify a tutorial. If anyone knows of a tutorial that could help me I'd really appriciate it. I know next to nothing about weapon making; however, if anyone needs help making a Zelda costume, I am your woman. xd

It's not the best, it's not how I would make it personally.. but it's a good step by step on a way to make it. Unfortunately, I won't get to my tutorial for it for quite some time.

Jupiter Lightning The best prop I ever made.. Vincent Valentine gauntlet X.x"" Crappy quality photo, apoligies D: What sort of material did you use? My boyfriend is currently cosplaying as Vincent, and we tried the craft foam method. It turned out all right, but we're perfectionists and strive to make a better one.
