Bronnie mumbled an answer, and carefully rested her head on his shoulder. Carefully, because she didn't want to jab him with the end of her horn. That would not have been good. At all.
"Cy..."

Cyrus decided he quite liked sitting like this. Was this how Rhiannon felt when she sat so close? It would certainly explain a lot...
Any thoughts of the other girl fled when Bronnie spoke his name though. He glanced down at her and swiveled an ear in her direction. "Something more on your mind..?"

"I dunno. But this is nice." It was definitely better than worrying about things. It was all comfortable and cozy and...
It occurred to her that this would be a really bad time for her mother to come check on her. Bronnie willed her mother to stay downstairs doing... wahtever it was she was doing.

He chuckled a bit and nodded. "It is, isn't it?" It was certainly making it more difficult to think of all the things that'd been worrying him - they didn't seem all that important. Thinking about Bronnie instead seemed like a much better idea.

Bronnie snuggled a little, and a rather unpleasant thought surfaced. She fought it for a while, and discovered it was pestering her. "...but... but you... you said you and Angie might've... and now this? With me?"
Unless he meant something else by the cuddling. In which case, she thought she might just die, right here.
Nevertheless, she did not move.

Something in his chest tightened with Bronnie's question, and he closed his eyes. "That.. I don't think either of us meant for that to happen. If.. Me and her are just friends, nothing more. At least..that's how I feel.." His ears drooped a bit. He really needed to talk to her about it now, it seemed. What if she thought it made them something more after all?

Ah! Joy, bliss, relief! He didn't freak out!
Bronnie thought about this. Her tail twitched. "Yeah. Okay." It seemed like a reasonable way of thinking. She couldn't really bring herself to be really angry, especially when Cyrus seemed really comfortable to lean on. "We were all pretty drunk."

"Yeah.." He smiled wanly. Thank goodness she'd decided not to get angry at him for it! "Just..smack me or something if you ever see me drinking again." He was rather certain he wouldn't try drinking again, but it was better to be safe than sorry, right?

((*will likely disappear soon for a bit* D: It is unavoidable. Near supper, and things to do after.))
Bronnie giggled. "Okay," she agreed. "I will. But only if you do the same for me. I don't want to do that again for a loooong time."
She decided to risk curling her tail around Cyrus's ankle.

{{:B Mmkay.}}
He chuckled and nodded eagerly. "Sounds fair enough. It really wasn't very fun in the end anyway."
Cyrus jumped a bit and glanced down, half-expecting to see a small pet deciding his ankle was a nice toy. Seeing Bronnie's tail instead was much better though. He smiled and snuggled a bit closer, quite content for the time being.

Bronnie looked a little bashful, having startled Cy like that. Scaring boys=not good.
Unless it was, for some reason, on purpose.
Which this wasn't.
"Yeah. No drinking for a long time."

He smiled softly. "Glad we've gotten that out of the way."
For a moment, he eyed the door warily. It was a bit surprising that no one had come up to check on them. He didn't think he'd let Zita sit alone in her room with a boy for so long when she was older - then again, Miss Sunny was a girl. Maybe they thought differently from boys about it? Either way it was still odd as far as he was concerned.

Bronnie nodded, and giggled vaguely. "Yeah." She followed his gaze to the door, and made a guess. "I sort of hope mum doesn't decide to come upstairs," she said. "I mostly don't think she would. But, I guess I never..." She giggled again, and leaned in to give Cyrus a quick peck on the cheek.

"I kinda hope she doesn't either," he mumbled. Though maybe he should be more concerned about her uncle - she did have one, didn't she? Uncles and brothers and those sorts of relatives always seemed so much more protective of little sisters and such on TV.
"Yeah.. So she's got no reason to suspect, I guess.."
He blinked, a bit of a blush staining his cheeks when she kissed him. With a goofy, boyish grin he leaned over to return the favor, brushing his lips against her cheek briefly. He was almost startled at how relaxed he was with all this - nothing at all like how it was with Rhi.

If it came to that, Bronnie had no idea how her mother might react. Well. She supposed she'd deal with that when she had to, and not any sooner.
She didn't think it would be too bad, at least.
She shifted slightly. "Maybe I"ll just stop worrying about things entirely." Sitting here and not thinking about it was much, much better.
