((I'm fine with that, but can we combine moves like doing a Final Burst Foillowed with an explosion when the blade has plunged in?))

((Ofcourse.))

The skies darkened, and the beat of giant wings thundered from above the clouds. As the clouds spread aside, a giant red beast burst forth from the heavens, speeding down to Earth like a meteor. It's wings quickly opened, and it came to a sudden stop just inches from the ground. It's rider, covered from head to toe in armor as red as blood, stepped down from his dragon, his armor clinking together. "So, does anyone dare challenge me and Thorn?" Murtaugh's hand hovered over his sword's hilt, ready for battle.

((Time to see what would have happened if Eragon were completely rested when he and Saphira fought Murtagh and Thorn.))

*A deafening roar emmited from the heavens as a brilliant blue dragon and her Rider sped toward the earth in a steep dive. Pulling up at the exact moment needed, Saphira alighted upon the ground of the collusium floor. Eragon lept off her back, landing easily, and walked slowly toward Murtagh and his dragon, Thorn. A sword with a saphire in the pommel hung from his side, the gem glimmering in the fading light that they had created by shooting through the clouds. Saphira bared her teeth in a farel snarl and glared at the red dragon across from her.*

((Eragon, be careful. We still don't know the full limits of his abilities.)) Don't worry. I'll be fine. We both will. The last time we fought them, we were exhausted from lengthy battle, and he was fresh from behind the enemies lines. We stand more than a chance now that we too are at peak condition. ((Still.....))

*Anything she was about to say was cut off when Eragon called across to Murtagh.*

Well..... I would say I'm glad to see you again, but after last we met.... I'm not sure I'm going to be able to forgive you. You let me and Saphira go, but that doesn't mean that we don't have to do what is required of us.

*He was getting rather close now, maybe about 25 yards away, with Saphira right behind him; her muscles were coiled as if she were ready to pounce. He could see Murtagh's emotionless face clearly now.*

Please Murtagh.... Arya and I.... We can find a way to free you. Spells aren't permanent, no matter how strong as long as you know the right words. Please.... you were like a brother to me before the battle of Farthen Dur, and by what you said in the Ancient Language to me, we are true brothers. Murtagh, I know you. Don't go against your family.

Thorn baed his own fangs in response to Saphira, and his large torso hovered jsut a little above Murtagh's shoulder. On your word Murtagh, and I will have that dragon's snout before it can shake a scale. Murtagh grinned and shrugged his shoulders. No need to be hasty now Thorn. "Maybe, but as you already know, I am bound by Galbatorix to do his bidding whether we are brothers or not."
He drew out Zar'roc, it's blade hissing against the steel of his sheath, like a cobra uncurling it's fangs. "Well, atleast I finally got my inheritence through all of this. I never did get to try out Zar'roc yet, this'll be a nice test." He whirled the sword in his hands like a javelin, and stood ready. "So are you jsut going to stand there, or are you going to fight, brother?"

*Eragon inclined his head so he looked at the ground. He had to force back the tears of agony that burned to be released. This shouldn't be happening, but it was, whether he wished it or not. Saphira's eyes softened a bit as she looked at him.*

((I'm sorry, little one. You know what we have to do.)) .... Yes. It goes against my heart, but I do. Whatever it takes.... that's what we said we would go to in order to end Galbatorix's reign of darkness. Now I almost wish I hadn't made that promise.... Murtagh.....

*He shook his head before raising it so his gaze was once more level with Murtagh's. His persona took on a stonelike quality to match his brother's. This was too painful to do with an open heart.*

I'm sorry, Murtagh. I truely am. If I could do anything to make it so this never happened, I would. I only wish that you know that before....

