As Michelle dawdled and took her time on her way to the classroom, she realized the time and panicked so she started running, not wanting to be late. She finally reached the classroom doors and entered right before class had started. She sighed in relief as she had made it, but she caused a bit of a commotion since she entered with such an abrupt entrance. The professor made a face at her and motioned her to quickly take a seat. Michelle nodded. This was a writing class that she had convinced herself to take. Since she loved writing stories, especially fictional ones about vampires and werewolves, she decided that this would be good for her.

As Michelle searched for a seat, she was thankful that not everyone's attention was on her. When she followed some of their gazes to see what it was that distracted them, her eyes locked onto a boy. But not just any boy, the most gorgeous one that she had ever seen. He's so... beautiful. She commented. Indeed, his fair skin and alluring eyes were breathtaking, and for that first moment she was left in awe. "A-hum, Ms. Nuller, would you care to take your seat now?" The aggravated professor said as he awaited her to sit. "A-ah, right." she stuttered as she looked again for an open seat. Her eyes widened a bit as she realized that the only seat left was next to that boy. Michelle hesitated but talked sense into herself. It's just some amazingly beautiful boy, you can take it. She encouraged herself as she walked to her seat and sat down, trying to ignore the boy, and those that had watched her go to herseat.

((Oh, that's right >.< I guess that'll have to wait then.))

Patrick was doodling around the edges of his paper. Waiting for class to start. When he heard a bustle through the door. He looked up to find a girl out of breath, and who was looking at him. Her brown hair was blown in her face and her brown eyes were locked with his. But he was angry, not the girl or that she was looking at him, the fact that every thought she spoke was nothing but a faint fuzz.

He looked back down at his paper as she came to the seat next to him. As she sat down, he breathed heavy but stiffened. Patrick may have eaten this morning, but it wasn't enough to quench this thirst. It was as if her blood was calling to him, but he had sworn never to drink human blood. Slowly, his hands clenched, going whiter then his already fair skin. He had to last only only class period, then he would leave. There was no way he had his next with her.

As Michelle sat there, she could see the boy stiffen through her peripheral vision. Seeing his fair skin turn even paler and his fist clench only bothered her a bit. What's his problem? She asked herself as she tried not to take a peek at him. Yea he was beautiful, but that didn't excuse his behavior since Michelle figured he was just acting that way because she sat next to him.

Michelle fiddled with her pencil, twirling it with her fingers, trying to distract herself from the boy as the class went on. Then she accidentally dropped her pencil as she was twirling it. She froze as it fell to the ground and rolled over to the boy's foot. Great... She grumbled in thought, as she stared down at the pencil. She didn't know what to do. For all she knew, this boy didn't like her at the moment so she didn't want to ask him to hand her the pencil, but she couldn't just reach over and grab it without falling over. She took a deep breath and slowly looked up at the boy, "Can you hand me my pencil, please?" She tried to ask as normal as possible, but that was hard on account of trying to talk to a gorgeous boy who seemed to not like you.

He sat there for a long moment, deliberating on leaving the class, but that would be rude to just walk out. He knew what was going on the class, but there could have been somethings he did not know.

Hearing a clatter on the floor distracted him from what he was thinking. Looking at the floor he noticed a pencil, then looked up at the girl. She seemed hesitant to get her pencil. Then she turned to ask him to get it. He starred at her and made direct eye contact with her. Giving her a simple nod he gracefully picked up the pencil and put on her desk, avoiding any contact with her. Then sat back, and looked directly ahead not looking or saying anything to her.

After a long moment of silence the bell for the end of class finally rang. Patrick got up and swiftly and gracefully walked out of class. He was out of the class before even the people who were sitting in the front. Making sure there was no one around, he ran into the woods. He needed to quench his thirst before his next class started, and that was soon. Speeding past trees and getting further into the mountain, he saw a bear. And attacked with a grin on his face.

As he got to the edge of the trees he wiped the blood from around his lips, luckily he was not a messy eater and didn't get blood on his clothes. He walked to his drawing class, knowing that there was another possibility that the girl he sat next to in Writing might be in his next class as well. When he walked in the class room, the teacher had already assigned seat. Great...just like high school. Looking at the seating chart, he sat in the back, not paying attention to who sat next to him. He walked towards the back and sat down and set his things on the table.

Michelle watched as the boy quickly and gracefully picked up her pencil and set in on the desk before sitting back in his seat and turning to the front of the class. Michelle stared at him for a short moment, somewhat with disbelief. "Thanks..." she muttered as she too turned her attention to the front of the class. Well, at least that went better than I thought. As the class ended, and after Michelle put her first book in her bag and went to grab the other, the boy was already gone. She sighed with relief being that he was no longer around. She could finally relax. It was a while before her next class, so she'd though she's stop by her house to pick up her things and then just hang out for a while.

