My thing is, yes in their past lives that was them, but it's STILL them. That's the whole concept of Starseeds. At the core (And remember I'm going by Manga more then Anime. As Anime was so freaking sexist towards men it was inane and drove me insane) you're STILL the same person.

That's what Queen Serenity told Luna. That she's suppose to look out for Princess Serenity -No matter what- her body looks like.

And for the record, I would state that Usagi and Mamoru would've gotten on just -fine- without knowing of their past selves. Actually- they have. It's Canon in the books. They're shown to actively being closer, Mamoru knows Uasgi's identity as Sailor Moon and she finds out his after he helps her in a particularly tough battle and takes her to his place where she can rest up.

They -both- are having strange dreams. Hers is about someone is calling her through this fog. His is about someone calling him to help find the Silver Crystal.

Not only that- adding to the point that Chibiusa DOES sort of solidified that whole " They have to get married" deal. Because, it's Magical Girl. And That's how they roll on that.

*Coughs*

Anyway, The point I made with that is that I've seen so many Rpgs where Usagi doesn't get with Mamoru (I'm FINE on that as long as it's convincing.) but Crystal Tokyo STILL exists without her being married to him and still Ruling over Earth.

THAT is what makes me so angry often!

Huh..Haruka and Mamoru? *Am going to look that up.* Anyone can be a couple if it's convincing enough.

Either way, This is probably the ONLY one where I stick a bit to Canon about anything.

Yeah we don't have proof about Michiru/Haruka's past selves- that's true- but on the same token they both realize and know that their duty to their princess comes First and For most.

Now, with Mamoru and Usagi- well come on, they died for each other. Literally.

In the Manga Serenity does the dialogue where she wishes on the crystal (Or was it Usagi?) that she and Endymion(Mamoru) would find each other again.

I'm not one to tote around and say this but- Those two Usagi and Mamoru, were destined to find each other.

HOWEVER- the stipulation that they would STAY together is entirely up to them.

They all had the choice or a moment in time where they could say "No, this isn't working, lets never be together"

(Note: I Go off Manga. Anime is dead to me in this because it doesn't follow with the original storyline ever.)

But guess what?

They stuck it out. Through doubts, through everything- they talked it out with each other. <- THAT is what Couples really do.

This is why Haruka and Mamoru are suited for who they were set for.

Haruka expresses doubts and is upset over something- she's going to talk to Michiru. Michiru-the same thing- they find solace in each other.

Same with Mamoru and Usagi.
