trekkie81 [Manga~Rain] its all that guy who plays Cameron's fault, he was on Farscape, and that got canceled, then he moved to Stargae SG-1, and then it is going to be canceled. You can't really blaime it on Claudia Black, cause she was there in promethius unbound, so she was already part of the cast, and that was what? two seasons ago? For your information Farscape was cancled because they ran out of money to film more episodes. Ben could still be a jinx though wink

eek surprised xd I was just watching Conan O'Brian and Pierre Bernard came on with his 'Recliner of Rage' thing. He totally rapped on the Sci-fi channel and the vice president of the Sci-fi channel (Stern or something) for canceling the show! *squee* He also mentioned SGA and BSG! biggrin 3nodding

Stargate has just reached its peak, and will soon (if not already) begin to decline. 10 seasons is great, but be realistic people, the actors probably want to do something else.

Stargate has had it's run. It's been saved three times now and has been allowed to run for ten years, but now it's time to let it go. I am also just as mad as anyone else who loves the show, but unfortunately, it's curtain call.
If you remember, back in Season Five, Sg-1 was dropped by Showtime, then picked up by the Sci-Fi channel for Season 6. Then, during Season 7, they got word that Sci-Fi was cancelling the show and MGM was going to produce a movie. It was then saved again, just to be told it was being cancelled after Season 8. Now it's been two years since the last supposed "cancelling," and I think Stargate has used up its bag of tricks.
I personally hate the fact that the show is ending, but it has been running for ten years. Atlantis is there to pick up the slack (and quite a few cast members, including rumors of Michael Shanks and Amanda Tapping), and soon there will be a third show. Until then, let's just enjoy the remaining few episodes we have left when they air in March (US), and if you really want the show back for another season, go to the online petitions, download episodes on iTunes, and watch the episodes WHEN THEY AIR (no tivo). Maybe, if Sci-Fi execs see that the fanbase is still there, they will try for an 11th season.
Oh, and by the way, MGM and Sci-Fi have confirmed two Direct-to-DVD movies, so Sg-1 isn't done yet.

Megaru Ryuuji At this point, my main hope is that they manage to move some of the more loved characters TO Atlantis (maybe Daniel or Carter?). I would be interested in seeing Daniel in Atlantis, but NOT Carter. McKay is my favorite character, and she brings out the worst in him. What I love about SGA is that the characters are human, rather than superheroes. Moving Carter would change that, IMHO.

Carter is good though! i really dont like mckay coz he is way to cocky and mean! love shep though, he's cool! daniel WAS gonna go atlantis till cam pulled him back to sg1. honestly, the show should go on, at least anpother season or 2 just to make a climatic point and end it with a movie! the show cant go on forever, so lets end it while everyones still interested =] as for atlantis, they could do maybe 5 seasons if their on the edge, but it would be nice to see some more (how many seasons are there? 3?)