As Michelle walked into the classroom, she hummed to herself. Seeing that there were assigned seatings, she looked at the paper and scanned for her name. She finally found her name and looked at the one next to hers. "Alright, so I'm sitting next to Patr-" as she looked up at her seat, she cut off her words when she saw the boy, that same one, sitting in the seat next to hers. What the-! Michelle looked back and forth between him and the paper a couple times, not believing what was happening. "This can't be happening..." she grumbled to herself as she slowly walked to her seat. She dropped her bag on the table before sitting down, not once looking at him. She took out her sketchbook and began drawing. So his name is Patrick... she thought as she continued in her sketchbook. She didn't quite feel that that name even fit him, a beautiful boy like him. But she shook that out of her head, not wanting to even think about him at the moment. Now she was just going on in her mind on why God was torturing her like this.

((hehe this is fun ^^))

Patrick was doodling as he heard a someone walk into the room. Continuing to doodle, he ignored whoever it was and kept drawing. Footsteps were coming towards him as he doodled, then there was a clatter of things hitting the table. As the person sat down, he recognized the scent. It's her. He didn't mean it as a bad thing but was not at all surprised that she was in his class. It was a small town let alone a small college. They were bond to run into each other very often.

Looking at her, his face not so angry looking and knowing that his eyes would seem far more topaz than before, he quickly tapped her shoulder so she couldn't tell what his skin temperature was. Touching her would be a problem and there was a chance that he could expose what he was. "Excuse me, but I apologize for my rude behavior earlier." He gave her a soft smile. "The is Patrick. And you are...?" He asked politely. He knew ignoring her would be rude, and on top of that he knew he couldn't ignore her. He was glad that he had eaten before coming to class. If he hadn't, he would've lost control completely.

((I agree. ^.^))

Michelle jumped slightly at a quick tap on her shoulder. Although the touch was quick, she could have sworn it was like someone quickly tapping her with an ice cube. She ignored it thinking that she was making it up. She turned to see Patrick who excused himself for his behavior earlier and then showed a soft smile. Him talking to her in the first place caught her off guard, but his smiled caught her as well. It was like the smile of an angel, if that didn't sound too corny. But there really was no way to describe the feeling that it brought to her. "I-I'm Michelle." she stuttered a bit after realizing he had asked her for her name. "It's alright." she said, referring to what he said about his behavior. "I guess it's just good to know that I'm not already hated." She let out a nervous chuckle. She really didn't know what to say. This boy that was acting all strange to her earlier was now talking to her.

Patrick didn't like how he couldn't hear what she was thinking. Especially with the perplexed expression she was wearing. "It's nice to meet you Michelle. Like I said, it was rude of me to act so rudely." He looked directly at her, hoping she would at least look at him. Never in his life had he tried to get attention from a girl, at least not after he was changed. He could tell she was nervous, the way she responded to him tapping her shoulder, her stutter, and her laugh.

Before he could say another word the teacher started to talk. She started to ask the class to draw a rose, a simple rose. Walking around the room she handed each pair a rose. Patrick had drawn many roses, and even though he was in a drawing class, his skills were very advanced. As he started to draw, he remembered that he had to be careful around humans. He could draw extremely fast, but had to go at a human pace to make sure it wasn't suspicious. Though he was going at a human pace, he gracefully drew the rose perfectly in front of him.

Michelle nodded to Patrick as he spoke. When it seemed he was going to say something more, the teacher began to speak. She handed out the roses, and when she placed one on the desk Michelle and Patrick were at, she began drawing right away. Michelle was an acceptable artist, and could draw very well, but she didn't seem to draw so well at the moment. Perhaps because of what she was thinking about.

As she drew the rose, constantly looking back from the rose to her page, she was thinking about Patrick. She was thinking about how he was so rude before, and now it was as if he was trying to make up for it. Then she thought about how she was acting, still trying to avoid him. Michelle sighed, Well if he's trying, then I should do the same. She encouraged herself. She peered over at Patricks drawing, and her mouth opened in awe. His rose was like an exact replica of the model, and he had practically done it with no mistakes. "T-That's amazing!" Michelle said as she leaned closer to take a better look at his sketch. His was definitely better than hers, no doubt about that. She took a glance back at her sketch before returning her eyes to his sketch once more, "You're good." she said as she was still leaning to look at the picture, still amazed.

