Leo didn't move. He heard the sound of feet running towards him, but with the wind against him he could tell what it was. If he was lucky maybe it would be a hungry bear or angry moose, come to finish him off.
The blood in the water around him began to dispell, leaving his lower half and legs and nearly halfway up his front paws clean of blood. Not that it cleared him, there was still plenty of dried blood on his ears, back, and upper belly. Fish, attracted by what smelled like a meal, were swimming around him, occasionally nibbling his fur.
All Leo could do was run through the fight in his head, over and over. 'I should have done this' and 'Why didn't I do that' questions kept popping up. He couldn't crush his overwhelming sense of guilt.

Aegel noticed the scent was coming from the lake so she ran as hard and as fast as she could to that direction. As she got closer the stronger the scent was the more worried she got. Something was wrong she just knew it.
Aegel burst through the undergrowth to the lake and skidded to a stop to find Leo wadded(sp) out in it with blood on him. At that momment she felt very scared and didnt know if she should apporach him or wait.

((I think it's waded, but I knew what you meant in any case. Oh, I probably should have done this earlier, but can we have it so Aegel know's the Leo named her son Dakari?))
Leo sat there for a moment. If this was an attack, it sure was taking forever. Maybe he was just too still or something. Slowly Leo turned his upper half, so that he was still sitting in the lake. And he really wished it was a bear or moose. Anything but Aegel.
Leo didn't really know what to do at this moment. What could he do? What could he say?! There was nothing to make this better, nothing to make any of this right. Not without Dakari around his paw!
"Aegel......-," Leo tried. His voice caught. It frustrated him for some reason. Couldn't save Dakari, couldn't face Aegel! A torent of emotions whirlwinded inside of him. All Leo could do was let his head drop, staring at the mud and rocks of the shallow lake bottom.

Aegel decided to stay on the shore. But she studyed Leo's every movement. It was stiff at first as if he was hurt and ready for another attack. When he looked her way he imeditatly dropped his head and gaze. Why wouldn't he meet her gaze? She tilted her head in confusion.

Leo forced his muscles to move. He turned and headed out of the water, back towards land. He stopped once he reached the store, pebbled smoothed from decades of wear under his paws. Though more than half of him was covered in blood, his clean, bright green paws painted the picture. The entire reason why it felt like his heart was slowly being ripped out, millimeter by millimeter.

Aegel could tell that Leo was coverd in blood and that made her extremly worried. She took three cautionet steps toward him unsure of how he will react to another fox being around with him so hurt. In a gental voice she called out "Leo? Leo hun are you ok? What's wrong?"

((XD Well we're almost at five pages, and drama is always so much fun! So we gonna go with Dakari being nameless to them right now then? *can go back an edit posts if so*))
"... took him, ... gone." Most of what Leo said was muttered to the ground. It took everything the male had to force his head up and make his purple eyes meet Aegel's gray ones. What she saw, he wouldn't know. He was in too much agony to care. He'd already lost the BCR he'd come to think of as his own. How could he lose Aegel too?
But how could he not tell her. Leo tried again, but words once more stuck in his throat. "Sin took .... son. Tried .. fight ... ..., .. tricked me, took ... kit." Leo felt as though something was building inside of him as he spoke, something powerful and demanding release. He looked into Aegel's eyes, pleadingly. "So sorry."

Aegel heard what Leo said but it was broken and just wasnt making any sence. Kit gone? Fear started to sink in as the words sunk in. Son gone...her son was gone? No way could that be possible. Her eyes scanned him for the BCR that contained her son and when it was no where to be found she looked up and locked her gaze with Leo. She heard him whisper sorry and that was it she started to cry.

No, not this. Anything but this. Leo didn't want Aegel to be sad. Not that he expected her to be happy, of course. But anger was more what he was expecting, maybe even hoped for.
"Please ....." The second word got stuck in this throat. Maybe it didn't even exist. That one word just about seemed to cover every request Leo was making of Aegel in this moment. He just couldn't seem to give voice to any of it.
((How exactly to you pronounce Aegel's name?))

((I'm not really sure. its not japanese which is what i kno how to say. i think Kat helped me pick it so she might know))
Aegel layed down where she was trying to hold back her whimpers. Her mind was in chaos, her heart breaking. She felt as if her whole world had just been distroyed. Hiding her head between her paws she layed there trying to understand things. The more she thought the more she got upset and the more angery she became.

((I've been saying it like a super fancy way to say 'An eagle'. *thinks* Like Ah-eh-guh*g sound*-el. No idea if that's even close >.>
Also the fact that Leo still have lots of blood on him makes me want to toss him all the way in the lake! *twitch*))
"Aegel?" Leo came closer, just a few feet away from the distressed female. He wanted to comfort her, but how could he do that when there was no comfort within himself?
Overhead the sky began to darken. Large steel-gray clouds bustled forward like businessmen with an appointment. The distant sound of thunder reached Leo's ears.
((The mood seemed to dark for sunlight *innocently NOT plotting rain just to give Leo a bath*))

Aegel's ears twitched and her tail wrapped around her. Keeping her head low she asked with barely a voice"What happend to Dakari? What happend to my baby?" She yelled the last bit in pure anger and distraught. Aegel looked up at him with angry eyes and tears running down her cheeks.

Leo's eyes darkened a little with emotion. "Stolen. Kidnapped, by the elder of Cruor tribe." His voice was rough and a little on edge, but not because of Aegel or anything she had said. With her gray eyes staring straight into his, it was impossible for Leo to keep emotions contained.

Aegel stood up. Growling she asked"How? Why?"She was shaking in fury. She advanded on Leo and stared him down. "Why the hell does the Cruor elder have him?"

Leo stood tall and straight, though his limbs trembled a little. Not from fear, no. He was too busy trying to contain his emotions to let fear slip through. It was more like an energy flow, like when you're all jazzed up and ready to run only to be stopped for some reason or another.
Leo kept his sentences as short as he could. His words were clipped and terse, as though he was reluctant to let any of them fall from his lips. "I strayed on their land. Their elder was there. We fought. He tricked me. Stole Dakari. Probably to add to the tribe."
