The ground rattled slightly as another shuttle came to a stop almost directly overhead, it was another group of recruits. Seeing as only about 15 could fit in a shuttle at a time, there were several shuttles coming from all over the place to the academy. This one hovered until it gained landing clearance, then parked next to the one that Steven, Rhiannon, Jamie, Morgan and James had been in, letting out another group of teenagers. The group of waiting academy students began to grow.

Ah, well I really hope you hear me when I say that I honestly had no intentions to touch you. Not that I am saying that I would never want to, because I mean, well," Steven said, his words getting gradually sporadic, "My name is Steven." He extended his hand in one last attempt at apologizing, because up 'til now he was only making things worse.

"Than I guess I enjoy laying cards down based on an arbitrary rule." He said softly and set a few more cards down. "But what game is not that?" He looked up at him and grinned. He had some how managed to seemingly put his entire deck into his pile and how his hands were empty. "This game is fun." He said and drew a swirl pattern in the dust near his knee. He had cheated, but that was not against his moral code.

"Oh."' He took the cards out from his sleeve and re-dealed. "sorry." He said and started over. He blushed a little, but hardly enough to be noticeable, right? His hands brushed over the cards and he took it slow and steady. His gaze shifted down at his hands.

"The number of cards on your side of the field only goes down when you play them on my side," Morgan explained, trying to stifle a laugh as Jamie pulled the cards from his sleeve.

"That is true." he said and cautiously placed a card on the other boy's side, waiting for a swift and efficient rebuttal. He cringed slightly as he pulled his hand back. He expected to he hit or maybe even cursed at and he looked into the boy's eyes waiting for a response.

In the time Jamie had taken, Morgan had dropped three cards - two on his own side, one on Jamie's. "Queens," he called, dropping a card on one of them.

"Pardon?" He asked confused. He was not quite sure what he meant by 'queens'. "I don't know." He shook his head and leaned back slightly. He looked a little frustrated by this game.{good night}

Morgan deliberately set a 2 down on a queen. "Sometimes I'll call out card pairs as I see them. It helps newer players, and against experienced players I can throw them off by calling fake ones."

"Ok." He said and took the pair, He was still moving rather slowly, but he was starting to get the game. "How did you learn this game?" He asked curiously, it was very strange so it must have come from someone interesting and unique.

"An ex of mine taught it to me. A lot of people played it around school when I was growing up," Morgan explained, the irony of saying that statement when was wasn't even 18 not lost upon him. "I'm not even the fastest from my old group of friends," he added. "When Jesse and Veronica played each other, nobody could even tell what was happening, they went so fast."

"What school did you attend?" He asked warmly, it was more than likely he had been there for at least a month his father had put him in so many different places. They traveled a lot and he always tried to stay in school. "It sounds fun." He smiled and set down a few more cards.