Patrick felt his shoulder's get tense as she leaned in to the picture. He could vividly smell her blood. Floral almost. Thankfully he had eaten, or would have been acting the same way he had in his previous class. Slowly his shoulders start to ease, getting use to the closeness, but still able to restrain himself without her noticing. She was more observant than he thought after seeing how she noticed his behavior in Writing. There was something about her that made her interesting to him. So was unpredictable, observant, and quite smart. But he knew for his own safety that he shouldn't talk to her or anything, revealing what he was would have dire consequences. His face hardened at the thought.

However he was still getting frustrated, not knowing what she was thinking or being able to look into her past memories. Keep his voice polite and calm, "Thank you, I've been drawing practically my whole life." Which was true, but he wasn't going to say how old he was. He looked at her paper which was very good for a human. "Your's is good to."

Patrick looked up at the clock to see that the bell would soon ring. The classes seemed to pass more quickly than he had remembered. Drawing was his last class for the day. He didn't need to come back anymore today, but they still had a couple minutes to wait.

Michelle laughed a little as she sat back in her seat, "Well, it seems like I've got some competition then. But that won't stop me, so you better watch out." she laughed as she smiled before turning back to her sketch and finishing her rose. She hadn't noticed it yet, but Michelle was already somewhat relaxed around Patrick, well at least to an extent at the moment. He was still this amazingly beautiful guy who sat next to her. Although Michelle never really let anything like that get to her, she liked a person based on who they were, and right now Patrick seemed like a pretty nice guy.

Michelle looked up at the clock. The class was almost over. Surprisingly, her day was going by pretty fast, but she still had another class and hour after that. Her next class was orchestra, so she would have to go pick up her Violin from home. She sighed. I should have better planned my schedule so I wouldn't have to be running all over the place... she thought.

Patrick softly chuckled as she challenged him. "We'll see." He cooned back challengingly. As he sat back in his chair, he kept a smile on his face, he liked Michelle's sense of humor. He felt almost human around her. There was a still a faint fuzz from her thoughts, and he was getting anxious. "What are thinking?" He couldn't help but ask, he needed to know.

As soon as he waited for an answer the bell rang tolling them to get out of class. He let out a sigh disappointed that he couldn't get an answer since she would probably hurry off to her next class.

"Huh?" Michelle said as she looked at him with a questioning face. Why did he ask her what she was thinking? Why would he want to know? The sudden ring from the bell made her jump slightly. It seemed she was getting caught off guard a lot lately. She set her things in her bag and slung the strap over her shoulder, and then faced Patrick. "Well, if you're wondering, I'm kinda wondering why you just asked that." she said as she laughed, "What is this about?" she asked as she took a small step towards the door motioning him to walk with her as they walked out. It wasn't everyday that someone asked you what you were thinking, unless you were in a debate class or something. He just asked out of nowhere.

Patrick chuckled softly at her slight jump then shrugged as he picked up his books and stood next to the table. Noticing her hesitation to go any further without him, he decided to walk along side her, but far enough so she couldn't tell that his skin was cold. "I'm just curious. I've always been very curious on people's thought, if they don't want to tell me, cool, if not, that's ok." He noticed he would have to be less broad on asking what she was thinking, she was more observant than he gave her credit for. Knowing that it meant he would need to be extra careful around her, he felt to open her as it was and the last thing he wanted was to expose what he was.

Michelle let out another chuckle, "Just curious, huh? I have to say, you may be the most gorgeous boy I've ever seen, and that's the truth, but you are also the most... interesting." she said as she laughed some more and looked at him and smiled. "Anyway, since you are so curious about peoples thoughts, I'd be careful. Though, it would be cool to know what someone was thinking. Even better would be to have the ability to read someones mind, but you'd have to be 'psychic' or have magical powers, or even be inhuman to do that." she paused as she laughed, remembering stories she'd read.

"But there's a reason why we shouldn't really be able to see one's thoughts. I mean, how would you like if someone knew your every thought, good and bad? Reading minds can be kinda good in a way, if you think about it in certain ways. But a mind is like your very own place. A place where you can go and, let's say, not be bothered by any one. Or just a place to keep away all your secrets, or to even get away from the world if you wish..." she trailed off a bit at the end as she got this part. That was something she used to do a lot. Michelle snapped out of it, "Anyway, It's kinda funny, really. I think that it makes things more interesting. It's better because then you get to know people better, learn about them at a calm pace. And eventually, they'll let you know their thoughts, and enter their minds." She paused to look at Patrick once more, then smiled, "I'm not so sure you're ready to enter my mind just yet." she teased as she laughed some more.