*He shook his head again. This time a single, hot tear escaped from each eye. He reached to his side and gripped the sword hilt at his waist, pulling it from it's sheath. The blade that was revealed was a perfect hue of blue, matching Saphira's scales perfectly. He held the weighty sword with effortless ease. He looked upon the blade as he spoke.*

This sword.... it was not forged for me originally. It too, like Zar'roc once belonged to another Rider. It was presented to me by Islanzadi herself. She had kept it for many a year, and deamed me worthy of weilding it. This sword will end the King's rule over Alagaesia. I swear it upon the people of this land.

A pleasent but at the same time, almost sad, smile took form of Murtaghs lips. "I'll hold you to that promise, Eragon." Shall I attack? No, not yet. If either one of us should die today, the least I can do according to my own will is to have it be a fair battle. Thorn huffed in distaste, he would rather tear both the dragon and the rider apart right now, but he did as was planned and slowly backed away, his eyes never leaving Saphira.
Murtagh stopped spinning Zar'roc and held it firmly in front of him with both hands. "One on one, just like the old days, right Eragon?"

*Eragon watched tentatively as Thorn backed away from his Rider, a rather distasteful expression on his face. It took him but a moment to realize that Murtagh, in some small way, was still trying to help. He would have to fight him to the death, but this way, it would be a much closer fight.*

Saphira, back down. Murtagh is going to face me one on one in a duel. He called off Thorn so it can be a fair duel. ((Very well, but if his dragon so much as steps toward you, I'll tear out it's jugular.... Be safe, Eragon.)) I love you too. No matter how this turns out.... thank you.

*Eragon turned back toward Murtagh when he heard him speak. The faintest ghost of a smile formed on his lips as his heart longed for things to be the way they had been, in what now seemed so long ago. He nodded sadly.*

Just like the old days... Good luck, Murtagh.

*He held his sword in the ready position Brom taught him when they spared for the first time. How ironic was it that he would be using the stance Brom taught him while using this sword.*

"Luck is for the dead!" And without another word, he sprang at Eragon. He rushed him at him with his blade hanging low, and as he came within inches of him, he quickly pulled his sword upward to drive the very tip of Zar'roc into Eragon's chest.

*Murtagh and Eragon might have been quick by human standards when they met, but now, after Eragon's transformation, Murtagh seemed to move in slow motion. With his elven strength, Eragon whipped the blue blade up easily and parried Murtagh's strike. Quickly running his sword along the length of Zar'roc, Eragon swung his arm out to the side, throwing Murtagh off balance. Eragon lept back to a safe distance where he would be safe from any surprise attacks.*

The sword's name is Du Adurna Manin, The Water's Memory. Just as this sword flows, so do I. During our last encounter, I was at the last of my endurance. You find me now at my full strength and potential. My appearance was not the only thing altered. I was also blessed with the completion of a Rider's transformation. I possess all the traits of an elf save for their balance.

Murtagh staggered back a few feet before regaining his balance. He took a moment to compose himself and nodded his head. "So, it seems I can no longer match you in swordsmanship..." He grinned then, and just then, Eragon could just barely see a glint in Murtagh's eye that would remind him of Durza. "Hehehe.... However, I too have been bestowed with a gift that makes myself far surpass you."
Murtagh held out his hand at Eragon and seemed to make a grabbing motion with his hands at him. Stenr Reisa!
The ground under Eragon shook, and suddenly the Earth around him started rising, and rising until it closed around him, trapping him within. Thrysta Deloi! And slowly, the earth started closing in on Eragon, threatening to eather suffocate him alive, or crush him entire under the weight of the Earth.

((ERAGON!!!)) Don't worry, I'm fine....

*A muffled shout could be heard through the earth just before it became loose and fell away as sand. As soon as the dirt had softened, Eragon exploded from the top of his disentegrating prison. He soared over 10 feet in the air and came down at Murtagh. He reached toward his brother, Gedwey Ignasia shining.*

Deloi, moi!

*At his word, the ground under Murtagh shifted beneath him, causing him to fall on his back. As Eragon neared the ground, he slashed at Murtagh, seeking to end the fight quickly.*
