"Either my soul, or the power of the holy spell that was cast upon me long ago, I suppose. I am not completely certain about what it is that you are feeling," Ayumu wasn't surprised that Yuuka was sensing something from him.

"No, I do not believe so. You are safe under my boughs," Ayumu said calmly as if he had a great deal of confidence that their safety was secured by the spell's effects.

Ayumu would have nodded if he had a head to nod with. Instead he remained silent as Yuuka sat down.

((really? i thought making him modify the spell for pervy purposes would have been interesting rofl . but no, must preserve the story xP . anyhoo, i guess we'll wait for the others to get here 83 ))

"Ughhh..." Zeph teetered before he fell to his knees. Zeph looked up and saw a glimpse of the large black wolf running towards the tower.

Zero groaned as Dusk's image faded away. "I'm not gonna like this...then again, when do I ever like what Dusk tells me to do?" He looked over to Echo, who simple shrugged at the question. "No matter, I have to do it in order to protect the people of this clan. Echo, gear up. You are coming to the lobby to keep watch while I'm away. Gabriel, I want you to test the auto defenses. Nothing has worked right when you went offline, but with you protected by the Artifact up in the Chapel, the interior defenses of these these floors should still work. If not, activate the Dreadnought, it's the only thing with old enough tech to not be affect by Hell's aura, you should be able to link with it easily." Echo nodded, heading to the machine shop in the next room, he pulled off two Bolter rifle and attached them to his back. As he turned, he paused for a moment to look at the Dreadnought. It was nearly 3 times his size and the shop was built around it so it could freely move when needed. A couple of the large steam generators kicked on as Echo headed back to Zero, Gabriel was still testing the extent of his abilities in the mostly down-graded room, and was using the electricity from the generators to try and kick start some of the old auto turrets and the Dreadnought.

Zero grabbed his weapons and stepped into the lift, Echo following right after him. Although the lift resembled that of an old elevator, it still served the purpose that the old one did. There was still only one shaft between all the floors, and the size of the lift cart could easily be used to seal off the top levels from the ones below if need be. The pair then descended down to the lobby.

Once there, they both scanned the room for anything suspicious. Every now and then a demon sneaks in, and even though they weren't allowed to harm anything, they still are a huge annoyance. The old front blast door had been modified over the years, without power from the old reactors, it was near impossible to open due to it's weight. A hole was cut in the door and was now filled with a heavy metal 'plug', it resembles a large gear that could be rolled over the entrance and locked into place, and for the time being, it could only be unlocked easily from the inside. From the outside it was like a large safe, with a long and complicated combination, one that Echo and Zero had memorized.
