Alliana was a bit too preoccupied with looking like she was going to box Tkal on the ears. Sighing, she started looking through her vest and pants pocket for some gold.
"I'm extremely sorry I keep telling him he's not allowed around expensive stuff, but damn teenagers never listen do they. How many lytes do I owe you?" she said, bringing out a purple money bag. Shaking out her black hair from her eyes she looked at the woman. Rena poked her head out from behind Alliana, saying,
"Oooh, it's a kitty."

Phoenix laughed at the woman’s expression. It seemed to Phoenis like she has gone through this multiple times. “Oh don’t worry about it. I know how teenagers are. I have a little brother. Died tragically in England. I left to here shortly after.” Her eyes held a sorrow, remembering dear Kayden. The boy reminded her so much of him. He was wreckless when he didn’t think. “That’s Nightmare by the way. It’s strange how she’s warming up to you. May I ask if you’re a vampire?”
She kneeled down and held her arms out for Nightmare. “Here kitty-kitty…” Nightmare jumped into Phoenix’ arms and purred. “Do you want to pet her?”

Rena put the bags down carefully and looked at Alliana hopefully. Running a hand through her long black hair, she mumbled,
"Okay yes you can pet it, but we need to leave..." Tkal toed the ground sheepishly, eyeing the cat as well.
"Yes, we're all vampires," he piped up. Alliana picked up the grocery bags and nodded to Tkal that he could pet the cat.
"I'm sorry about the mess I made," he mumbled. Rena looked at the cat with delight. Looking at Phoenix with interest, she murmured,
"Lost your brother in England? Wouldn't have happened during the war did it?"

She smiled at Natalia and Tkal. She found they were very smart for their age. “Yes he did in fact. My parents were one of the few original vampires, the elders. They loved eachother but fights got out of hand. They lead in eachothers deaths. And with just me and Kayden, it was hard to handle at my age.”
She let Nightmare down and he stayed obediently by her bare feet.
She took a breath and kept going. “The war came and he was fascinated with machinery it brought. I was only a couple seconds too late. And you-“ She brought her arm to caress Tkal’s cheek. “Remind me so much of him. So stay close to her so you don’t end up like my Kayden. Got it luv?” Phoenix’ eyes radiated their emerald luster.

Kai twitches on the floor, drooling slightly.
J beeps frantically, pouring water over Kai's face and giving him small shocks.
Kai groans and kicks J.
J growls in low beeps and grinding noises of his gears, he tases Kai one last time, sending high voltage surging throughout the bones of his master.
Kai rises from the floor, anger flowing from his eyes, he grunts and glares at J. He gains his composure and looks about, "Where the hell is everyone?" he scratches the back of his head and groans as he feels a sharp pain in his back, "What the hell, feels like someone used my back as a trampoline!" He cracks his back and roars viciously as he looks at J, "Status report J, whats goin on?" J beeps silently to Kai. Kai growls as his eye twitches slightly, "So the little bastards ported onto me huh?" he cracks his knuckles, "Time to bring discipline back into the world." he grins maniacally and thinks, "Er, on second thought...Alliana may kick my a** if I do that...." Kai sighs and goes to the dorms, lying on his bed he stares at the ceiling, "What am I doing? Eh screw it..." he taps J's shoulder, a gun jumps out and Kai immediately catches it and aims it at the corner, "A damn rat?" he groans, "I'm getting way to jumpy..." he hides the gun back into J and curls up as he dozes off.

Alliana looked solemnly at Phoenix, her throat constricted slightly. Tkal looked abashed again, cheeks tinged slight pink as he looked at the floor.
"Okay..." Tkal glanced at Alliana and she felt a slight sense of protectiveness wash over her.
"These two lost their parents during the war too...I found them when they were just 8. The village had been decimated and I found them hiding in a smoldering barn." She ruffled Tkal's hair, willing to cheer him up. Rena hugged Alliana affectionately and Alliana turned a bit pink.
"Okay okay the one thing I don't need is for everyone to get teary eyed..." she said gruffly. The war held painful memories for her as well. She tried clearing her throat but her voice still sounded gruff.
"Well children, I think it's time to head on back to the ship perhaps. For all we know, Kai has eaten all the meat and has started eating his pillow..."

Phoenix deeply admired Allaina for her strength. It took every part of Phoenix not to rip herself apart at the name of her brother. “Sorry for asking, but is there anyway that maybe…” She looked down and bit slightly on her lip. “Take me with you? I don’t care where it is. I’m going crazy here. These bloody people have me driven up the walls.”
She laughed slightly, in remembrance when she had Nightmare cornered. He attempted to run up the wall, but horribly failed. Silly little bloke... Phoenix continued to look down as if she found her feet the most interesting thing in the universe. [I ]Please, please, please, please, please! Her thoughts got louder each time the word please was said in her head.

Alliana looked at Phoenix, her face suddenly with a pained look. God...I know what's it like to hurt, believe me... Rena and Tkal looked up at Aliana, with pleading eyes. Coughing into her hand, Alliana finally said,
"I'd be glad to take you." she said softly. Hesitating, she put her hand on Phoenix' shoulder and gave it a light squeeze.
"We're your new family now. And we're glad to have you." Tkal burst into a grin and exploded,
"You're going to LOVE being on a pirate ship!!!" Alliana shot Tkal a dirty look and he covered his mouth.
"Oops.." Alliana looked around, as if there might be anyone else in the store.
"Heh, we'll fill you in on the details when we're back in the ship," Alliana said nervously, tussling her hair, smiling nervously.

