Kall pinned his ears against the pained sound, and turned, trotting to the falls. The cool water thundering so near gave off a light mist, coating his fur and easing his worry-cramped muscles. Hidden in the grey rocks, a slightly dished bowl shaped stone came to his paws. A piece jutted out to the side, so he picked it up, filled it with water, and carried it carefully back toward the den.

Fayola wouldn't have noticed her mates reentry in the den, so occupied was she by what was going on inside of her.
The green lioness collapsed a half-hour later, three wet bundles by her side. The new mother gathered enough strength to lick them clean and guide them to their food. A small, content purr rumbled through the cave as she lapped up some water.

Kall curled around his mate's back, purring to her and gazing at her cubs. A soft twilight filled the cave, the setting sun almost nearly gone. Sitting as they were, they could see the last traces of light leaving the sky, and view the whole of the lands. Kall gave a rumble of pleasure and contentment. "Would you.." He cleared his throat with a rumble. "Would you, be my Queen?" He flinched as the words left him, pinning his ears as though ready to block out rejection.

Fayola's head snapped up and around to see the chocolate brown lion. "Your...your queen?" Once again her breath had been snatched away from her. It was becoming very normal for her to feel that way around Kallivenion.
Her tail lashed through the air and her gold eyes dropped to their cubs. "Queen..."
Never had she expected to be offered such a rank. And with Kallivenion? Her mate and love... "Yes, yes I would..." She bumped her King's jaw with the top of her head, the purr growing louder.

Kall grinned and rumbled pleasantly, rubbing his face against her's and sliding closer to her, so their sides touched. "I... I am very glad." He said with a smile. "Very."
The tiny male moved over sligtly, curling against his mother's foreleg to doze off.
Kall eyed the tiny ball of fur with a smile and shining eyes. "They are perfect."

Fayola leaned into her mate, a look of perfect happiness on her features. "They need names..." She nuzzled the little male. Her Prince.
"Keyisha for our first Princess."

"Perfect, like her mother." He purred, nosing her tenderly. He eyed the Prince. "Ferrian.. " He smiled. Watching the little Prince move in his sleep.
The tiny female, the smallest and youngest of the litter, gave a feeble mewl, curling against her mother. She shuffled over to near where her brother slept, and curled between him and her mother, settling.
"A speedy thing." Kall grinned. "Dashira?"

"Ferrian and Dashira...I like those names." The new Queen laid her head on her paws, nuzzling the tiny princess and chocolate prince.
The larger female stayed curled up by her mother side, fastly asleep. Keyisha was content, her stomach was full and she was safe with her parents. All was well in her world.

Kall smiled and nodded, resting his head on Fayola's back, so he was better to keep an eye on his family as well as watch the lands.
Ferrian stirred, shuffling closer to his mother and sister, and settled once more with a tiny mew.
His movements did not disturb Dashira in the slightest, for she too was content, and fast asleep.

Whisper padded quietly up to the den entrance, her eyes low to the ground. She had been off, hunting. She gently dropped her kill, some nicely sized jack-rabbits, at the mouth of the cave for the new family, and walked back to where her son sat beneath a tree by the river. She smiled to him, her eyes shining both from the love for her son and the depression of losing her own family. She nuzzled him, then laied down with a content sigh.
Blare watched as his mother went to give them the kill, then as she came back. He settled in beside her, smiling as he began to purr.

Kall watched Whisper enter and exit after leaving her gift. As silent as her namesake, she would not have awoken him had he been sleeping as his mate and family. However, he was not, and so, he slid away and stood, padding after her on silent paws. The den was large enough for at least a dozen lions to sleep comfortably, he wanted her and Blare to come in. "Whisper.. Join us inside won't you? And young Blare as well." He murmured, pawing at the cub with a smile. "You are the cubsitter, it won't do to have you so far from your charges."

"King!"
Whisper exclaimed, embarassed as she lept to her feet. Her eyes blinked quickly, trying to focus on the brown and cyan king infront of her. She smiled sheepishly, blushing bright red under her soft grey coat.
"No, we couldn't possibly! Not yet, at any rate. The Queen needs time to bond and rest with her new family."
She told him, her voice almost inaudiable.
Blare blinked up at him from the ground, a lazy smile stretching across his face.
"Hello!"
He said, dazed. He stood wobbily to his feet.

The new Queen was jumpy with leaving her cubs alone, but she wandered to the mouth of the cave. A small, gentle smile was offered to the other female. "Please...please come inside with us." She was still weak from the birthing, evident only in her voice.
"I...I know I will need your experience..." The green fur colored red. "I do not know what to do..." Other then instincts Fayola was lost.

"very well, but only if you two insist. I will help with the hunting if you want me to, King. And I can help you with the care of your cubs. But only a little, for I wish them to not get confused with who I am and who you are."
She said, her voice light and jovial. She was glad they wanted her there with them. She smiled, walking back to the cave with them, Blare at her side.
"Now Blare, you must be quiet around the new cubs. They aren't as strong as you are."
"Yes momma."
The young lion responded sleepily, a wide yawn used as punctuation for his sentance.

The green huntress smiled at her King and turned back into the cave. One of the jackrabbits was seized and she curled up around her cubs. Each one was giving a loving nuzzle before she ate. "Thank you for this food, Whisper."
