Ross growled deep in his throat, snapping at the man's face. He paused and ended up laughing, stepping off. "You're a funny one. I like that about you. You got guts too. That'll take you far," the lion noted.

"Bad idea!" Cordel leaped at the laguz, dropping his lance in the process. He slipped on the dropped weapon, and landed short of his target.

Anna burst out laughing.
Mr Fussy Pants was SO much more tolerable in her mind now: he had brought her this fantastic moment to see: EPIC FAILURE, CORDEL STYLE.

Ross chuckled, shifting back to beorc form, lifting his hands slightly. "It's allright. I'm not going to harm you. You two seem like nice people. I'm sorry for startling you," he said, turning to Anna. He tilted his head a bit, looking the girl over. "You're pretty," he said simply.

"Startled? Bah! I'm not scared by Laguz." Cordel pushed himself up and pointed the lance at the man. "Why the sudden change?"

The laguz blinked, getting over his distraction, turning back to the other man. "What was that? Oh, right. My sudden change of heart. Well... let's put it this way. I was only ever popular with myself and Joanna... and I thought it best to try and meet some new people," he said, sort of mumbling the last part.

"Wait, what? You meet new people by trying to kill them or having them try to kill you? No wonder you only have one friend," sliding his lance into a special case he had made, Cordel turned to Anna. "And you're almost as worthless as an axe is to an archer!" He barked, jabbing his finger at his sister.

Ross lowered his head, scratching behind his left ear. "Joanna isn't a person..." he admitted, pulling his hand mirror from his bag. "This is Joanna."

"A mirror. Your 'friend' is a mirror," Cordel thought for a moment. Someone's a bit crazy... "That is the stupidest thing i have ever heard. But it seems fitting that a crazy laguz such as yourself would have a crazy 'friend'."