Phoenix' smile seemed to light the whole room, her bright smile exposed her fangs. "Oh, no worries luv. I don't care where you're bloody taking me. And I'm very good if force is ever needed."
Nightmare gave a worried "Mreow" and looked into her eyes.
"No that won't happen again! Is wear I only do things once and-" She grew slightly abashed. "I mean..hehe...let's go." She turned around and signaled for everyone to follow.
She went through her doorway. She pushed a button, releasing one of the walls and another shown itself. "I love weapons...what can I say. Choose what you need. There are also much other tech. Not sure what I bloody make anymore." She laughed and kept walking. "I'll get my things and we'll be off. Tkal, you are allowed to touch, but not break."

Tkal almost zoomed at the weapons, but Alliana grabbed him by the scruff of his neck and placed him gently on the ground so he wouldn't run headlong into the shelf.
"Never ends with you," Alliana sighed. Rena browsed the weapons slowly, after awhile saying,
"Wow she's got some pretty cool stuff...and Allianaaaaaaaa can I have a cat?" Alliana twitched.
"TWO animals? No. Nightmare will have to be enough for you." Tkal oohed and ahhed over things, but everytime he attempted to pick one up, Alliana promptly tapped his knuckles.
"Last thing I need is for you to plasma this shop to kingdom come."

Phoenix laughed slightly underneath her breath. “Nightmare will be the only thing you can handle. He’s a big bundle of fur is what he bloody is.” She looked down at her cat. “I love ya but it is true. Now go to Rena.” Nightmare obediently obeyed and sucked up to Allaina and Rena. He even snuggled up to Tkal.
She managed to keep her things limited to her favorite black leather backpack. Everything she held close and couldn’t leave without was in there. She carried clothes, pictures, an art notebook that held her doodles, poetry, art, etc.
She quickly put a pair of skinny jeans that hugged every inch of her but the area of her ankles. Her black chucks, drawn and written on, were put on her feet. She wore a black jacket with thumbholes with the hood up.
Phoenix walked out her bedroom door and into the main room. “Found anything? It’s my thank you to bring em with you. She picked up a plasma gun that looked too ordinary. Phoenix picked it up and found the small outer attachment. She snapped it into place and locked the trigger. Opening her backpack, she had a compartment to put it in and did so. She looked back up, a smile forming on her face. “Now let’s get goin shall we?”

Rena was delighted with Nightmare and played with im whilst Alliana and Tkal browsed the weapons.
"Please please PLEASE?" Tkal whined.
"I'm almost fifteen, can I PLEASE have a plasma gun?" Alliana massaged the bridge of her nose, muttering to herself. I did promise him, she thought. Dragging her fingers through her hair she said grudgingly,
"Okay, ONE. And not a big one!" Tkal's face lit up with joy, his red eyes brighter and his fangfs glinting in the light. He picked up a rather ordinary plasma gun, stuffing it in his tunic. Alliana looked at Phoenix as she came out. "Oh well..." Alliana took 5 weapons off the table, letting them float in the air.
"Well if you're all packed then....Rena got the groceries? I hope you're not afraid of phasing," Alliana said calmly as she looked at her watch, adjusting the settings for the phaser to allow 4 people, objects, and a cat.

Phoenix looked over at Allaina. “Out of all the things to be afraid of luv. It isn’t gonna be a bloody- holy hell!” The phasing took her slightly by surprise. Honestly, she didn’t even knew what “phasing” was. Well I sure bloody know now… /her posture remained slightly slouched with her hair slightly curled from not straightening it out. Her blonde bangs continued to cover her right eye as usual.
The hood of her jacket went down on its own. Her eyes widened at the sight of Allaina’s ship. A girl with an unusual coloring skin passed by. She was polite by not staring much. Phoenix looked back to Allaina. “Is there anything you need me to do? A specific job maybe? I’m good with my hands…cooking too.” She decided to walk a short distance and admire the ship for a small while. “Oh- could I possibly put my stuff down first? Sorry if I ask too many questions.”
Phoenix looked over her shoulder at the teens. She smiled and turned her gaze down at the floor. Nightmare twirled in and out of her ankles.

Alliana had chuckled softly at Phoenix's surprise at phasing. Natalia passed by, talking to J. She wondered where Kai was.
"Oh yes, I'll show you to the dormitories. Let me just give you a brief introduction to the rest of the crew. This here is Natalia and the bot's name is J. He belongs to our other new crew member, Kai." Natalia tilted her head and then smiled at Phoenix.
"A pleasure to meet you Phoenix." she said with her airy voice. J beeped his salutations as Rena and Tkal ran off to put the groceries away. Alliana then guided her out of the control room and to the left passing three rooms and knocking on the fourth.
"Kai? You busy? I have someone to introduce you to!" Alliana looked at Phoenix as she waited for a response.
"Oh since you're a mechanic you'll be assisting Kai and Natalia. Errrr we had a slight run in with the Bathars a couple days ago. We need to reinstall the defense system and several other things and it's going to take a long time to get set back up. And it may not look it, but my ship is.....large to put it simply. I'll give you a tour later. Oh and your room is right next to Kai's," she said pointing to the next room over.

"Thank you luv. It means so much to me cause I don't want to look like a total blonde... though I am one." Phoenix laughed to herself slightly. She observed Natalia and J. "Pleasure I'm sure." She hugged Natalia then walked over to pat J on the head.
Phoenix obidiently followed Allaina through her ship and observed each detail of the ship. Kai...wonder what he's like... She stood next to Allaina in front of Kai's door.
"Another mechanic? That'll sure make my bloody job a ton easier..." Pheonix though of the work that had to be done to the ship. She smiled, looking at the door next to Kai's room. "But I'll be in here if anyone needs me. Just knock."
